(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good Morning!
Trisha, look at that pretty pond! Looks like youall are working pretty hard!
Hey Kathy, how you doing today?
MArion, hope that hand is still on the mend?
Bj, I guess I missed the post that said you were leaving. Sorry. Hope you have a safe trip.
Cody, how you doing today? How are those little babies doing?
Bon, Crissy, Jaye, Synda, MArion, Faye, and everyone else, hope you all have a great day.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

hi LK, doing alright, just trying to stay cool

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Good Morning!! It's hot hot hot! Days like this I'm glad I'm stuck inside the building at work.

You're going to love that pond when it's done Trisha. Best supervisors there are!

Marion I wish your hand would just stop giving you trouble and heal already! Cat bites are strange, my cat bites and scratches me every day playing around and I have never gotten anything from her, 13 years running and knock on wood!

Boy I'm glad I got to work when I did, one of the major interstates around here is closed because a big rig that overturned hauling pigs, now the police are trying to herd up the pigs, sorry mom but that's hilarious!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hello everyone.
Sorry Cody, I missed your call too. We got back very late last night.
Got a lot I can unload off my chest.. but no one deserve to read anything that will only bring you all down.

So.. happy thoughts here!

Have a safe trip BJ!

Maid M.. unless you're ambidextrous, I'm sure you miss the use of your right hand. So what's the story on your kitty? Is she going anywhere or will you have to hire a shrink?

LK, I was once put on a bland diet on acct. of ulcers. I wasn't a happy American Asian. Did it for a while and then gave it up after I've healed. But I don't go overboard with my hot chillis as I used to.

Congratulations Trisha! Did you do a victory dance around your pond?
Now you could plan for one or two bull frogs!!!
Btw, how are the brugmansias doing? Are those tomato plants in the back?Sage looks like she loves helping her grandpa.

Janice, now you can look forward to more plant shopping! That happened to me once. Had someone mowed the lawn.. and being this garden is such a complex one, he mowed down ALL my Louisiana irises that were planted along the ditch. Didn't get mad.. so now I have cannas taking their places.

Hi Kathy. Yes, stay cool please. How is Michael doing?

It's 10 degrees less today.. about 88*. Crissy, if I have my druthers, I'll be staying indoors and nurse this migraine.
But, today is the only day my neighbour could come and plant the daylilies, a few daruntas and brugmansias. So, I got to be out there, and 'supervise'.. make sure gypsum is placed in the holes first.. tags assigned to the right ones..

When you want to do something right, it's not enough writing down instructions. You got to be there too alongside, especially when he's a young worker :D

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Afternoon everyone....please stay cool.....

Jaye I hate migraines..used to get them really bad...

Now we will tell YOU the same thing you always tell us....if you have anything you need to unload then you go right ahead...it isn't good to keep things bottled up and that is what we are all here for, to listen and help one another. And Heaven knows you have listened to all of us enough times!!

And I am so stiff and sore I can hardly move today....have to run to the bank, go see what I can find out about swimming lessons for Sage, take MIL to therapy, and ...be back to watch Sage...not much getting done around here today. Tomorrow just have to take MIL to the doctors for a check in the morning so maybe will get something done the second half of the day. We will see what we see.

Need to get going, will talk to you later.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Unload Jaye, unload. We're all listening.

Jaye, if you don't want to unload for ALL to see, pick a confidant and dmail her,,,but unload.
got to go out and tie down things again,,,storms hopefully coming in to cool things off. Looks to be north of Valdosta now, heading southeast fast. so bbl

Marion, lovely flowers.

I posted a bunch of pictures here http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1006068/ I don't want to have to repost them. They are all at the top.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Well it is an exciting time at our house right now. Kim just got her first bifocals and she swears the step move, and she really raises her feet to accommodate them. Oh does this bring back the memories of my first pair. LOL I did tell her she was lucky as I had been bifocals long before her age!! Well at least she will have a chance to adjust before she flies out Friday.

Jaye, the kitty is still here but we have moved 2 others outside so we are down to 2 in the house. The attitude of the 2 inside has changed drastically since the other are now porch kitties. No decision has been made as to what I will do with the one that bit me until I can get over this mess of a hand. Better but still have a doctor's appointment tomorrow for a check.

We sure had a scare today when we went out to get Kim's glasses--one of the bank temperature signs definitely was not working right as it said 185!! Talk about a shock to see that when you are driving along!! Supposedly hit 10 yet again today. Marilyn enjoy the storms as we have no rain or storms in sight. My water bill will be outrageous.

Have a good evening all--off my nightly soaking of the wound.

Marilyn Glen st. Mar, FL(Zone 9a)

boo hoo Marion,,,they went east again!!!!! It is now 85 outside,,don't know if we're going to see 74 tonight or not.
catch you all tomorrow,,,going to bed myself..long day,,heat makes me more tired than usual.
good night all, rest well and have a great day tomorrow

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You all in the path of bad weather... please be careful.
About that time of the year us hurricane states need to stock up on emergency supplies, especially making sure our generators work.

Maid M.. hope it's a good report at the doctor's tomorrow.
Kim.. you're not imagining things.. the steps and the grounds do move!! I still can't adjust to wearing bi-focals, and it has been umpteen years now!!

Thanks Crissy.. Trisha and Marilyn.
Unload it all to a church sister tonight after working in the garden. Somehow, the combination of two really did me some good. My mind's purged, and this body's tired.
Thank God, I didn't react 'stupidly' yesterday, if not I'll just be playing into the devil's hands.

I'll see you all in the morning. Synda, I do hope you get to feeling better.

Good night everyone.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Been a long long day and I am tired.

We actually made it up to 73 degrees today! They keep saying we are going to get a little rain...but no luck so far.

All of you with the "185 degree" (oh MY!) temps be careful.....stay safe.

We sure are missing a lot of people these days.........hope everyone is just busy with gardens and things...

Cody, Synda how are you two doing?

Have a good night everyone....

Good morning everyone.
Breakfast is ready. Scrambled eggs.. all country eggs. Buttered cheese biscuits. Coffee is on.

Think in the summer, many rather be outside. Beautify the gardens or just doing something we can't do in the winter. We complain so much of being stuck indoors in the winter, and now we complain of the heat and mosquitoes. Oh well.. along with the good, comes the bad.

That's a beautiful grasshopper Laura. Sage is lucky she has 2 women in her life that she can turn to for artistic results.
BTW, I'm glad you had a reprieve on some bills. Still continuing to pray for you.

This morning, Kel is bringing his father to the hospital to run more tests or whatever procedures necessary. He is still in good spirits and knowing there are so many angels on this earth praying for him, buoyed him even further.

Have a good day everyone.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Good Morning!! Jaye I'm glad you talked to someone. I'm one of those when I have something going on, good or bad, I tell everyone, it gets rid of the unnecessary stress of keeping it all balled up inside.

YUM!! I bet that was delicious! Made me hungry!

Today is my dad's birthday and we're having a birthday party here today for all of the June birthdays, so I'll make that announcement. I just spent the first hour here at work on the phone with him! LOL

Have a great day Jaye, I'm still praying for Kel's dad.

Glenview, IL

Good morning Sistahs!!

Oh my Jaye, wonderful Breakfast! I'm starving. Thank you...

Aww, sorry you have had some bad feelings, I am glad you were able to talk it out with your Church sister! Always a good thing to have that. Now, hope your migrane is gone too...Say Hi to Kel, I hope all goes well with his Dad.

Yep please be careful in all the dangers of this Crazy weather, keep hydrated, and the saftey packs ready...

I'm hoping BJ is having a good time!

Marion, How are you doing? Hand healing up well I hope.

LOL, mind is short today, can't keep concentration on any one thing...well, thats normal for me, hehehe.

OMG, here is some really big news! Sistah's! I, me actually drove, not one but three major highways. I sort of had no choice in the matter. Dh suddenly had a sever'bout of exhaustion! OMG, I was flipping out and had to brave it up and take the wheel. So, proud to say I did it! for two whole hours...

Today, the girls and I are going to look and possibly choose a Baby Red Cheeked Conure! Won't bring it hope for another couple of weeks. We aren't really ready for it anyway and We want it to be feeding on it's own first...Going to call the vet and set up a visit. So we are excited about that. Oh and the girls insist on a new cage, they are not ready to "share" feathers house.

Well i hope you are enjoying the gardens and just plain good days.
Thought I would share what I made for those not watching RWB thread...I know I told some of you at the Sistah Gathering...so here is how RWB dreamcatcher turned out.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hello Crissy. Yep, it's better to let it all out, even though you had already found the solution. Cody was sweet as to check on me this morning as to my mental state of mind. Lol.. it's still half baked from the sun!!
As for migraines, I'm heading for another one today. Called Kel to pick up another bottle of that Excedrin for Migraines.

Trisha, I hope your MIL's tests results bore good news today. You certainly keep yourself going for those you care.
I had thought of sending you some DLs, but best time will be in November.
Kel said if I were to do it now, they will probably turn into mush.

So proud of you Sistah Judy!! I bet Betty will be bragging on her RWB dreamcatcher for years to come!!
Yeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaawww!!!! You've conquered your fears!!!! You tackled the highways!!!
GO on with your bad self now!!! See.. you could do anything if you put your mind to it. And you know you got to take over, cause Steve needs you!!!
ARMWRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And do share pics of your new "Wings" :D

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Thanks for the breakfast Jaye, looks it is the only one I will get this morning.....take care that headache......appreciate the thought but Kel is right about the DL's but we all know that November isn't all that far away is it?

Hey Judy you did good, we knew you could do it....you will be driving allover before we know it. Can't wait or pics of the new baby!

Waving to everyone, will be back later but I am due at MIL's in about five minutes!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh Jaye, thanks for breakfast but I am afraid Kim and I went to a really unique little restaurant in Havana for breakfast this morning. We discovered it the other day after one of my doctor's appointments. Their speciality is scones and clotted cream but unfortunately we got there to late and had their breakfast sandwich. Not complaining as it is outstanding. It is the neat little place with no matching tables or chairs, local art on the wall and everyone is a stranger until you sit down to eat. Everyone leaves having chatted with everyone. Such a relaxing friendly place to go. Oh did I mention the food it very, very good?

Well, hand is better (still looks bad) but the doctor said I still have a ways to go with the healing process. Bummer.

Cooler today but trying to help Kim get the last few things together for her trip and encouraging her the world will turn right side up again as soon as she adjust to her bifocals. Oh do I remember it well......

Waving to all, stay cool and healthy.

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Glad you are still seeing the doctor for that hand, Marion. You sure did have a nasty bite. I love my animals dearly but I don't know that I would keep one that bite me like that 3x's.

Judy you done good! See what you can do when you have to. sorry for the reason but glad you were able to show yourself and others what you are made of!

I love the warm weather and being near the water, but after hearing what you all are going through in Florida and even NC I am glad I live in Michigan. We have been having weather in the 80's and that is hot enough for me. Some nice breezes coming through the window yesterday as I was sewing, shaded by the big trees in my front yard. I hate AC and do anything not to turn it on but when the humidity hits I do. Luckily that is about four days a year up here.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Hi girls.......feeling a bit better.I can see it's going to take a little time. The reaction to the Relafen has stirred up the fibromyalgia,so very tired a lot.But it will pass in time,I pray.Need at some point today to run to the store,Rick has been living on cereal and bologna sandwiches.Poor guy deserves some meat and potatoes.

Judy the dreamcatcher is beautiful........

Jaye I'll get mirgaines if my allergies/sinus are acting up.I'll take some sinus meds and it will go away.Praying for a great out come for Dock.

Crissy Happy Birthday wishes to your daddy.

Trisha praying all is well with MIL.

I could so go back to bed !!!!!!!!!!!!

Jaye, thanks, as I said I’m quite proud of it. Mom is far better at humanoids than I am, but I do have some skill.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Afternoon everyone. Hope your all doing fine. Looks like most of you are busy outside, or doing other things. Not too many are posting!
Hubby is doing better, but has a ways to go yet! Follow up visits are this week, so we will have to do more test.
Be good, and stay out of trouble.

OO And this is my bed in progress.. lol

I lined the back corners with crocromsia lucifer bulbs and asiatic lillies that were scattered through the beds. Since here I have added a few bearded iris fans as starters and a single beautiful coneflower plant.

I was thinking a butterfly / hummingbird bed.. Some of the trees have been cut out since they were considered bug trees and it gave the maple the room it needed... I was planning a shade bed but once the fenceline was cleaned out I now have plenty of sun..

Oh my what a cute ladybug picture Synda. Take care of yourself please. Seems like a lot of us are being "waysided" by first one thing and then another!! This bite is really started to drain me now as I have so many things I want/need to do and am limited with the hand.

Janice, I am seriously considering getting rid of my cat as much as it hurts me. The is a really nice place near here that cares for cats like her but at the moment they aren't taking any. Trying to raise funds to have the ones there updated with their annual shots.

We are having a lot of thunder and lightening and rain off and on. Wish it was more on then off.

Well, think I will shut this machine down, go clean the hand and go to bed!! Had dinner with the GDs and I am pooped!!!
