That works!!!
Great picture of your two little guys.... ^_^
Now that is way cute!!
Phyllis, I think the card is lovely. It's one of a kind, and if the bride wants it, and likes it, that's all that matters. Love the Celtic font too.
Looking forward to 'reading' Inaluk BJ. I do hope she'll adjust well to American living especially triple digits weather!
Janice, I mailed out the June block. Remembered to write my name on the back too! Sewed that in the wee hours one morning :(
For the next one.. I think I'll start sometime after the 4th. So it won't be out late.
Cody, when Kel gets home, he's too tired for anything, except eat and veg! Maybe that's why he doesn't have too many friends!
Hope all you sistahs avoid being unnecessarily exposed to extreme heat.
I'm very exhausted right now. My hands are too weak to continue typing and my forehead is kinda feeling like it's in a vise grip!!
Excuse me again, I'll swallow them some Tylenol, and just take a long rest.
To those I missed saying hello, how about a hug?
((((((((((((((((((ALL MY LOVELY SISTAHS AND NIECES))))))))))))))))
God bless all of you.
Love you too!!
Hi All,
I also like to give {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} and receive them..... I got to the post office and thank you all for telling me that Cindy's address is the correct one... That one did not make it to the post office yet as I was not sure of the addy, but will get it there soooooon....
Ran to 6 diffrent places that I needed to get things at and then lugged 400.00 dollars worth of food into the car then had to take them out and put away... Don't you know not ten min's after I was done #2 son comes over for lunch....
I am hopeing you are all doing pretty good... Seems like there is not enough time in a day for all we need to get done...
Hugs to all,
Susan

Hey Susan,
No rush on mine, lol. I'm on vacation and won't be home until July 7th.
Well we didn't go to Washington today instead into Pendleton. Now we are having lunch and the going to watch Austrailia Sachets" need to find some lavender and other potpourri fillings for them.
Thanks girls I knew you would agree there was nothing wrong with it
jstu spend a couple hours looking for 3 inch pots and "saucers" to use int eh baskets and now I am going to search online as I just want some plain plastic ones that all are the same color LOL
I was also looking at stuff to make a guest book for them but not sure if it would work found a site that does it but I kinda wnated to make it with the design on the invitations ...but they do have a sage green swirl that would work I suppose
check this site out I thought this was neat for something different
http://www.guestbookstore.com/index.html
just have to wait till pay day next month to order it
Boy will I be glad when this heat wave is over and this place is washed with God's rain.
I have to do something each day outside, planting or weeding and before noon it's just to hot to stay out. Today I took Brugs. from big pots and planted them in the ground. Still have 4 others to get in the ground but I'll have to wait until it rains so I can dig the holes. This ground is very hard red clay, and when dry, we have to use a pick to help dig. This morning I was planting in an existing flower bed. Love to all, stay cool.
Jolene Nicole
Afternoon everyone!
(((((Bear Huggs)))))) Jaye that picture is great
Wowo susan t sounds lik eyou needed a break after that much moving around of groceries.. Dont over do it..
Cindy enjoy your time away.. Just dont forget about us.. sniff sniifff
Just in from work and oing to spend some time with Max before he heads in tonight for work.. Had a few customers come back for their second visits in my chair at the shop.. Was a beautiful day out and hard to stand looking out the window but I just keep remembering that I will be off next week..
BBL
Donna
Jaye, you would have gone crazy with me today. Went to my local quilt shop and they had the most beautiful oriental fabrics I have ever seen. I had to be careful not to drool on them. I only bought one but had to have it. It is chocolate brown with gold stadium mums. I can just see it with a large 12-15" block and maybe teal in a log cabin around it.
I was such a good girl! When I checked told me I had a $89 credit coming. I told them I thought it had to be a mistake as I couldn't remember anything that wuld have given me a credit. They checked things over and couldn't find an error but finally said they would ask the accountant. Here I could have had $89 worth of free fabric; but it just wouldn't have felt right. Oh, well, easy come, easy go...:(
Janice, you know you did the right thing! Your guilt will eat at your conscience each time you look at the 'free' fabric! Moreover, it's not in your character :D
Wish I could shop with you, since both quilting stores at the beach decided NOT to carry any Kona Bay fabric line :( But that doesn't stop me from getting my Oriental prints online!
Faye, I have very clayey soil too. Just drop some Gypsum in the hole, before you add amended soil. My soil is so bad, that we made raised beds for all our brugs. I'm glad DLs are more forgiving.
Donna, like Maid M would say.....save your pennies. We'll be at Cookie's next year, and that could mean a group vacation for all of us!!
Cody, so sorry I couldn't call you back. I fell in deep slumber until Kel return and right now, he's snoring away in the recliner.
Poor guy is worn out. When he got back, we have to immediately leave for MB and pick up more supplies. Managed to stop at a country restaurant and get some Calabash style fried seafood. Wrong choice there for my stomach.
At around 9 p.m, he had to wearily trudge to his dad to give him his bath plus haircut. I prayed that his feet would co-operate.
I can cry seeing what this man does for his family. But I am assured in knowing that his rewards will be waiting for Him up there.
Tomorrow, will be day#1 for Murdock's chemo treatment in the morning.
So.. I'll bid you all goodnight.. sweet dreams, and may He answers all your prayers.
Love y'all!
Jaye, that's ok i understand.Good night and sleep well.
That's what's so special about you Cody.
You're extremely compassionate. Love you so much!!
Good night Cody.. Synda.. don't lurk.. you need your sleep too!
Trisha, I am sure the birthday party went well, under your capable hands.
Good night again ladies.
AWWWW how sweet of you.I love you so much too Jaye. You get some rest now.I may not be on until at night tomorrow night and next night. My baby comes home tomorrow until thrusday then off again he goes.
Sorry I missed your call Cody, took momma to the Dr for a check up and stayed and visited for a bit.Just got home a little while ago.
That's fine Synda, how did her appt. go?
Good night ladies.....Sweet Dreams........Tomorrow is a new day........

You too have a great one LK!
Good morning!! I have some Amish Friendship Bread if ya'll want some!
Morning Ladies,
I subscribe to Fine Gradening and get emails from them often. Check out this funny looking flower.
I also will be taking over the thread where we keep the swaps listed. And if anyone is intrested in doing a Fantasy Fairy Garden swap, JLMK. With Stacey MIA, Janice said she wouldn't mind if we kept it going.

Ladies,
I have taken over the thread for upcoming swap and have started a new room. Stacey is really busy and doesn't have time.

Still playing Catch up.....
Deborah.....we aren't worried, we know it will happen when the time is right.
Hope all are doing well today.
Jaye, extra prayers for FIL today...chemo is not fun.
Spent yesterday morning doing final cleanup from the party and getting mom's patio back in order. The after noon I spent sitting at the Doctors office. Hope she is right....the Doc thinks Maybe my stomach and pain issues might be my new medication and how I am taking it....so we are going to try a new routine and see how it works. Might have to go back to my old expensive medication. Can't do other tests right now...no insurance:(
After that got grocery shopping out of the way....it is an adventure to go out these days...my poor old car is in need of a LOT of work.....our mechanic is on vacation so we have an appointment for July 13 to get Tie Rods replaced and the window fixed. Until then every time I leave the house I just pray it makes it back home again.
Waving to everyone....need to get out work on mom's new bed and get some weeds out of my own before it gets too warm. Talk to ya later.
I will Synda,he will be home this evening.
Jaye, saying prayers the FIL's chemo goes easy on him. The first week is always the hardest while the body adjusts to this Stuff that's being injected. Once over that hurdle ,it does get easier and you learn how to adjust for it. I'll keep you close in thought today. Hugs, and Blessings, Barb
Jaye, sending a hug and special thought for you and Kel as well as Murdock. Barb is right, the body does adjust and things get somewhat easier. Will be getting a package off to you in the morning--sending it priority so you will get it soon. Loved be able to be of assistance to a dear sistah!!
Barb, how is Norm doing?
I got my first message from Kim in Costa Rica and and she is loving the challenge of the in depth studies. She is my child who needs a challenge to do her best. Not her Mom that's for sure--I just muddle through and smile and wave as the kids say.
Afternoon BSFs !!!
Well, Mike and his fellow exchange students all boarded the bus to Houston last night and started their journey home around 11:30pm... rode all night to arrive at a camp site. They'll rest up there before being bussed to the Houston Int Airport today before each of their flights home.
So, once again... I'm home alone... and it's just way too quiet here.
BUT, my sister is coming for the 4th of July this weekend, and I really need to spend a few days cleaning house... so, I have plenty to keep me busy.
All these anxious children are making their way back home now.
What a nice group picture. Well BJ wish you were closer as this house is quiet also. I am rather enjoying the quiet but I am sure it will get lonesome before long--I think.
If you were closer I would take you to this neat little cafe in Havana and we could have one of their fantastic mocha drinks to cool ourselves and watch the quaint happens in the little town. Instead, I am cleaning --yuck.
last night, I had a cafe mocha from mcd and thought of you, Marion. I think of you all the time though anyway.
They are soooo good. Mondays they give samples but I wanted the real deal.
Oh Mike has already left for home? Oh BJ I know you are going to miss him so much. You'll be keeping in touch with him my mail or computer?
Oh, I so wish we could have that mocha drink at the quaint little town near you, Marion... that would be so wonderful today... but, alas... I have to clean house too... ugh.
Yep, Deborah... we're both on facebook now... well, actually, he's been on facebook for a long time... I signed up a while back, but am just now learning how to use it because it's the "way of the times" to keep in touch long distance... he also promised to email me from time to time... and he also promised that he'll be back someday... and Don promised to take me to Europe someday to see him... and "wahhhh"... I'm getting teary eyed again... gotta stop.
And he'll be a grown man soon with a college degree, job, & family. Just knowing that you helped form his teenage years into the man he is to become gives me good goose bumps.
Me too. :-}
Synda what type of butterfly was the post in the last thread? The purple color wasn't natural was it? Without the purple it looked like an American Copper, Lycaena phlaeas. ???? Did you find him in your yard?
Trying to cool off in the house. Just got back..
Thank you Trisha.
Barb and Marion.. that is a very sage advice. His first wasn't easy. They found a 'growth' in Murdock's neck, besides the lung. They said the treatments will take care of that. Kel's dad was reliving the times when he had to accompany son #2 for his chemos.
Murdock says to tell his pretty prayer ladies how he appreciates the prayers.
Update on uncle Ronald: He's showing some improvement today, talked a bit... though not out of the critical stage, yet.
With God, all things are possible.
Awww Deborah.. I am sad... so, you only think of Maid M. and not the rest of us :( That's okay, senior citizen gets special treatment!
Right BJ?
Mike has a wonderful personality and he will go far with it. Who knows he might be the next premier of Austria and we all can brag that we knew him at one time!! He got to bring along with him positive American experience, especially after meeting so many SI sistahs!!
Plus, BJ and Don make the perfect hosts, representing USA!
My family's social network center is also Facebook. I haven't been on it for a year.
Cindy, don't forget that the Flat Envie Swap will soon start!
I already got dmails from anxious swappers!!! Can we name some addicts here!!
Thanks Maid M.. looking forward to the package. Got tired looking for it online, you certainly saved me my behind!!
I sure wish we're all there with you in that quaint town, sipping mocha presumably in a quaint coffee house!!
Kel had to return to work. Like we say, no pause button... but only for an hour.
So, I think I'll rest this head for a while.
Thanks again for continuing to pray for Murdock and Ronald.

Deborah, how are things going with the wedding plans? Yes, I can not see a mocha ad without thinking of our trip--I think we hit every Mickey D's between Albany and Kemp, Tx. LOL What fun that was. I hope you are saving your pennies for next June and a trip to Ohio. I can do it with you as a navigator.
BJ, we just discovered this little cafe and not only does it have the most wonderful cool refreshing drinks but sandwiches that are really special. Quaint adds new meaning but that is what make it an enchanting place to go, sit down and relax. Once you walk in the door, everyone knows everyone else--no strangers. I love the feeling.
Ok, BJ, Kim keeps telling me I need to get on Facebook but I am still dragging my feet. Heard from her several times today and she really is enjoying it so far. Saw her first monkey in the wild--a mom with a baby; has been named "Kim from Havana de La Florida not de Cuba" I think I wrote it correctly. Need to check her message. Had a rather exciting entrance at San Jose--apparently the deposed President of Honduras arrived about the same time as her flight and he was been lead through the airport in his pajamas!! That must have been a visual. Then Arenal Volcano has some eruptions. What a way to start!!
What kind of things do you put in the flat envie. And just what flat envie do you use?
Cindy, the name of the swap is actually
"Stuffed Envelope Swap" where you stuff things in a legitimate, any size envelope, with whatever you can think of.
No boxes are allowed.
Too cute.. so Kim is back with the 'wilds'?
Oh Jaye, how I wish you were here also we could all enjoy this little cafe--wonderful but limited menu. Those are usually the best ones!!
I am quite sure Deborah thinks of all the other, LOL, it is we sampled every Mickey D's we went by with cool Mochas all the way to BJs. It was a wonder we weren't on a horrible caffeine high--maybe we were? I love those things!!! Believe me Deborah was with me drink for drink!!!
We found that the chemo treatments did control some other growths that appeared with Ross. Then others were controlled with the Lupron injections. Horrible to watch being given but I was told painless. Prayers continuing here for all. Jaye, Kel's plate (as well as yours) is really full now and sometimes the distraction of the job helps--my sewing did. Still you both need to remember to take time for yourselves. I can say that so easily now but was very hard to actually do when I should have been doing it.
I have received another dinner invitation for tonight so I need to run through the shower and get myself ready.
Yes, and 8 emails later seems to be having a "ball".
