Some of them enjoyed the water... was a bit cold for some, so only a few actually got wet.

This baby belongs to one of the girls that came... she's in college now, but her boyfriend is a senior and one of Mikes friends... she had him while in high school... and she's such a good mom...
I got to hold him a while so she could enjoy a little beach fun.
Tyler has cerebrial palsy, but I can tell he's bright, and responds to everything you say to him... he's really a beautiful baby.

Ok, that's all... there's more, but you get the jest of the day we've had here...

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

BJ it looks like you all had a great time !!!! Tyler is a Beautiful Baby........it is such a shame he will have difficulties.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Sounds like everyone has had an extremely busy day today. Me, I am whipped!! left at 8:30 for the "command performance" and didn't get home until 4--by am I tired!!! The GDs were great (now what did you expect a grandmother to say?) but I think the highlight was 6 special needs girls who were taking dance classes. They performed with their teachers and ladies, I am here to tell you it brought tears to my eyes. Not only were the good--I must confess better than some of the groups--looked so pretty in their costumes but the smiles on their faces was the best!!! All I can say, is God Bless those teachers, their work showed and everyone one in attendance could not have clapped or "yelled" louder! So I would have to say, I love my 2 children dearly but that was about the best most touching thing I have seen and I consider it my Mother's Day Gift watching them dance and the thrill showing on their faces.

Bj, what a nice looking goup of friends--love the ten gallon hat Mike got for his birthday. He will certainly stand out wearing that in Austria. The baby is adorable and you look so grandmotherly!!

Time is ticking down for the big weekend. I haven't talked with Deborah as of yet but hoping we will be able to get in Friday afternoon but that remains to be seen. All depends on traffic and weather conditions. Got my pillow --wait can't pack him yet! Errr, thought about packing my pillow then and things I want to bring.

Well I do hope everyone has a fantastic Mother's Day.

Happy Birthday Tia, Tina, Whatever!!! Many, many more!!!!

BJ that looks like a great bunch of young people. looks like everyone had a good time,,,I saw all smiles. It's great that they can get together like that and have a good, clean time.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Love the pics!! Looks like everyone had a great time!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, they are all great kids. I tried to engage each of them in conversation... and most of them seemed to be comfortable with that.

Except one... the tallest black guy... no matter what I said, or asked him... he just wouldn't look at me, or talk to me... He also wouldn't eat anything... hot dogs, cake or anything... and he wouldn't go down to the beach with us... kind of bothered me a bit. Then, one of the girls said he's the same way at school... she said he's a good kid, but just won't interact with the teachers either. He's fine with other kids, but not adults... makes me think there's more to his story than he lets be known.

Then, there's the two shortest girls in that group pic... I think they're sweet on each other... but I can't prove anything... they're still sweet young ladies.

awww-a little love connection;)

I am just popping in to say good night to you all as the storm has settled for a while.... BJ, I love your pictures... The baby is beautiful. Allot of people think just because they are young they won't be good parents but I say we all made mistakes with ours or I should say I did....
This is a picture of the five baby mice.... I won't post anymore of them as I know all do not like them and some get grossed out...LOL She is such a great Mom to them....
If I can't get on tomorrow HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL ^_^
Hugs,
Susan

Looks like the party was a great success! And Mike looks quite handsome in his new hat...a good picture to send his mom for Mother's Day!

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Just stopping in to say Hi and Happy Birthday Tia-Tina, I hope it's a good one.

Bj those kids looked like that were having the time of their lives. I hope the hat was a Risatol.

I'm so tired I can hardly keep may eyes open. Working and yard clean up has taken it's toll today.

Everyone have a Happy Mothers Day, tomorrow is a double for me so I wanted to say it to ya'll tonight.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I will send his mom several pictures... she's missing so much, and I know she wants to see all she can... a good mothers day present, for sure.

BTW... his friends are plotting a kidnapping to prevent him from leaving... gonna have to keep my eyes open.

WOW... Tyler and Orion could be brothers... too cool.

Yep, Susan... I've known several very young girls that were very good mothers right off the bat. When my kids were young, I hired a temporary baby sitter who was 18, and already had 2 kids... that temporary situation turned into 2 years... she was fantastic with her own kids, and mine.

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Good evening everyone..

Im so sorry I havent been able to keep up but the internet here is borrowed and very very SLOW... It takes forever to even log on let alone get the entire thread to load up.. I have been missing all the picures and cant wait for Monday to come along so I can head to the library to see what I have been missing..

Happy Birthday Tina-Tia

BJ looks like you had a great party for Mike.. And wow you have a great deal of people comming t visit,, I only wish we were among them all..

Jaye I think you asked in the other thread about Maxs work.. The other job he supposedly had said that their work hadnt picked up and they couldnt use him yet. He did locate work part time and will call tomorrow about other work as well doing the same work.. A family member of mine that he worked for before we were togther offered him part time 2-3 days a week work sweeping parking lots at night and worked him thursday night. Its only a few hours but $10 per hour cash is nice. He says he is firing one of his drivers then when that happens he will take him full time and give him that truck to drive. He also put him in touch with the only other company in town who does it and he is talking with them tomorrow about picking up spare shifts until one of them can use him ful time.. As for me my liscense transfer is stll in the owrks and I have been watching activity at the shop ( or lack of) and will stop in on Monday or Tuesday to see what the owner is wanting to do once my papers are final. Sports clips contacted me too about a managers position if the barbershop doesnt work out and its $11 hourly plus tips and commision..

Happy Mothers Day to everyone!

Been a busy weekend..
WE GOT THE TWINS FOR TEH WEEKEND! WHOO HOOO
They are as thrilled as we are and their mother was on her best behavoir when she dropped them off.. Of course she knows we wont put up with any bulls**t..... Max has been giddy and Tony and Tristen are having a blast with them.. They really are young women and are redy to be with us as soon as we are able.. Im tuckered out and getting tounge tied.. lol Nothing like yelling for dinner in the yard.. Tony, Tristen, Trina, and Teara
So far so good and I can tell them apart with ease compared to when they were younger now the looks have changed and personalities are completely different from eachother.. One is shy sweet and the other is a very outgoing tomboy..

We spent the day today walking to two parks and rabling around the woods in teh area.. They say they are not aloud outside even if their chores are done at home which made me crazy of course. I did teach a bit of gardening this evening by moving a few plnts around and dropping some bulbs in the ground for next spring.. We even found a large patch of daylilies in the woods I will be headed back out after.. lol They thoought I was crazy identifying plants and picking a few wildflowers ( roots and all) until they got to play in the dirt with me.. Now they wantt o know more.. lol
Tomorrow we are all walking a few blocks to a cook out at families house since we dont all fit legally in the truck nd they will be going home later in the day.. It ay take me a few days to get recouped... lol

Heres a quick pic of Max and the girls... Will load pics up of the house on Monday with a link for a album on photobucket.. Promise. .

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Belated Birthday Tia, sorry I missed it.

BJ, Looks like Mike had a great party! Awesome!

I've been out of pocket quite a bit too, found out Friday morning that me and Dave lost one of our very close friends. He was 33 years old, his wife Christy is my good friend, she's 29 and they have a 4 year old son. Apparently Wednesday he went to work (he was a kindergarten teacher) and after a few hours his back started hurting. It got so bad he laid down on the couch in the teachers lounge. It got worse from there so he went home. That night it got so bad Christy took him to ER, they admitted him and told him he had an infection in his Sciatic Nerve. He died Thursday morning. What are the chances? They just buried his mom 2 weeks ago from a fatal heart attack.

Don't tell me your age; you probably would tell a falsehood anyway -but the Man from Mars will know! YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH

This is pretty neat..

DON'T CHEAT BY LOOKING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute
Work this out as you read .
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1759 ..
If you haven't, add 1758.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2009) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.
chocolate Calculator.
