Hi Jaye...
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞144
I don't know sweetie ,I'm the last person to ask for an answer to that question.
I think my cat just caught a mouse............yuck.I heard what sounded like a babies squeaky toy.
Aww Cody.. so sorry little Mama. There'll be more healthy baby geese for you to worry over. So sorry you're hurting right now.
Synda, you and I must be related!!!
Oh,i know.It just hurts knowing i sat their and took care of it while she was growing.Synda, sorry i missed your call.
Jaye we could pass for family........
I'll try and call you tomorrow Cody.It will be ok,God's will.
Cody, take 2 Benadryl. You need a good night's sleep.
But knowing you, you'll be thinking of how you could have save it. There's truly nothing you can do. Nature can be cruel.
Thanks Jaye,i know i still have two healthy ones in the den.Right now she is still hanging on so maybe the big guy will help either get her better or make her a goose angle.
It has taken me many years to except God's will. And I still cry,but sometimes things are for us not to know.
In the animal kingdom, it's survival of the fittest.
I didn't give up on Ali (my oldest dog) when his mama rejected him when he's one week old. He's now 12.
Then other rescues follow.. that's why I was so heartbroken with Hope. Thought I could help her. Yep, it's also God's will. If Hope were to be alive, I'm certain she would have many problems growing up.. that's how I look at it now.
Synda, alex leaves in the morning to go to his dads and i have a 1:00 appt.in Shreveport so i will call you after he leaves if that's ok.
(((((((((((((((SYNDA))))))))))))))))))
Even your fond memories of him, can never erase the pain, I'm sure.
I'm hitting the sack.. good night sweet ladies.
Yea,i try to do as much as i can,but it is up to her and the big guy up stairs.
My oldest boy would of been 30 last Sept 30th,he died 4 days after my 18th birthday .Then when I was 20 the Dr said I'd never have any more, and I had Ryan,a total WOW.And never any more after that, then when I was 32 had to have a hysterectomy. No one can answer why.
Night Jaye........Hugs my look a like
Good night Jaye,sleep well.
Good night Synda.
Night Sweetheart....don't cry,it will be ok.Hugs..................
((((Cody)))) so sorry about your goose baby.......
Marion, wish your mom could come up here for her surgery....we have a great surgeon!!
My MIL had both knees replaced on Monday....she is doing great. They moved her to rehab today and said she would be there one to two weeks then home!!
They brought Doris home today. Hospice has brought in a hospital bed, wheelchair and all that. They are working on arranging round the clock care for her for the time she has left. A close friend said the Dr. gives her a month or two at most. But I think Doris' will and His plans will decide when her time is up.
Laura had a nice big ceramic pot and a second smaller one and a bucket full of water
plants....I had a couple of wine corks and an extra pump. Laura and Sage now have a nice little water feature outside their front door! First time I am over there with the camera I will get a picture. I think it turned out pretty good for something done with no money at all. There are improvements we will make when we have a few dollars, but for what we had I think she did a great job!
Finally cooling down so may go to bed early tonight.
Have a good night everyone!
Thanks Trisha.
Morning everyone. Cody, so sorry for the little goose! I know it is so hard to lose an animal, but it is all up to HIM!
Coffee is on, with some english muffins with cream cheese, and some fresh fruit!
Yesterday, I got a package in the mail from my Sister. When my Mom passed away three years ago, we found a box full of letters she had written to my Dad before they were married. These letters were wriiten to him, when she was just 15 years old. They met in Michigan at an apple orchard, as both her family and his family were migrant workers. They followed the crops and made money that way. Well, evidently, her family went west to Washington, and Dads family went south to Florida, and they kept in contact through letters.
Well, I started reading those letters yesterday, and sat here and cried. It was so touching to see how much my Mom missedmy Dad, and counted the days till she was finally 18, so she could do what she wanted, and be with him. Well, she finally turned 18, and they were both once again in Michigan, and she told her Dad that they had to get married. She did not say she was pregnant, just that they had to get married, so her Dad gave her a same day shot gun wedding, and 9 month, 9 days later my oldest Sisiter was born. She was not pregnant, but the had a honeymoon baby for sure. She just told her dad they had to get
married, because she had waited long enough to be with my Dad.
Well, these letters are something I want to keep forever, so I am asking how do I preserve them, so they won't fall apart. They are still in the 3 cent airmail envelopes too! So if any of you are into scrapbooking or something like that, please dmail me, and point me in the right direction.
Thanks
Ladies, hope you have a wonderful day!
Cindy I'm sorry you're having to go through this with him ((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))). Why do people have to be so nasty?
My next door neighbor has these lilies that are as tall as she is, and pretty soon they'll be my height (5'9") Are those Tree Lilies? They have buds on them now.
Cody I am so sorry about your baby goose, how heartbreaking to see that. Just like Synda said it's Gods will and He has a reason for everything, we just don't always know what it is or why. (((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) for you too.
Is there still an English Muffin left? I'll pass on the cream cheese though.
LK that is touching. I love finding things like that, and those are such good tears. When my grandfather passed we found genealogy papers and people we had never heard of before. My grandmother had Alzheimer and didn't know much about what was going on around her, but she still knew us very well and remembered the past very well. She told us stories that if she had been in her right mind she would have never said. It was very interesting that people's minds worked pretty much the same back in the 1920's and 30's as they do now, and I'm sure before that. She always kept my mom and me sheltered from the 'old days' saying people didn't do this or that, from what she told us people did do this or that, just didn't make it a known statement like they do now.
LK, go to the list of forums, there is a section labeled "Crafts" Check those out, I think there's a scrap booking forum and some other forums in there that might be helpful.
Morning Ladies !!!
(((( CODY )))) It's hard to understand these things... I know. But hang in there sweety, there are a lot more goose babies in your future that will need your attention.
LK... what a treasure you have there... I do hope you find a way to preserve those letters for future generations... unfortunately, I know nothing about it. I wouldn't know how to find out, but I believe there should be professionals out there to preserve those in an album for you...
Jaye... you may not have smiled much when you were young... but you've surly made up for it since... you have one of those infectious smiles... and laughs...
I'm going to have to scan a pic of me when I was a baby... you'll all laugh your socks off when you see what an ugly baby I was. My mom always told me that I was a baby only a mother could love. I'll scan some of those pics as soon as I figure out how to use the scanner, and have a little time on my hands.
Well... Don is showered and dressed... and has a premonition that today is the day that we'll get the call that the "little red hot pepper" will arrive in Dallas... he's so antsy to go see it. So, I guess I better go find the HOTtEST duds I can come up with, and be ready too when they call... ugh... guess I gotta wear make up today... DARN.
Good morning Good Moring...
Sending gentle hugs Cody ((((((Cody and baby goose))))))
...Sometimes I think, God gives us the oppertunity to love such precious little life for so long and then see fit to love and raise them himself...
Oh Joyce, How splendind and lovely your gardens are! I sure can't wait to stroll through...Your path is incredible, Just love all the garden angels! I have only one, but love her to pieces...All your planting are just beautiful, Thank you for sharing them with us.
Jaye, will take a pic of bead work when i get a chance.
Dusty, What an honor! I do hope you will explain Clan Mother...You bet I would love to see your skins with the beadwork!!
I had knee high mocs as well...but I sent them on my sister's Journey home, she loved them so at the time just felt i wanted her always to be comfy in the spirit world..
Oh Linda what an incredible gift you and your sister have found. I love the story and it must just imortalize the love they held for each other...Brings tears to my eyes just reading about the letters...I am sorry i don't have any idea how to preserve each page, However...Cedar, will preserve them. I keep my dress and kids Baptismal outfits and they look and smell the same as when i first placed them in it.
BJ...Whooohoo, will be anticipating the outcome of the little red chili peper, everything is crossed!!

You did an awsom job on creating his outfit!
Good morning ladies ^_^
A beautiful new day today, weather's beautiful out there, just hoping it won't rage into the 90's!
Thanks for breakfast, LK. Your parents' love story is so touching. Separated that long, and still had faith in each other.
In the meantime, you can get some sheet protectors until you get a pro to preserve them.
Cookie, you make me want to have angels and cherubs all over my garden! Love your hide and seek cherub.
I'm into frogs and gnomes, and do have a few frog angels.
Will the streets of Dallas be safe with BJ in her hot rod? Lol!!
Make-up? Forget the make-up, it's a pair of Daisey Dukes you need BJ!!
Judy!! You need to post a pic of your ceremonious headband!
Marilyn, hope you're finished with your vests.
Yes Judy Yes!! Pictures!!
Well I need to get off of this and get to work. I wanted to comment on your comments but I had a doughnut and now I'm buzzed LOL Joyce I love the pics, I want my new camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good morning everyone - ((((hugs))))
It is a beautiful day here too. The rain stopped last evening, and this morning it is cool and sunny. I didn't sleep well last night. Little One spent the night meowing - don't know why. Once, he was right under my bed !
I was thinking, maybe I should give him a kiss every couple hours today. Just enough to wake him up - lol !
Norman and I had our morning coffee. He works nights, so we have breakfast together before he goes to bed for the day. Laundry is started.
I am debating about digging up some grass to begin making another flowerbed. Debating because it always sounds easier than it is to do.
Loved the baby pictures. Here is one of me at 4 years old.
