No news yet on where the chili pepper is right now... all they show on their computer tracking system is that it's "in route"... but, they don't open till 10am, so maybe we'll hear from them after that.

Well, I joined Don this morning on his walk around the kingdom... and pointed out some things that I needed his help with... he promptly took care of each of them... since he was so bored yesterday, I thought I'd give him some little things to do today... well... now what to have him do the rest of the day is going to be a challenge.

Wonder if I can transplant squash plants? The yellow squash out by the berries aren't doing so well... so I thought I'd move them to where the radishes were... now that they're almost all harvested. I'm going to try it, because they're probably going to die where they are now anyway... I think they're getting way too much water... I think we have a leak there from the sprinklers... Don is choosing to ignore that for now.

So glad you got your dryer fixed Penny... it's so hard to live without one these days...
I think no matter what, Susan Boyle is such a sensation that she will have the opportunity to take her career as far as she wants to take it. The outcome of that contest really didn't matter where she was concerned.
I'd buy her CD too.

Well... better get out there and pull some more weeds ... they're growing faster than I can keep up with them... and some areas I can't mulch because what I've got growing there... way too labor intense for me.

LOOK what was in my bathroom sink a bit ago. I called hubby at work, and told him to get home NOW! He was here in about 5 minutes! Oh my gosh, this things is about 8 inches long, and it made me scream like a little girl, but I think the whole town heard me scream! Oh I hate these things so bad!!! It is now deceased, and in a baggie, on the way back to the flight line so he can show all the guys what scared me so bad! THIS THING IS UGLY!!!!!!!

Now when it comes to being broke on account of plants.. I think I'm headed that way too. I had promised myself, no more this year.. but got more daylilies at Marietta Gardens (their fault for being too close), just bought more amaryllis (LK's fault) and am about to get more brugmansias (Kel's fault.. told me to enjoy myself)

Sorry Maid M. It was a rough night last night when we got home. Kel too monopolized the pc, then I was too tired to stay on it.
I know you'll keep us posted on your Mum's condition, we'll keep praying for her that 'spot' is just another scar tissue.

I hope you were referring to the weather last night and not problems otherwise. We learned this morning a tornado set down in Tallahassee yesterday morning taking part of a roof of an elementary school. No one hurt but scared. Looks rough out today so really glad I didn't start the drive to my Mom's. Besides I needed to see how the new medicine is working on my knee before starting to drive. Can make me dizzy--now that's a laugh if I ever had one!!!

We were discussing Armadillos one day and a kid who worked for my DH asked “What’s an Armadillo?” My son hardly missed a beat in telling him “ It’s a Possum with a shell…” I almost choked, but a great description and we were being over run with possums here at the time so he knew what a possum was!

Kel somehow missed a week. He kept saying it's been a week since we left BJ's.

Well, I am back home. I ended up buying a yucca, two pots of lavender, a shasta daisy, a plant dolly, and the hydrangea that I went for in the first place. This has to stop. We moved here in December and because we have bills to pay off, I wasn't sure I would even put out petunias. Now I find myself purchasing perennials to plant in a yard that doesn't even belong to me !

After the nursery, Mike and I stopped at the health food store to by junk food. It is almost across the street from the nursery, and if we stop there I avoid left hand turns into heavy traffic to get home. Mike has to watch his sodium intake, so he buys low sodium potato chips. I am lactose intolerant, and they have a yummy lactose free chocolate cake. And then, of course, there is the organic soda pop - lol !

BJ - Please send Don over to my place when he finishes at home. I wouldn't want him to get bored, and I have a whole list of chores to be done.

Cindy - Great pics ! Do you sew a lot ?

Yep, this gardening hobby of ours are getting more expensive. Now with the gas price shooting skywards again, I bet the big box stores will soon increase prices on even the lowliest plants.

LK, no I don't have any surf boards besides I'm MILES away from any ocean. I was hoping that the next getogether would be closer to me. Most of you live on the east side and if every reunion is going to be out that way I won't be able to attend them every year. Should think about a small cruise for one of the reunions.

Hi Penny, I haven't done as much sewing as I used too, but I'm starting to get back into it. Here is a pix of the dresses I made for my necice's( in blue dress) friend's wedding, this was back in "85". I didn't make bride's dress. But I have made 3 wedding dresses.

Jaye, I want the gray kitty :(. My Boo Kitty disappeared while I was moving out. I think he wandered off to cross the Rainbow Bridge. He had gotten in a cat fight and his eye was injured bad, plus he was real skinny.
