Oh no, we would never stop for seeds or plants! LOL
Just don't let the cops see you, it is illegal to do here! Some are "protected"!

Hi Jaye,Synda, well she is still going. She crawls to the food and water bowl,so lease i know she is eating and drinking the best way she can.I know it can be just a matter of time. Then again she could make it who knows.

Thanks Marion.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Who are you kidding... about half of the plants I have in the kingdom are STOLEN from somewhere... neighbor's yard, restaurants, road sides... come on, don't you all do that?

Maybe that's why Don threatens me every time I leave the house.

Marilyn Glen st. Mar, FL(Zone 9a)

ladies, I know this is off topic, but I laughed and wanted to tell you all about it.
youngest son comes home around 3:00 today, (very early for him, but they had final things to do before inspection tomorrow and got finished up early) .
He goes to his room a little while, checks his email etc. and I'm on my pc lurking on DG, taking a break from sewing.
He stretches out across my bed and chats a little while with me, then gets really quiet. I said, "Marcus are you going to sleep?" no was the answer. well here it is 9:40 and he's still asleep on my bed.
I nudged him on the shoulder and said, 'Marcus how would you like to get in your bed so I can have mine?',,,he says 'I can do that', and rolls over, still asleep, and he's still there. think I'll set the alarm, and sleep on the couch.
He's really been putting in the hours this week, so I know he's worn out. just going to let him sleep, but can't wait to hear his questions when he wakes up to find himself in my room instead of his. lol

Ok Ladies, here's some pics of me, but I don't see any of me as a baby (I found a big box full LOL)

I was probably 4 here

Marylin... that is so funny...
My youngest son used to come home from school and stretch across my bed to tell me all about his day... my sewing machine was in my bedroom then... Oh, what I'd give to have a few of those days back today...
BUT, I don't think he ever fell asleep during one of our conversations.

I just had to go out to the truck for something, and spotted an armadillo walking across the yard... called Don to come see (said he'd never seen one)... but he was already out there watching it... I scared it though, and it scampered off before I could go get Mike...
Sure hope that scoundrel wasn't sniffing out one of my plants... I think that's what has eaten all my beets that I planted outside the fence.

A funny for you all to watch when you get the chance! This is so funny.

Oh Cody, what would we ever have done with out those plastic laundry baskets? My kids loved them.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

That was so funny LK... too cute.

Marion... I do not remember that one... wonder what I was saying? LOL

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

We were telling to "snag" a man to take a group picture and you were actually having trouble hearing us. I think my timing was perfect!!! LOL

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

It was... too funny...
I did actually snag someone to take a group shot... then they had to know the whole story about our group... thought his wife wanted to join US for a while there.

Coushatta, LA

Yea,Marion, their were alot of fun to play in.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Well I had a couple more but my computer won't upload them to here. I put them on my thumb drive and taking them to work with me tomorrow. I'm not sure if the problem is the computer or the satellite, but I need to figure the problem out so I can fix it.

Cody you are sure cute in that laundry basket! I used to do that too!

LOL Marion!

I'll look at the youtube thing in the morning at work so I can share with them, I can't wait!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

hey, I still use the plastic laundry baskets!!! LOL
What do you all use?
Bj, I hope that armadillo does not dig up everything? How are your grapes doing?
Good night everyone. Sleep tight.

Marion - Thanks. I'll take a look on Amazon when I get done here. I didn't know about a phone number mix up. Is that why Susan Boyle lost ?

Great pictures everyone. And the dance video was so funny ! It is wonderful to end the day with a smile.

Marilyn - I hope you get to go to bed sometime tonight - lol !

Goodnight. Sleep tight.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

LK... one of the grape vines died... not sure why, because the rest of them are doing great... so, we'll be looking for another one when we go back to Corsicanna.

I gave my plastic laundry baskets to my son, and I kept my wicker one... hardly ever use it except to get the "whites" from the dryer... it just keeps all the socks from falling on the floor... usually, I just grab the clothes in my arms and hurry to the bed to fold them.
I think all children like to play in them... I did, my kids did, and every kid I knew would rather have a cardboard box, laundry basket, or cooking pan to play with than their toys.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

BJ this is getting scarier--sure we aren't related? Why use a basket when you have arms? LOL Of course I don't have all the socks to deal with now either.

Penny it has been on the internet and was in our paper. Seems an unauthorized copy was released for utube (not positive on that one) and the numbers listed were for the dance group and another singer instead of the number actually for Susan. They were told about it being incorrect but didn't change it saying well, they say the number on the television. Duh, give me a break please. Yes, I think she was cheated out of first place but that is my own personal opinionated opinion.

Coushatta, LA

Good night all,sleep well.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Good night everyone.....been busy running all day today.

Marilyn Glen st. Mar, FL(Zone 9a)

BJ that armadillo will dig up your whole yard! I had one here and he had holes everywhere before we caught him and took way off. noticed the other morning though that he may have found his way back. grrrr. and he will dig up your plants and your beets. they dig for roots. haven't figured out what they are good for yet. ugly little critter to me. related to an opossum.
went to bed in Marcus' bed, but not my bed so didn't sleep well. here it is early morning, and I have to be at a friend's house at 6 to help set up a benefit yard sale. going to go try the couch, should have taken the couch instead. One can always sleep better on the couch than a strange bed. lol
you all have a good day tomorrow and will catch up when I can

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Mornin' All.

I'll never get caught up on what's going on here, but I'll read along and hang out if it is OK. Some days I have computer time, some I don't Depends on the weather since I am a landscaper. Raining cats and dogs here today, so here I am. :))

You all seem so connected and that is a wonderful thing. I've always been a loner and not much of a joiner, but it's nice to know there are folks out there that still care about other people. That seems to be so lacking where I live now.

Anyway, DH and I are in the hunt for 2 kittens to adopt. We;ve found several at local rescues, but the adoption forms are nuts. I understand that the rescue people have to be careful about who gets the animals, but for heaven sakes, a four part form seems excessive to me. Very intrusive questions. You can only contact these people by email and they don't seem to be in a very big hurry to place their charges. Makes me wonder. Oh well, it will happen if it is supposed to.

Must take advantage of the rainy day to get some housework done. Have a lovely day ladies and I will check in later.

Juanita

Hey Juanita, welcome to the group! Glad you finally found us!
If you have any pictures of some of the landscapes you have created, we would love to see them. If you haven't noticed, we love pictures!
Don't work too hard.

Morning everyone! Coffee is on. Come and get it!

Morning sweet sistahs and nieces!
Thanks for the coffee LK.
Sorry I was MIA last night. Should we call this group or ours.. "Will Stop For Plants"? That won't be truly illegal, if you just want to make sure those plants don't become extinct! Lol!!
Cody sweetie, thought of making a little neck brace for the baby goose?
We are still disappointed over Susan Boyle's loss to the dance team. No way smart people will have chosen a dance team. But once they're declared the official winners, no way the organizers will admit mistakes. But we think Susan will go much further than the dance team.

Welcome Juanita! Most of us here chose to live as 'loners'. No time for real physical socializing, and this here is truly a boon for us. But when we do meet, it's like we've known each other forever!!
If only you live closer, I'll gladly let you adopt Merlin and Dallas our new rescues. On second thoughts, Kel might want to accompany them too!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Morning Girls !!!

Yep, Juanita, we do have a connection to one another. I don't know for sure, but I believe we have about the same scenario were we live... not such warm hearts and friendly people where we live. I know I live in a VERY boring neighborhood... most of my neighbors are only here on weekends, and almost never see anyone out in their yards... I only have one neighbor who's pretty friendly, but I only see him some weekends. Joyce should remember who I'm talking about... still drooling?

So, you gals are my social life.

I'll have a donut, thanks Crissy...

But I need more coffee with it... BBL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

If you could somehow... 'scare' or 'annihilate'... that armadillo BJ, do so.
Marilyn is right. It will dig up all your root veges and bulbs.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I think most of my veggies are inside the fenced in area... and he can't get in there...he's leaving my onions alone outside the fence, but he did pull up the beets...
He had better leave my bulbs alone...

The animal shelter down down the road has traps they loan out, I may have to get one. Don even thinks he's living under the crawl space under our house... but Cookie saw one going under the neighbor's shed... so, don't know where this varmint lives.

I did see a mama armadillo and 3 babies toddling down the street a couple months ago... maybe this is the same one... if so, there's babies around somewhere too.

Glenview, IL

Good Morning!

Well today is a big day...from Lil red chilli pepper to graduation days! And how fantastic the weather has decided to cooperate too.

Waving Hello there Juanita and welcome! How cool you work in landscaping, yes please share some pics.

Thanks for the LK and Donuts Crissy..sure enough to get my adrenalin flyin high to zoom speed as lightening!

Boohoo, only one more piece of Carmel left, lol I hid it too, savoring it for later.

I have really enjoyed all the baby/lil people pics. Cody so cute in the basket! We have a set of twins in our family, niece & nephew...
lol, when they weren't walking yet sil would put them in a laundry basket, lol they loved it. One of most favorite pics of them! Had it on my desk for years.
And I forget who was sitting on the car, but oh what a fantastic picture! You sure looked as though you had full day of fun...lol any little one all dirty certainly is a happy child!

Oh, lolol days later but wanted to say Hey Phylis, Love the picture Millie sunning in the yard you posted, still brings a smile to my face!

Cody, awe...got to say, sometimes the tiniest grow to be the strongest. Good to hear she is eating and drinking...keep on loving her.

Well, too funny, I guess my honey wants me to wash the windows...hahaha left a subtle hint on the window, a sticky note saying can you wash these? LOL, who knows how long it's been there, just noticed it yesterday. Sure, just add it to my list! Well, i pulled out the squeegie..lol about as far as I got!

So, Jake actually got his gown the other day a cap too! First time ever they are wearing caps, so he was quite the comedian showing me..I had to take pics. So he is good to go...

Got the wilds of the gardens in some sort of shape, house has stayed in organized form so I am ready and can't wait for this to be done than I caqn really play with the earth, still very far behind, one thing at time.

hahah another funny story, the other day I was suppose to pick Jake and his buddies up at three, got all involved, and didn't realize until it was 3:15! When i was to pick up Breenie, lol zoomed to get boys in 10 minutes flat then get my girl...boys just laughed and she was not to happy to stand for 15 extra minutes...lol, poor kid.

Wow, just talked with nephew, he offered his camper to us to stay in for the Wedding in July, whew what a sweetheart!

Well better get my tale in gear, lot of last minute finishings...
Have a glorious day all...looking forward to seeing lil red chili pepper!

probably missed some posts due to call and all my blabbering...so might be right back!

ROFLOL...
The Graduate!

Good morning everyone -

Welcome rvnsbrk ! I've only been here one week, and I am so glad I'm here ! Wonderful women on this forum !

Another bright sunny day here in Ohio. Temps in the 70's right now. I had a crisis first thing this morning - the drier wouldn't work ! My DH tweeked something and now it is tumbling happily.

When Mike finishes his breakfast, we are going to the garden center. Hopefully, I'll find a hydrangea that will winter here. No telling what other plants I will bring home.

Norman said he read an article that said the judges on Brittain's Got Talent, and the Prime Minister of England will help Susan Boyle with anything she would like to try. I hope she gets well and makes a cd. I certainly would purchase it.

Seedtosser - Terrific picture of the graduate ! Congrats !

Well, I'm off to the flower store... Have a great day, everybody !
