OMG! Betty sounds like your Roger has same sense of humor I do lol! I received my AA degree in history a month before DH and I got married...friends asked what my degree was in and I would tell them History...they'd give me a wierd look and ask "why HISTORY?" and I would just tell them... 'I'm marryin an old man...so had to study History so we'd have something in common' teehee! Dh (11 yrs my sr) still doesnt like that joke lolol!

No on the loosing weight... I gained 25 lbs in the last 2 mos :o( ugh! and cant be in the heat cause I get dehydrated too easy right now. so as long as the AC is workin...I'm good lolol!

Too cute, yep same sense of humour..11 years isn't that much older...well, you can still give work instructions from sitting in front of the window AnnMarie..kids and DH will gladly take them right? lol

DH probably DOES like the joke...I used to pretend I didn't like him telling everyone he was hoping to get my life insurance but it was a put on...was good for a laugh..

Hello there!
Just got back to the house to do some laundry, house cleaning will have to wait till later!
They are giving him 2 more units of blood today, because his hemoglobin level is still at 8.7. They will not let him go until it reaches at least 10 -12. So pray that these two units do the trick?
He is getting cranky, and that means he is feeling better. He complained that they won't let you sleep at night, because of the temperature, and blood pressure, and more blood work... Typical for the hospital!
Dr.'s said today, he will be on a bland soft food only diet, for at least a month, to let the ulcer heal. He just gave the Dr. a dirty look! But I will do my best to make sure he sticks to it!
Off to get some laundry done.
Later

Linda Kay, while he is still in the hospital...go in and remove what he can't have from the cupboards...because unless he can't walk...he will get into them! Or he will train the dog/cat to get them for him! LOL

Saying prayers he is on the mend and on his way home soon.

So laughing..boy Debbie you have sick hubbies pegged don't you...

LindaKay, best he not rush getting out and relapse...maybe staying in for the weekend might be the best thing possible for him (and you!)
You must be tired, running to and from the hospital..you didn't say, do you have a long drive to get there or is it in your home town?

LK, also....if they put him on an iron supplement, make sure you put him on colace or other softner...or he will not be happy. Senekot has a pill form that is really good also. My 15 years of "trial by error" learning has picked up a few important facts that are really needed.

Betty, your not kidding! I almost have to duct tape my DH to a chair if the doctor grounds him to rest. The only time he has ever listened to the doctors orders was with the brown recluse bite. He went into the doc for the "snip" and came home and mowed the lawn! Idiots I tell you!
