I see I need to get some serious attention to my "spring gardens" seeing as I have but two tulips blooming.
Everyone has such nice shots to share of their outdoor gardens, but alas, I have few things from outside to show. So, I'll show you some of what is waking up in the greenhouse!
Shall we start with the Epiphyllum Feuerzauber?
This is the first time blooming for this now three year old cutting
Garden Photos of '09.... #18
Here's another shot of the Epiphyllum Feuerzauber after the morning misting.
This one also has the color profile adjusted to Wide Gamut RGB to bring up the florescence of the colors, as the first shot is kind of muted with just the standard RGB color profile.
The actual color is somewhere in between these two photos.
Great picks Willi
Patti! I woke up at 3AM and got up at 3:30.
Cant figure it out ,I worked like a mule yesterday.
Thanks Grampapa!
Willie.... you have far more patience than I to delve into all those kinds of plants! But, it looks great.
Jo Ann, Spring Delight is looking good. So is Hosta nana!! They haven't seemed to skip even one beat!
BIll...I'm jealous!
Thanks for all the gorgeous Spring blooms, folks & the cactus are great, Willie---I needed to look at something cheerful on this dreary day!
Bill what a wonderful yard!
Willie, great pics, you have the right idea.... if nothing is blooming outside make sure your inside is.
Willie, is there anything you don't grow? you're like me, only better at it LOL
phoebe, that one's sweet!
Bill, lovely!
I grew these violas from seed I got from weezingreens in Alaska last year. never got them planted so I shoved them in a planter hoping they'd make it thru the winter...I have the tags, but didn't take note.
I have 3 of these spaced out nicely in a row in the middle of a rose bed. I'm hoping they are something I planted. Can anybody identify? If they are a weed I want to get them out of there before they go to seed. I put in so many perennial seedlings last year that I have no idea what I planted or where. My granddaughters planted some stuff for me and forget to put in tags, and a lot of the tags disappeared, or the writing on the tags disappeared. So I'll be guessing a lot this spring.
edit to add: sorry it's sidewise...but HELP! LOL

Thanks, all!!
Nice shots, Jan. I really like the Violas from Weezin' ..... plant a lot of marigolds, the voles hate them, I hear!
I was lucky enough to get a coin baggie FULL of Carol's seeds, literally 1,000s of seeds. I have planted about 1/2 of them, and see everything in there: from marigold and calendula seeds to poppy to squash to pea to sage seeds and everything in between, I bet!
I try to grow everything, but alas ..... Unless they thrive on neglect!! I seem to have trouble with ferns, though I have 4 now (3 Boston, 1 Kimberly Queen) that seem to have made it past "that point." Also, I have had the dickens of a time growing Jasmines and those Violets. If they make it one full year, chances are, they will make it years.
Nice Blue Columbine!! Awesome color, Nancy!!!
you think that's bare???
