Popping in, too. Since it is raining here I don't feel so bad being tied to the sewing machine. Gotta get everything done before our trip.

You know BJ there is only about 1/2 hrs difference between going through Nashville or St. Louis; yes, I was surprised, too. Will decide later which way.
Whole way is just shy of 1200 miles (18-19 hours).

Janice I can tell ya first hand it is 12 hours from Champaign -Urbana Illinois to Tyler Texas as that is were my folks are and we drive that ....we go on 57 down to 55 and take that to west Memphis then come across Arkansas on I 40 to Little Rock around on 440 to go around lil rock and take 30 to to texarkana hop on 59 and take that to 20 in Marshall and come across on 20 to Tyler exit 271.....and I know I am around an hour from BJ if that helps any on time and directions

He got 102.00 for it. maybe he can buy us a new phone, eh. Never thought i'd miss it but I do.

Can't tell ya's how excited I am, This month is going pretty quick. LOL, I feel like a kid leaving home for the first time...
I have never gone on a vacation without Steve! A million what if's going through my head, keep going over the list.

had to pop in and tell ya all for a laugh DH is outside today on the mower riding around and watching the gopher/mole holes ..he has dug them out some to open them up and when they fill them back in he is shooting them with the shot gun..he has been lucky so far too but I doubt it gets rid of all of them ...they have been having a blast making holes and piles of "sand" all over the yard and in the gardens
And Harley (the dog) lays out in the yard and lays near the spots too and has been diggin at the holes too when she hears or smells them so it is either he do this or we have holes dug all over from the dog after them *sigh*

This has been the best bunch of kids I've ever had the pleasure of hosting at my house... they've all been sooo great... no problems at all. They've all gone except 4... sitting at the table now comparing ring tones on their cell phones.
They all swam a while at the neighbor's beach... came back to the house and ate more hot dogs... then blew up Don's big screen tv... so they didn't get to play the X Box... then they ate cake and ice cream... then played foot ball in the front yard... then all started getting their stuff together, and every one of them thanked me for opening my home for them to have a little fun together.... wasn't that sweet?

Some of them asked me about next year's student... the girl from Greenland... and they're going to help me have a get together for her here in August, so she'll know some people before school starts. How cool is that???

I'll have some pictures in a bit... Mike had such a good time today.

Awwww.. BJ... all went well then...Mike certainly must be one of the popular kids in school. And what do you mean by blowing up Don's tv????

Sort of like where I work,,,,you can't talk about anybody(not that I do) because you never know who will come back at you. ...everyone is related to everyone in the county. lol
I tell all the 'new' people that too,,,,don't say anything about anyone you wouldn't say to their face,,,because they ARE going to know you said it.
Shame people can't all just get along and treat each other right. the world would be such a better place to live.

Yep, Jaye... Don's big screen in the living room is toast now. Mike and Kristi played the Wii on it this morning, then wanted to watch tv... brought up the channel guide and the screen went all scrambly... we smelled electric wire burning, so we turned it off real quick... Called Don, and he said we'll just have to replace it... it's out of warranty.
