A dress Tink? Humm, hadn't thought about that as I wear one so seldom. I actually was joking about packing but I do have a friend who would have been started by now with her packing. Learned long time ago, if I pack early I take to much!!
Jaye, know what you mean about the horseflies!!! We have some that leave little triangular marks and itch something horrible. We are suppose to get rain today but then who knows. Looked like rain all day yesterday not nary a drop fell. Have the sprinklers going now so need to check them soon.

Morning everyone !!!
Well... hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day... mine was a bust.
I was invited over to son #1's house for dinner... and as usual, got my feelings hurt... AGAIN. I picked up my purse, and announced that I was leaving... told Mike to put his stuff in the car, and we were walking down the driveway when my son stopped me. He talked me into staying for dinner. I did not go back inside the house, though...
Allow me to rant, just a moment... sorry.
I was told that dinner would be between 4:00-5:00... they're never on time, and I've never known them to eat that early... so I arrived around 5:15. Steve was still working on his fence he's been building for a year. Gwen was next door at her mom's, taking care of her since Wed after having eye surgery. The meat was in the smoker.
I first had to walk around and see what all they've been doing at the ranch. Then I asked what I can do to help get dinner ready. I went inside the house to help prepare the side dishes. Kristi was washing up some dishes, and Amanda was laid up in the living room watching some awful movie with some really awful language.
I tried to keep it light, so I said... "ok, if you're not a mom, come help fix dinner for those who are"... Amanda never moved. Kristi proceeded to tell me what was out to fix for the sides dishes. So, I called for Amanda to come in the kitchen to help. She came back with a smart elic answer.
I told her that she's not going to leave all the chores to Kristi, and that she should come in the kitchen to help. She yelled "you don't know what the &%!! you're talking about"...
I picked up my purse, and walked out... Told my son that she'd talked to me like that for the last time, and we'd just get dinner on the way home.
Gwen saw me leaving, and came to find out what happened. She went inside to talk to Amanda... and believed everything she said. NOTHING was done about it. Kristi came out and explained that Amanda bribed her with something to get her to do her chores for her... and I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. Amanda never said another word to me... not even an apology.
Something like that happens every time I go around them... if not Amanda... one of the other family members. I stay away as much as I possibly can.
Anyway... it's over now... and time to get on with my life.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Thanks for clearing it up Stacey.. thought you're gonna get all formal for a poke-r session at BJ's!!!
We were rooting for Jesse too, but somehow as the competitions went on, it was obvious he's not really into the game. More like he regretted signing up, and can't find a way out. He's also very reluctant to call on his friends to donate money... and I don't blame him! His wife's a philantropist in her own way.
Sounds like that little girl needs a swift kick in the behind!! Sorry you had a bad time and that Mike had to see that too......
I LOVE your house, Donna. So many possibilities !!!
I forget who he's married to.....is it Sandra Bullock??
That little girl is almost 20 years old... spoiled rotten... treats everyone that way... she's quit school, not working, and is one of the sourest, hatefullest people I know.
Oh, forgot to mention... that 4:00 - 5:00 dinner turned out to be more like 8:00 dinner time. We were so starved...
It will come back on her, have no doubt about that......I firmly believe in poetic justice and that when you put bad things out there, they come back at you several times over.....
Love you Auntie Biggles & Jiggles^_^
BJ, so sorry your Mother's Day's ruined by an inconsiderate foul mouthed ... of all people... your own grandaughter!
That's the result of poor parenting and you did right by NOT accepting that kind of talk. She's lucky she didn't get a backhand from you.
Well, I'm off to town for an appointment with Auntie Clairol. Got to replace my driver's license before we get on the plane.
Morning Everyone,
I thought I told you ladies not to chit chat too much while I was gone, lol. Had a great time in Carson City. Took some pictures but will have to wait until I can get on my PC which is in Marysville.
I ended up having to bowl, because one of the other team members cut her hand. My first game was ok but the other two were duds. After bowling we all got together for dinner then hit the slot machines. Well I didn't do to well at all Saturday night. Sunday morning while we were waiting for table for break fast I sat down at machine that was called Grand Monarch. Most of the machine are penny machines any I had made $12 while waiting for breakfast. Later on while Mom and them were bowling I had to run back to our room to get something. On the way back to the bowling alley, I decide to sit down at this machine that my mom did good on Friday night. I put in a $5 bill and walked away with $60. Went back to show Mom what I had done, she said "You little stinker". So I let a few minutes go and I went back to the same machine. This time I put in a $20, played a few rounds then got a bonus hit. I cashed out for $105. So as it ended up I came home even ^_^. We had so much fun, and can't wait until next year. My best friend had a really good time Saturday night, she hit a Keno machine for $2400. I have pictures will post later.
I just wanted to check let ya all I home here at Mom's and will be MIA off and on over the next couple of weeks while I'm packing.
Mom and I did a lot of talking. I told her I was home for good and I wished that I had never left 3 years ago. So we are making plans for gardening, building our fish ponds,camping/fishing, remodleing the house. Hopefully next year we can trade in her old motor home and get a smaller one and do some traveling. There is alot of things I need to do here to get settled in. Like setting up a craft room. The bedroom I sleep in now is pretty big so I'm swicthing bedrooms, then will do some painting and things in the other bedroom.
Well, I need to get a move on here. Need to go find a bunch of boxes and head to Marysville to start major packing. My SIL is coming down this weekend with his truck to haul all of my gardening stuff. I will be loading up all my plants and fish and bring them back up here to mom's.
So I'll check in again later today. ^_^
Tell Auntie Clairol I could use a visit too and send her my way Tante!!
Glad I caught your posting Cindy. You sound so 'light' and cheery. Makes a great difference when you know for certain what needs to be done, and you did it!!! I am sure your Mum's happy that you decided to return. So, you're lucky with the money now!!
Pop in whenever you can.
Yes Stacey, it's Sandra. I love that tomboy!
BJ, Kel's parents for the years I've been here always insist that we spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with his aunt's family. Their dinners are always late.. supposed to be at 12 and end up at 5. We learnt to eat first before leaving, until the year before, it was ridiculously later than that. I told his Mama that there's no way I'm gonna continue with that 'tradition' especially when I'm diabetic. And that shows also how much they respect their guests.
Okay.. I'm gone.. this time :D
OH Jaye,
You just don't know the HUGE relief I feel. I just wished I didn't have so much stuff to move. I really dread going back there. I did not tell him Friday that I was moving out. I didn't want to get in a huge fight have him ruin my weekend. My friend suggested that I stop by the sheriff's and let them know what is going on in case he gets violent. I don't think he will but you just never know these days.
OK now I'm outta here TTYL ^_^
well Cindy, I'm glad for you. Yes, it does help when you have a plan and you can see the 'light at the end of the tunnel' and know for once it is not a train.
Have a great day, and wish I was there, I could help you pack,,,I know what a job it is.
Hello all.......
Cindy so very happy you are happy,I been worried and thinking a lot about you.Wish I was there to help you.
BJ so sorry you had such a trrible Momma Day......you do not deserve that.....
Wonderful house Donna!
Jaye I need to go visit Miss Clairol,I getting that skunk look, white strip down the middle of my head.........
Cody ,sweetie are you OK? You went to bed so early and where are you now?Don't make me hunt you down..........LOL.
BJ, so sorry to hear of your troubles with your sons family! I would have smacked her behind, I don't care how old she is! I also know it will be a long time, before I ever think of going back to a place like that. I think you handled it very well!
CIndy, glad to hear your out of that situation also! I know you will feel much better. But I am confused, have you told him yet you are moved out? Please be careful, going back for more of your stuff. Maybe plan the trip, for when you know he will not be there? Has he even called to see where you are?
I am off for a hot shower, to clear this stuffy head. Maybe that will work.
Later
LK
Good for you Cindy. Go get your stuff and say ADIOS AMIGO to that life, a better one is waiting for you.
BJ, I'm not one for getting into it with family members either, I'll walk out or sit there and be miserable, but I think I would have backhanded her and then washed her mouth out with lye soap, slapped her mamma, laughed and then walked out. It might not have done any good with her, but I would have felt better.
Oh, believe me girls... I let them know just how I felt about it. Still, nothing happened... and nothing will. That's one reason I stay away as much as I can... they only live about 30 minutes away, and I probably go over there 2ce a year... just because of that one granddaughter. I love her dearly... but I HATE how she acts toward me (and everyone, from what I understand).
Well, Don's home... poor baby... came home to a busted weather station... busted television... and a busted riding mower... he has but this one day off before starting another 7 day stretch... and is trying to get something done before the rain gets here... he drove through it all the way home from the airport. I feel his frustration.
OK, Mama Jaye and Synda,i'm here.I won't be on long though.I'm going back to the Dr.my throat is not getting know better. So i will see was going on.
Cody, sorry to hear your still not feeling well! Hope you get some meds that work better this time?
LK
Thanks LK,i don't know what is causing it to still hurt.I hope to find out today.I hope you feel better soon too.Glad you enjoyed your trip.
LK and Cindy, glad you are both home safe.
Take care Cindy....tomorrow is a new day!
Donna.....just like Laura...looks like you have a clean slate to work with!! Going to be beautiful when you get your plants in...
BJ....sorry your day did not go so well.....have been through a few of those days.........
Jaye and everyone I have missed have a great day.
Our rain is coming in, mom and I have to get her grocery shopping done, my sis comes in from New York at 8 tonight........so we have a long day ahead of us!
Me too Marilyn, if I could, I'll be right there helping Cindy pack.
BJ, Kel says you won't hear one word from him at your bash. It's "Yes M'am"...:"Thank you M'am" and "Pass the meat"!!!
Darn Synda, don't get lost in the woods. Isn't it mating season for the skunks?
Cody, hope the doctor gives you a stronger antibiotic. Seems like the viruses nowadays are tougher to get rid of. I can smell that rose from here.
Trisha, I'm sure you and your Mum will be talking all night long just to catch up with life! Have fun.. celebrate each other. I miss my sisters very much, but soon I'll have that camaraderie at BJ's.
Back for a few minutes to see what was happening, then it's back outside for more clean up and repotting. When is the big bash at LK's, hope ya'll have fun. Yell at us when you're all together.
Bash is at Bj's, next week-end!
LK
next weekend?????? thought it was the weekend of the 22nd?
Phyllis, dear sistah, it is not this coming weekend, but next weekend, the 22nd of course.
LOL that is okay Phyllis, I thought the same thing as you did, then looked at the calendar!
well that is what I thought but then I saw LK's thing and thought dang am I losing it LOL
Hey, Phyliss and BJ, I have been looking at the maps and wondered how the road is Texarkana to Marshall, Rout 59. It isn't interstate so I wondered what kind of road it is. Hwy 20 looks good but then hwo do we get from Rt. 20 to Kemp?
I am concerned because we will probably be driving it in the dark.
We'll drive through St. Louis and stop and spend the night with my 101 yr. old Father and have breakfast with him. Then it will be about an 11 hr drive from there. That is a long day and we will have to make some stops for food and potty. Don't expect us until late. So you can see why I am wondering what kind of roads to look for.
I bought clothes today!! Went to the dentist and they said it wouldn't cost me a dime (have a new dental policy at work) so I said, Wow, I'll go shopping! Haven't had any new clothes in I can't remember when. Just some capris and a T-shirt but comfortable to drive in.
Great Mother's Day...cards from all, azaleas from my DD and today, flower basket with roses from DS. A friend and I went out for brunch and then saw "Star Trek" (I'm a fan!) and it was a wonderful easy-going day.
