Garden Photos of '09.... #18
So pretty everyone, Deb not so boring at least you still have tulips all my tulips are gone already from that heat wave we had.
My flower drift daffs never bloomed just dried up with that heat and the rhodys haven't bloomed yet so I have a real lull in the action. I need to take pics of the azaleas only thing in bloom.
Nancy, that columbine is a beautiful blue!
Victor and Dyane, love that white azalea.
Dayane, love that Sappho.
Phoebe - no need - Deb is right.
Think you mis--understood my intent--that's ok--not sure such a thread exists.
Hmmm...I was probably clear as mud--as usual! LOL--Victor--Your flowers and plantings are just beautlful!--she gasped!!!!
Our painted fern is sulking. Patti--Snow Tree was hybridized in Westford, MA. Natascha is well-known for being tender.
Thanks, Phoebe!
Very nice, Victor--the pink columbine has me drooling! Jo Ann----what a present! You trained your daughters well....
Victor, love the fern and ligularia, now I have to get some ligularia.
Oh My!!!!! Beautiful view! And love the wall of pots! Actually, I love their building--is it vintage? I love old houses....barns--garages...etc.
Robin, I think your ID is right...those plants sure do look like candytuft. I always think of it as a groundhugger, so I didn't think about these tall plants as candytuft. I know I had seed for 'Snowflake'. Thanks!
Deb, lovely. I like the pheasant berry.
Dyane, the color on the azalea carpet is wonderful! I need more lilacs. I'd really like a pink one.
Joanne, what a nice surprise!
Victor, I'm having very little luck with my ferns. Yours is so pretty. I don't think I use enough organic matter when I plant.
Booj, the pot wall is very cool! the last shot looks like a botanical park.
Great pics, everyone!
I have not had time to take many photos lately, though I've noticed lots that I've been wanting to photograph as I'm working in my gardens.
DiggerDee, I know what that is like, taking the week off from work to get gardens in shape, and then getting rain, rain, and more rain. That happened to me a couple years ago in late May. I was pretty bummed!
I love what you did with your ground covers, Thom. Great job!
Your tulip bed pic is great, Celeste! You got a great deal on those daylilies. Fantastic! Love the worm's eye view of the Frit. persica.
Diane, I definitely think your unknown geranium is 'Samabor'. My friend Karen has that one, and I was admiring it just today. It's a very nice one.
Great pics on your Picasa album, Patti! Your place is just spectacular!
I'm looking forward to getting my jade, Willie! Thanks! I love your merged pic of the cacti. Cool!
Love the shots at your place, Booj!
Karen
Nice hummer shot, Allison, in spite of the low light!
Karen
Your hummer shots are great--the second one is very artsy--like a silhouette.
thanks... no matter light or dark.. I just enjoy watching them... this one that has been visiting is not afraid of anyone... my sisters bf... was no kidding 2 feet away from the feeder... and it just stayed there drinking and did not care that he even turned around to look at it... and there were 4 of us all close by.. amazing when they are not afraid ... last years were all skiddish until they got used to me... I hope to get some nice shots tomorrow
Wow! Bold bird! Looking forward to more pics!
Phoebe, we rent out our house and live in a great apartment in the barns. So the wall is my home (long window is in the kitchen). Not sure of the date for the barns but the house is 1850. Great hummer shots. I'm mostly seeing a male hummer here (in that quince in the second wall pic).
Nice job on those hummer shots Allison!
Booj..... nice pics. But, the view is fantastic!!
Victor.... I love the painted fern and the ligularia! What kind of ligularia is that?
WOW!!!!
Back up a bit!!!
Sorry I dont know the color of the tree peony, neither does DD who will be planting it.

Great pictures everyone. Boojum your gardens are great as ever.
Nice hummer too.
