Congrats Debra, she is pretty and white. Do you only have one bud?
Versi has decided to get with it finally and I have one flower open, and a bunch of buds just starting.
Wow, no post on here since my BD which was a long time ago.....where is everyone?

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Have no clue where everyone is at.. , Joyce, but this white has this name on it "Joyces" Monster White" would that be you?

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

That would be me. I imagine you got it from Bonnie or me? I got it from someone else and it is only known as Monster White....LOL

That is like the ones I got from Bonnie or Versi Peach Bonnie....LOL

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Debra, I still have a lot of seeds so will continue on scattering them and see what happens. DH just has to put the screen over the "Garden Patio" and I'm glad of that. He went too doctor today and he asked if he had any chest pains, which he does from time to time. No more working on it until after seeing a heart dr. Oh great, something new every time. He has a lot of arthritis so hoping that is where the pain is coming from. I will be able to do the touch up painting and get it ready for its first picture. I'm learning to do the before and after pictures.

Your monster white is a beauty.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Pegi, don't you love before and after pics.....they crack me up. I forget how much stuff has been done and how different it use to look. Hope DH doesn't find out anything except acid reflex.....poor things, always something going on!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I hear that.. My poor DH has to work in this 100 plus heat with no a/c inhis work place ( aircraft) comes home aching , whinng and limping from a torn somethng in his leg he won't address since they keep putting him on "furlough" ..
Yes, Joyce, came from Bonnie, tag says Joyces' Monster White.., Georgia Peach from Tropicman and Alex are Y'd...

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

My DH use to work for TWA American Airlines and the same thing, no air or anything until he went into management. Course now he has no air because he is retired and outside most of the time. Not gardening tho....LOL If it is green he thinks it should be mowed....

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

well gosh Joyce, fly us to california to see Pegi with his" fly time" .... LOL

Afternoon everyone!
Wow, it has been quiet here. Love the Monster white. I have one too, but no blooms yet on any of my brugs, I think they don't like the 107 temps we have here! Just too hot for anyhting to bloom.
Hope you all are doing well. Peg, I will keep your hubby in my prayers!
LK

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Thank you tatters and everyone for your concerns. DH has been through a lot over the years, doesn't need heart problems too. I feel 100% healthy compared to him. Found out once you start seeing a doctor he finds all kinds of problems. I'm surprised he wanted to build this "Garden Patio" for me, but then I wanted to have it done immediately. If I push him it will never get done, so I try to keep my mouth zipped up.

Thought I would get up early and get out in the yard before it started to get warm. Wouldn't you know the sun decided to come out early too and it is pretty warm already. I did manage to get a few plants watered and will go out later for some clean up work.

Gee I sure do miss AuntB. Glad she is OK just busy.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Debra, We use to travel alot, but the fun has kind of gone out of it, with all the stuff in the world going on. We ended up one time in Germany with an English-Spanish dictionary....LOL ever tried to find a Spanish speaking German...LOL We thought we were going to Spain, but the flight was full, so we jumped on the flight to Germany...you have to be adventurous....

We all miss AuntB she is a sweetie, life just gets in the way sometimes.

LindaKay, has your Monster Y'd yet? I should have lots of buds here shortly on several different brugs. I have been feeding and really babying these guys. I haven't been foliage feeding which I probably should.

Hi Pegi, you should post some pics as the patio goes along.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Most of my brugs have y's, but I think it is just too danh hot for blooms! I think someone said, once it hits like 98 degrees, they won't bloom, and if they do, the buds will fall off, before they bloom?
If even half of my 32 brugs bloom, I will be so happy, maybe later in the summer?
LK

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Linda Kay, 32 brugs OMG! If halfed bloomed you wouldn't be able to stand the smell...LOL you would be sweetied out! Bees would come from thousands of miles away. What a wonderful site that would be all those big beautiful blooms hanging down! Do you have one favorite?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No one favorite yet, I think they are all wonderfull!
I have 27 in the new angel garden, and at 8 more in pots, so I guess I added wrong! LOL Make that 35.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Glad to know someone out there has a worse additions than I do....LOL
I thought the other day I had a spare Versi Peach, and then I couldn't find it, so I thought well I must of given or traded it away, well guess what a couple of days later I found it in with some other plants....LOL so bad.

Linda Kay, can you keep yours out all winter? I wish so much I could do that. I would have so many more.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Hi guys, I have Y's all over the place, I only have about hmmm 13 or 15.. my babys from seeds are doing great.. they are everywhere LOL it feels ike 97 outside rightnow... phew! here is chrissy..

I did leave mine out last year. We got a few days of cold, with some frost, but not a hard freeze. I had the tops of a few get burned, but once I cut them off, they did fine, plus it gave me new plants!
They are addicting like my tattoo's! I started out with one little rose tattoo, and now I have 13 of them!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I finally took some pictures of some of the seeds from Debra that sprouted in my garden sink.

Morning glory on the end is really traveling upward, need to put a line for it to continue on. The green spiral rod I got at the 99 cent store, but can't find them any more, looks like I'm not the only one interested in them. I have 4 that are 6 ft. tall and 4 that are about 5 ft tall. I'm thinking I'll use them for sweet peas I want to plant in Sept.

The candy tuft came up right away and I sure like it.

So pretty! Did you get any of the chinese bean hiyacynth?

Thumbnail by joeswife
(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

No, I didn't get any of the chinese ben hiyacynth, it is beautiful. I'm thinking my sink just isn't deep enough, but screening is going up now over raised bed and I'm going to have more room to plant. Here is a picture of 3 tomato plants I have growing, doing well.

Thumbnail by Samigal
(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Here is what I'm calling my "Garden Patio" with the screening put on. It has to be stretched out a little, hoping that will be tomorrow. Then I can do my clean up and I have some moon vine I'll like to put by the posts.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I'm going to put up some hanging plants too so hoping when it is all finished I'll be glad DH offtered to put it up for me. Going to put swing at one end so I can sit and enjoy.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Love that kitchen sink, I found one sitting outside a dumpster, big old cast iron with drain board and it is really nice for me for my garden room, but yours is so cool, never saw one like that.

I can check the dollar store here and see if they have any of those spirals, if you want me to?

Went on the water garden tour yesterday, went to about 18 different hourses. Beautiful landscapes, and ponds. Since most ponds are in the sun, some of them got a little warm....LOL but no rain which is what I was afraid of.

Guys, I am so excited, a friend of mine her boyfriend works for a flower place and she told me she no longer has enough room to take in the plant they are going to toss out, so she called me yesterday and she filled up her van with plants that I can have! I have no idea what they are, but she said most of them were in great shape and she couldn't even figure out why they were tossing them! Also said there was an 8 foot ficus tree that wouldn't fit in her van. If I wanted it to let her know and she would have them hold it for me and I could bring a truck on Monday! Can't wait until this afternoon. I will have to take pics....hope they are cool stuff.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!
JB, where are you at? Must be busy in the gardens?
Oh my goodness. How lucky you are to get all those plants. Hope you have room for them!
Make sure you take pictures, and show us what you got please?

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Hi Linda Kay, I am in Central New Jersey on a Christmas Tree Farm. LOL. I just putter around and am cutting down to just a few specific Tropicals that I find are good sellers on eBay. I enjoy the propagation, watching them grow/die and enjoying the final product that I can trade or sell. It keeps me busy since I am really too old to do what I used to do.( I am a horse person. Still love the smell and miss it terribly.)
My plants are mostly tropicals and tender perennials. I am not sure if I showed you this latest hibiscus I just got. I am on several forums and I do not want to boar people with pics they have already seen. Her name is 'Untamed Heart'. She is a real bloomer and this is her first year. I only repotted her to a 6" pot a few weeks ago.

JB, she is a cutie hibiscus. Blooms look really large.

Linda Kay, I figured if I don't have room for the plants and they are nice I can swap/trade or give away. Hate to see them thrown out.

Storms here today, those of you who need water wish I could send some to you. Roses and tomatoes in raised beds doing ok, those not are doing horrible! Course the wind is awful. If the sun comes out this afternoon Katie Bar The Door, I will think I am living in the deep south.....humid humid.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

JB, you have not shown them here. Thanks for sharing. They are a beautiful color!
Wish we could get some of the rain!!!

Happ, that isn't a kitchen sink, has 3 faucets, guess it might have been in a school or a place where a lot of people worked. My sister-in-law had it in her yard for many years and was about to get rid of it. I'm glad she asked me if I wanted it. So heavy, almost impossible to ever move it. Oh my gosh, plants galore! Lucky you, I would be in 7th heaven. Yes, please show us some pictures.

JB that is a beautiful plant. Anyone can send this way too. We got a list of things we can't do because of water shortage. But, we always do have a water shortage problem here.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

The sink we took from the dumpster is heavy! We could barely get it in the car, it will be perfect once I get my potting bench made and it attached. Can't image if yours has 3 facuet holes what it weighs.

Going to get the plants now ....... I am so excited .... hope some hardy plants.....

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

When we got it from my SIL DH had to take his hydralic stand along so they could raise it up to put it in the truck. I'll bet it weighs 300 lbs. or more. I like the sound of yours with a drain board. Going to be a perfect addition to your potting bench.

Thanks for offering to look at the dollar store, but I don't think you will find any there. I doubt if the 99 cent only store here will ever get any more, but would be nice if they would. I'm getting a little greedy with the spiral rods, I'll be satisfied with what I have. I saw these same metal rods at Lowe's for $4.95 so I was happy with my find.

Looking forward for pictures of all the plants you are getting.

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Morning Ladies, Hope you are all well and ready for a wonderful week. Here is a little something for you to smell and enjoy. It is a gardenia jasminoide 'fortuniana', Wonderful houseplant. Loves to bloom and smell up the rooms. Easy to grow. Enjoy! JB

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning JB, thanks for the beautiful blooms. Sure wish we had smell-a-screen? LOL

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

JB, isn't it great to have that in the house, I have a very small one, but it doesn't do much. Think it has bloomed twice. It is a hard plant for me....LOL, course there are several "easy" ones I can't seem to do.

Let's go from great smelling to , guess what I have a voodoo plant and didn't know. It Is suppose to smell really bad. I got it in a swap and lost the tag and just started growing this bulb and had no idea what it was. It was really fun, watching it and not having a clue what it was going to end up being..... I posted on the topical discussion board "What Is It". It is really quite pretty right now. The tree part is kind of skin like which is kind of freaky and cool at the same time.

I have a plant like JB's, but have it in a large planter on the back porch and it isn't doing very well. Had a few blooms on it and the smell is divine. My son used to bring home some nice plants for me, but that seemed to stop. Could it be that I'm not a good mama to them??

That voodoo plant does look strange, almost like snake skin. The one buddah belly plant (one seed only germinated you sent) is slowly growing. Has 3 nice size leaves on it and I think I have to put it in a bigger pot or in the ground.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Joyce, I got one of those also from somewhere have no clue, but I know from DG.. I was really freaked out I had it.. I just found ANOTHER one last nite in one of my patio containers.. good lord.. I bet these were in some dirt or something from a trade, I do believe if there is dirt (soil) on something you are at risk for anything.. anyone that got things from me in dirt prolly got mgs, marigold, violets, blueeyed grass, and maybe a worm. LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Debra, can you please tell me what this plant is. It is climbing up my chainlink fence! It is one of the seeds I got from you. I have 2 other plants just like this, just not as big. This one just took off! It has white flowers on it every once in awhile.

Thumbnail by taters55
(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

uhm.... white blooms? Cucumbers.. yummy! look pretty too.. I can't believe you got those LOL may have some gourds too.. have fun..
