Little Lanterns

Some lily flowered tulips that decided they would still bloom for me in their third year. :)

THis one's from May 8th but I wanted to share it anyway. It's a strangley growing Oak.

I got all excited thinking this guy was a chrysalis.

I never planted this forget me not.. That is what I think it is anyway.

Here are the tiny flowers.. seems like an awful lot of foliage for these little flowers to me. I admire it but not sure if I want it taking up room in my bed.

Meredith79, Thanks, that is it. Phlox divaricta Lamphamii. I told her that I thought it was a wild phlox. I hope my recently planted Thermopsis Sophia looks like yours from last year! I have never seen a pink trillium. Cool. Patti

I think I need to work some compost in around Sophia she does not look happy!
The Trillium was white when I boughtit... weird huh?

I think they might turn pink as they go past peak.

'whirly-gigs' are what we called the maple thingys and yes, on sticking them to my nose.

Should I rip it out while I still have a fighting chance? It's just such a sunny yellow that blooms when there is barely anything else blooming. PLus it will grow in the most horrible conditions. I think I might just deahead it and see if it still spreads like wildfire or not.

Just took a few snaps of blooms in the yard in Vt and made a couple of collages. I have lots of weedy things that I like, but shouldn't! Patti
