Cindy, you're a very good seamstress, besides being a craftsperson. I wish I can draft my own pattern.
So sorry about your kitty. I hate to say that if you want Merlin, Kel will have to come along!!

Crissy.. I do hope your DH gets his money straightened out. That's quite irresponsible of his boss.

Trisha, how is Doris? Pretty sure you and your mom would be checking on her.

Will be gone this evening. Kel suggested Indian food... no way I can turn that down.

That's part of their job, I guess, as a manager for a department. I'm sure it will be straightened out but what worries me is a lot of companies put it on the next paycheck, which won't work. The second problem is I don't make enough for what I'm qualified for, I'm way way way overqualified for my position and not getting paid for my degree. Enough of this LOL!!

Cindy I'm sorry about your kitty too. LOL Jaye!

Dave's supposedly going to work and I want to go see my friend if she's working. If she's not these contacts are coming out tonight, they're driving me nuts today!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Geesh, I just left breadcrumbs for Faye back a few rooms, and here we are at another one!
Ladies, it is about that time for hubby to be coming home, so you all have a wonderful week-end.
Bj, I will be peeking in for the flash of that red chili pepper! You be good now!

Cindy sorry about your kitty......

BJ, Looking for that little red hot car......

Doris is home.....her daughter has been staying over there for now so we are letting them get settled.....she has always been one of those perfectly dressed and not a hair out of place at any hour persons. Mom talked to the lady who does Doris' hair to let her know Doris was coming home.....today is Jennifers day off so she brought her stuff over and did Doris' hair at home....But Doris has been a very Good Paying....Very Good Tipping customer every week for many years.....
Hospice brought in a Hospital bed, wheel chair etc. for her....her first comment is what did they put that C%#P in her house for? And she Does Not Want Anyone staying with her during the day.......she IS a stubborn old lady

End of my day. I forgot to say I bought two hosta and a lamb's ear too. Mike and Norman put everything on the patio for me this evening. It's up to me to tear up the grass.

Cindy - I am so sorry about your kitty. The dresses you made are just beautiful ! I used to make almost all my clothes, but I don't sew much anymore. Seeing your work does give me incentive though.

Juanita - Argyle is such a pretty old kitty. My two are 16 now, and I treasure every day I have with them.

Jay - Thanks for posting that picture ! Now I can put faces to the names and that should help me remember who's who.

Linda Kay - I got your D mail, and I attempted to add my name. I hope it works. Thanks.

Anyone ready to shed the bra for something more comfortable ? I hope everyone has a good night and I hope everyone gets to sleep in their own bed - lol ! Good night...

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Penny you don't like wearing bras. I hate them!!!. I usually go without but lately I've had to wear them with so much going on, but around 4ish they come OFF!!!!

OK LK, I will make the kids for you. I think I have one already cut out, so that's a big help. I love sewing but I hate pinning the patterns down and cutting out!!!

My DGS got $120 last night plus a new skate board and the new ipod touch screen thingie.

Well it's my turn to cook din din, I'm making beef strogenoff so i guess i better go.

Well, Jaye, if Kel comes with the kitty, I'll take the kitty! He was such a good sport in Texas and I so enjoyed talking to him. He has such diverse interests and he is so comfortable to talk with. I miss you both LOTS and hope that he will consider coming with you again next year. Tell him I have some old Asimov and Bradbury I would share.

Hi Kim, as far as I know Stacey hasn't started it yet. I think she is real busy writting a book. It's cold and windy here expecting another thunder & lightening storm tonight, but not as bad as the other night.. Hope you have a good weekend.

Oh man some peeps that are freinds with my mom live on a nursery . They had brought my Mom some wood and I commented on how I would love to have some of the black potting pots that they had in the back of their truck. I think they are like ten gallon size perfect for my brugs ^_^ Need to get some more. Mom says well just let them know and they will get me more.

OK signing off gotta get din din on the table

Good Night

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

OMG... you girls got wound up with chatter while I was gone... I'll never catch up now.

Yep... I'm home... but it's dark now, and can't get a pic tonight of the "LITTLE" red pepper... it's a lot tinier than I had though... but cute as a button. It's like a toy car.
After we left the car lot, Don took Mike and I to Outback to celebrate... I drove the Tuscon, he drove the Miata with Mike in the passenger seat... I couldn't find him when a couple cars got between us... and totally lost him when we got off the freeway... had to pull over in a parking lot to call him to come get me. I had NO idea where the restaurant was.
Then, he drove the little pepper till we got out of Dallas traffic (was traffic hour, on Friday... really bad timing)... So, I drove the rest of the way to Kemp... where we pulled over to let Mike get in the car with Don, and I went to Canton to pick up Kristi to spend the weekend with us... Steven had to look it over, then Kristi had to stop at Walmart... and before I knew it, it was too dark for pictures when we got home.

Will do that tomorrow... before we take the kids to the Mall... ugh... teenagers at the mall is not a good time for old people.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

whoo hoooo BJ I get to ride in it monday ??????
oh geez is there room for my bag fishing pole and millie? roflmao

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I did read a little on the last page, and caught that Kel wants the recipe for the rib marinade.
Mix all this in a bowl... and let stand for about 10 minutes.
(I doubled the recipe for 10 pounds of riblets)
· 4 ounces DARK Beer at room temperature
· 2 garlic cloves
· 1 ounce soy sauce
· 2 tablespoon onion
· 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
· 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
· 1/4 teaspoon parsley
· 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
· 1/8 teaspoon salt

then, put your ribs in a zip lock bag, and pour in the marinade... knead the ribs and marinade till it's all coated.
Then open a corner of the zip lock and burp it... get as much air out as you can...
Put in the fridge over night... I kept it in there about 24 hours...
We smoked the riblets for about 6 hours at 180*-200* using Apple wood chips, then wrapped them in foil with the rest of the beer poured over them (about 4oz) and put them in the oven for about an hour at 350*.
They fell off the bone, and I didn't need bbq sauce at all... but Mike and Don did like them with bbq sauce too.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Well... Phyllis... I don't know.. I know your little yellow school bus will fit in the trunk... and Millie can ride in your lap... but you might not get to bring the fishing pole... not to fear... we have fishing poles though.

This car is definitely NOT a grocery go getter... will take me several trips to get all I buy sometimes.

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

But worth it, I bet! How did you like driving it with the wind in your hair? Nothing like a sports car. They are so much fun to drive. I think even Mike will have trouble leaving it. An Don will probably find all kinds of reasons why he HAS to drive it. Congrats!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Actually, Janice... I think it would probably be best if he did drive it and leave me the Tuscon... I do most of the shopping when he's at work, and the Tuscon just makes sense...
Don't get me wrong.. I LOVE the little car... it's really cute... but probably the most impractical thing we've ever bought. Besides that scooter, that he starts once in a while and drives down the street and back to keep the battery charged...

We put our heads together this evening, and realized that every JUNE we buy something... don't know why... but he just has an itch in June...
3 years ago this month we bought the Tuscon... 2 years ago this month we bought the jet skis... Last June we bought the scooter... this year its the Miata. I think we really need to stop this now...

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Wish we were closer, I'd take the scooter off his hands.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL... Trisha... He really loves his scooter... he just doesn't ride it much...
and, BTW... the Miata is only a few inches longer than the scooter... really.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Little cars are fun! I really miss my little MG Midget.....I loved that car!!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I'm calling it a night... these kids are going to watch a movie... and I just can't stay up that long...

One thing I am going to do tomorrow, whether Don likes it or not, is to stop in Kemp and take a photograph of some purple flowers I saw today growing on the side of the road... I just googled "purple pom pom flower" and I think that it's a Common Milkweed... but I could be wrong... if it's something I can grow here, I really really want some... it was stunning among the other wildflowers on the highway.

Morning Glories! rise and shine!

got hot coffee, pomegranate juice, Bruegger's Bagels, mostly the hot plain ones and sun-dried tomato and asiago cheese flavor, and their flavored cream cheese spreads, both garden veggie and the strawberry!

grub's on, gals!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning!
My, you're on breakfast duty Bon? Thankeeee!!! Love bagels, learning to enjoy them with a spread of sugar free syrup. Yummy.

Thanks for the recipe BJ. I'll add an Asian twist to that. Instead of parsley, I'll sub with some fresh grated ginger. Dark beer huh? Kel still talk of that tender delicious ribs.. no sauce necessary. As is.. tres bon!
Kel says, next June, just get a Dodge Charger for him ;)

LOL Penny!! Me hates my flopper stoppers!!! Would only wear them for decency sake when in public!!

Thank you Janice. Kelvin is much more open with you all than with his relatives. Showed how comfortable he was. I wasn't in the least worried that he might regret 'accompanying' me. I knew you all would be exactly like I expected.
Lord willing, he'll be there at Cookie's too. He says hope to find a used book store there too!!

How's the angel gosling, Cody?

There you are Kim. I know you are still on cloud 9 over your new home!

Cindy, the black pots will be pretty for brugs. I still have a few in 10 gallons green colored plastic pots. They certainly don't stand out.

Well, I've been trying to get more DLs planted, and it seems someone here has been practising his rain dance, with much success!!! So, hoping today, rain will hold off long enough to get them in ground.
Also, taking a trip to this lady whose nursery every year, sells brugs. Gonna see what she got this time. As though I don't have enough!!

Time for me to feed Dallas and Merlin.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone. Bj, Where is the picture? We get up early, and thet is no red chili pepper?
Sounds like you had fun with it?

Glenview, IL

BJ...Giant Armwrap!! I got my package yesterday! Thank you thank you.
Will try and plant them before my company comes today, if not tomorrow for sure!

Well i am ready! As of yesterday at about 2:30, said I am done and just sat, looked about the yard...wow, it's come a long way since the beginning of the year. Tons left to do but for this weekend it's all good.

While, I was looking at all the changes that have been made, couldn't help but to reminice about my boy...we moved here when he just turned three, now 13 almost 14...he has grown and I just can't believe all that has gone on...Here he Mary poppin's it off the tree top that once stood in the yard, lol down that came!(it just died) and I was kind of thankful for it. He learned to ride his bike, and skate board, hauled soil, rock and hefted weelbarrows of debris in the compost bin...Had tug of war with his friends and played hard with his sisters...
Started many a fire and roasted marshmellows. Now a young man, takes apart bikes and anything he can play with tools with...
Ahhh, got to let them grow up, but the meories will always remain.

Here we are, his graduation night.
