To me I would think looking at the plant in the distance it looks like a dark purple but that could change depending on what is growing around it. I could see the color going one way or the other with differnt flowers bordering it. Ric says it's violet-blue, like spring violets, and I think I agree. I've never tried collecting seeds but if you would like them I could try.
