The regular S.S. is Polygonatum biflorum, which is what I have and is flowering now.

WNYwillieB, I agree that it is false SS.

Pixie, great shots....love seeing your bird....total envy. SDBI 'Forever Blue' is totally lovely. DH saw a hummingbird today at a nursery in Newfane. I didn't, dang it, I was too busy shopping !

Meredith, I think that pink, cream and rose shrub is Weigela florida 'Versicolor', but I can't be sure as I bought it as an noid plant at a shrub auction in Deerfield, Ma. a few years ago along with about 15 other different shrubs. All the shrubs were left overs from a wholesale nursery that were being auctioned off super cheap. They have all thrived, but go unnamed. The other one was also from that same lot and is an azalea, but no name. Maybe it is Azalea 'Mandarin Lights'. Here it was last year on May 25th. Too cold up here now to open. It is going down to 28 tonight. We just brought in all the plants we have been buying up here. The kitchen looks like a nursery.

Wha is that a wisteria tree? Shirazz is so lovely. Tempted, but not this year. I saw a nice red bud Cercis 'Forest Pansy' today, but at 170.00, I will pass.

onewish1, New GH, Hot Diggity Dogs! Too cute and what a nice GH. Patti

This is V. Mariesii, I think. Possibly Shasta. Anyway, I propagated it last year using the rooter pot method. Look how many buds!

Our viburnums just starting to bloom, arrowwood type. They were here when the house was built in overgrown pasture so are good size.

Nice Victor, i really like seeing Cornus Satomi since I planted mine last week.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

You will love it. Booms profusely and lasts a long time. Great fall color to boot.

Debbie (Silver Star) guessed that my clem was Charrissima, but I don't think so.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

The columbines are making me wish mine would bloom soon. I have both white and red bleeding hearts. My Jack-in-the-Pulpits are spreading!

That's what I thought Jen..... where do I start? so I left. lol

pretty babies scicci!
Patti.... I love your yard!

Allison..... I love your greenhouse. I've always thought that if I could spend what I wanted too, that that design and style is what I would go for.
Bill, all of your work is looking great!

Pixie.... great pictures. That bunny is so cute though. I feel stupid for having to ask this, but I know very little about rabbits and the wild ones here are not any color like that, but is it a pet or a wild one?

Victor, Josephine is one of my favorite clems. That's a great picture of Satomi too.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

that's an awesome picture Mona!!!

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Why thank you redchic :)
Everyone's pictures are amazing! Hoping the tulips make it. I lost mine in a day when we had that heat wave. So sad when our hard work is paying off, but sometimes is so short lived!
I am so happy for you Mona! My humingbirds arrived on mother's day. Same as last year, it is a wonderful mother's day gift!

Victor yes it has a vent in the roof and I bought that automatic opener for it... plus the door is dutch and I can open just the top to keep the critters out

believe it or not it wasn't that expensive... there was a special they ran until the 15th of this month.. brought the price down to $699... because I left feedback from a prior order they gave me 10% off my next purchase... I even asked in advance if I could use it for this... they said yes.. and applied it to the whole order... and I got free shipping

http://www.gardenharvestsupply.com/product/snap-grow-silver-6-x-8-greenhouse-kit

and I am not kidding when I tell you besides the base (which Randy had to fight to level... rocks and slopes)... it took us 3 1/2 hours to assemble it.. we started yesterday inside.. too windy & rainy to mess around out there... did what we could inside ... then just dragged everything out and put it together... the tags on the pieces were great.. illustrations were too... I had horror stories in my head how this won't fit and that will be tweaked... BUT we only had one setback that Randy can easily fix himself... one of the trim pieces was too large.. and he said he could just trim it.. more or less it completes the rain gutter so we need to get that on... I am also thinking we can attach a small hose to the outlets for the rain and direct them right in our underground drains right next to the thing

can you tell I am excited??? LOL

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

love all the hummer shots!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

RC these bunnies were born of rabbits who were raised outside loose. The mother of the older bunnies came from a few houses down. She had 6 but only 2 survived. Their mother was killed this past winter by a car. They found their way to my front door and I believe they are the brother and sister of Sophie our indoor rabbit. (another long story)
So I helped them a little by leaving lettuce , grain, and carrotts outside and they made it through the winter. They rewarded me by digging up my 9ft Holly bush and producing
8 adorable babies this spring for me to enjoy.
Not a great pic but I think you'll be able to count 8. You can always check out the threads.....

ahhhhhh how cute they are Pixie! And what patience you have to deal with them digging and eating in you garden! But, they are so cute. I don't think that I would be able to turn two hungry ones away during the winter either, well I know that I wouldn't be able to.

I couldn't believe that this blue butterfly sat still long enough for me to get a picture of it.
