That's a very unusual tree, Jo Ann---would look nice in a Japanese Tea Garden. So would your tree peony, Dyane----and I'm drooling over the iris. The Chinese tree peonies in our town's gazebo garden opened up a few days ago---they are sort of plum colored-----all were donated by the folks who run Cricket Hill Nurseries in town---that's their speciality. Our larger park, the post office, library----all were given these exquisite peonies.

wow is right Ge... how cool is that????
got the greenhouse too late though... but since my tomatoes look crummy... I am still voting on a road trip up to Sherrie's
:)
Cool shot, Dayne!
Wow - gorgeous shots, Dyane! Especially under the maple. No, that's not a gingko. Maybe an aspen?
Thanks all!
Great pictures Dyane! I love the shape of all those plants! I think that the tree for which you thought might be a ginkgo..... may be a Cercidiphyllum japonicum (possibly a weeping form, can't tell from the pic) http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/240914/
I love that Puddytat iris too! i've seen it in catalogs and often considered getting it!
Jo Ann.... that tree that is 75 is amazing!
Schicken.... you're going to have some beautiful poppies!
Robin.... Thanks for the butterfly info. i didn't know that!! very cool.
Pixie... Thanks for all the pics on the bunnies! they're so cute! The one that prays would be a perfect match to my praying cat!! however, no way in h... do I want rabbits reaking havoc in my yard. The moles, gophers, deer, raccoons, etc. are more than I can handle. lol
dayne i agree great shots - makes me want to crawl under a maple
Thanks Dyane, but really I just know my favorites. So, you have good taste! That tree is one of my favorites. Especially the pendulous form, it's so graceful and the fall colors are great too! I love that last maple you just posted. Ohhhh to have trees that age!
okie dokie you guys after a BIG catch up in no particular order:

OUTSTANDING my friends. Thanks for sharing!!!!
scicciarella, thanks for the photo.
You are funny, Dahlianut. I too have a Great Book of Lists.
lol list that never end I find it to depressing lol I keep track of appointment in my yahoo.mail that it no list that go nowhere hahahahhaha
Gorgeous pics, as usual, everyone!
Victor, speaking of magic shoehorns, I use one of those myself. I was at my friend Karen's house the other day and was commenting on how much space she had between plants in some areas of her gardens. I told her she should fill it in with more plants. LOL!
Abbyday, I especially liked some of your pics. You got good shots and I like the combos you did.
Meredith, I think that yellow-green weed is a type of spurge (aka Lady's Mantle; Euphorbia). I have it, too, and it does spread around. Break a piece off. If it has milky sap, then that's what it is.
Allison, I think I just bought that apricot colored azalea you posted a picture of. I don't remember the name. The one I bought is very fragrant. I just love it! I got a good sized one for just $20 at a local nursery.
OMG!!!! Celeste, that Forever Blue dwarf iris is gorgeous! I gotta get me one of those! And I love the 'Big Bird' magnolia, too! The pics of the apple blossoms and the oriole are great. I just love apple blossoms.
Mona, I love your hummer shots!
Shelly, the pic of the blue butterfly is wonderful, and the close-up of the white iris is fantastic! You should enter those in the contest.
Dyane, I love your iris 'Dude' and also 'Puddy Tat'. Very nice! I love your shots taken at the Japanese gardens.
Here are a few pics from my place.

My pond, which I'm still cleaning out.
wow very pretty pond and landscaping
Thanks, Mona! It's really more than I can handle by myself, and I have to admit that many areas don't look so well kept. The pond needs to be drained and thoroughly cleaned. I think I will remove the rocks from inside the pond this year, as it's so much harder to maintain with them in there. I don't have a pond vacuum and can't afford one. Would like to make the pond bigger for fish, but don't have the time or money right now. That will be a project for another time. Right now it's a mosquito breeding ground until I get it cleaned and get the fountain going.
Karen
Here is a closer shot of that plant.....
lovely pond. Drop in one of the mosquito plugs, or really anti-mosquito & you won't feel so rushed.
Thanks Karen! Lovely pictures too. I really like the pond shot. I have no idea about your unknowns, but I'd really like to see the blooms on that first one when they open. That hosta is really pretty too!
Thanks for the tip, Iris, although I do want to get it done this weekend. I want to see my fountain going.
Karen
I will post pics of that when it blooms, Shelly. I have always wondered what it is.
Karen
Dnut did you mean the huechera?... if yes it might be snow angel ... but not sure
NFD that azalea is golden lights... not too many blooms this year... that Lamium is really nice... that last one is a pretty NOID
This one dear onewish. Maybe I missed the naming. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=6564926
