Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning to both of you..Tubby have a great day AND take photo's to share please!

LindaKay, how are you doing health and weather wise...been watching the weather channel and news, sounds as though your area is having quite a time...major building collapse in Dallas right?

Hope all you DG friends are safe...saying a prayer for you...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Betty, I am doing fine. Just get tired some days, and stressed out, but that is expected!
Dad is going to go and live with my youngest Brother in Canon City, Oklahoma next week, so that will give me a break for the summer. Dad is looking forward to go and live with him for awhile! I will drive up to Amarillo Texas next Friday, and meet my brother half way, have a good visit with my oldest sone ethat lives there, then come back home.

Our weather is doing pretty good, we have had some rain, but not too much, and no nasty storms like Dallas had. Thank God! We get some pretty good strong winds here, but so far, all is OK!

Tubby Happy Birthday to all!!

LK

Terry-HAPPY BDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved the devil one-I am sure someone says that when I get up every morning-whether it's DH or the devil, I can't tell;)

And shame on you for my early morning cry-it was a good story....

Mary-OMG-I hate those MTV shows. I always want to smack those spoiled brats!! Never thankful that daddy is spending the equivalent of a house or a small island on them, it's never right and it's never enough...I highly doubt your daughter is the same. My mom explained budgets to me when I was like 14 and from then on I got a lump sum to buy my school clothes and for stuff like my Bday. How I chose to make it stretch was on me, but there wasn't ever any going back for more....

Pacifica, CA

morning all,

hope all is well with you all,

betty, shaking my head? i've got a flim crew going there to film this lol
yep our judy is being quite the homemaker thease days, shhh i think she is having to much fun! i enjoyed the pictures of your trip looks like the boys were having a real good time.

judy, omg is he the cutest thing! i told dh he better get that last peice on the squirrel feeder asap! i have one destructive critter! he chewed the perches off the bird feeder so the seed would pour out all over the side walk can you imagine! lucky for him i have patience lol.

mary, wow that is a large number to be laying off have fun with the party.

everyone have a wonderful day

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Good morning all,
Betty I just loved the pictures from your trip. You certainly showed the boys a wonderful time. I like it that they really appreciated what you did for them.
Tubby, the story was just right for this Sunday morning. It's dreary here today but I'm hoping the sun will come out later.
Wasn't that Derby something else?? What a thriller. And to think Kim won on it..
And it is a shame about the destruction in Texas. Thankful that no one was hurt.
Enjoy your day everyone. Barb

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Betty, I am a fair weather cyclist.....DH isn't too happy this morning...between still being sore from the nasty hills he took us on Thursday....and being surrounded by clouds (even though it is sunny at the house right now)...it is cool out and I decided to stay home and do a few things here.....as my mother says " I have the Don'ts today".

Terry, Happy Birthday to all......our group comes in bunches......My daughter, niece and father in law all on January 6th...another niece on the 14th.......my son, nephew and another niece all in April......mother in law and sister in law 5th and 6th of March....me my DH, his grand mother and great grandmother all in December.

All this cooking talk reminds me....I need to get a chicken out of the freezer and go cut a big bunch of Sage and Rosemary....roast Chicken for dinner! Should pop down to the Farmers Market and see what they have to go with it. Nice to have the Market back on schedule.....so many of them suffered sever flooding in '07 that we had a late opening last year.....so glad things are returning to normal for the area farmers.

Judy, we are still waiting for Ham Pie recipes.....also for Betty's Meat Pies?????? Are they something like the Cornish Pasties???

Will pop back in later, Porter is telling me it is rally time to go out for a short walk....

Baton Rouge, LA

WOW! I'm going to start singing "Silent Night".....

Had Band Banquet tonight and just now on....I figured I would have a lot more catching up to do!

Hey Betty - "Sweet 16" not sure about the "Never been kissed"... :) ....The party is this coming Saturday night...Then the family comes here for Mothers Day because I don't want MIL to have a mess at her house that day...plus the kids & cousins can swim....NO CLUE what I'm doing (serving) at this rate...it might be pizzas delivered (LOL!)

Hey Stacey - I totally agree re: MTV. Silly Silly shows...but I swear that must be the basis for DD1's party....I think those families should say "For your 16th bday we'll feed all the children in a small country". HA! Anyway the good thing around my house is that lately, Bdays are like Laundry where the girls are concerned... I never got appreciated for doing them....so I dont do them anymore. :) So DD1 has had to be resourceful (which she is) and on somewhat of a budget...but it will be interesting to see how the week pans out....
You know I'm a Beginner Gardener....most all we have are invasives to give away! HA! But DH does have some 'good stuff". Since the RU has been postponed due to swine flu...I'll just see who I can give to....good practice for me anyway trying to grow cuttings....I think my basil cuttings are 'taking'. (is that correct terminology?)
Liz - Yes - those were nationwide layoffs....we lost 4 locally.

Trisha - Need that Rosemary Chicken Recipe! We've a TON of Rosemary here! But I've yet to cook with it...(DH has).....

LK - Glad you are getting a break....you do need that!

Okay - I've GOT to tell you all. The Band Banquet was tonight....and the Band Director had a new award to give out. "Parent Volunteer of the Year". Yes - you guessed it....I won it....

Apparently the Students voted....I am so proud...I really must say...although anything I do or have done for the band has just been for DS and for the kids....not to win any award......although it was nice to be appreciated!

Hugs to all,
Mary

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Congratulations, Mary, you absolutely deserved the award!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Hi Mary.....congrats on the award, you deserve it!!

The Chicken Recipe: Take one whole roasting chicken....remove giblets from inside and replace with several large sprigs of Rosemary......chop a good handful of rosemary, place several pats of butter and the chopped rosemary under the skin of the chicken....Place in roasting pan....sprinkle liberally with Lemon Pepper, Chopped Rosemary and Salt.....place in 350 degree oven 1-1 1/2 hours (until well browned, juices run clear and leg joint moves freely....let stand for about five minutes, carve and enjoy!!

Baton Rouge, LA

Thank you Sharran & Trisha!

Well - I'm hoping we've installed enough traditions so that this thing will continue long after I'm gone...

We're losing some key Seniors this year (but isn't that the case every year).....next year will be interesting...

Also announced...DS will be "Drum Co-Captain". I can tell already this will be a good experience for him...he's already talking about making the Drumline do "10 push ups everytime they drop their drumsticks".....

HA!

How was your Sunday? Any planting?

Trisha - I'm saving this recipe in our "Family Cookbook" folder...will try it soon! DD1 had a "lavendar chicken" at Cinderella's Castle at Disney that she still talks about - the recipe we looked up online is similar...

Hugs
Mary

Do Not Swallow Chewing Gum

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all..

It's an achy/achy start to the morning here, wow, didn't know kneeling, weeding in the beds would use up so many muscles..

Mary, congratulations on the award, I'm sure you deserved it twice over...and normally yes, pizza does deliver, just ask me and I live but 2 doors over to a pizza place-talk about lazy! So lazy that I took out a roast yesterday and within the hour it was back in the freezer..can of spaghetti and toast was all I needed..

Talking about invasive, omg half the reason I spent most of aft./evening in the garden beds..forget what you call it, grows and attaches itself all over, little purple flowers, deep roots, long stringers that whereever it touches creates another patch..I'll sure have to keep close tabs on it...smells kind of minty..

Now there are several plant like growth in the grass so dug some of it up and transplanted as well as digging up some new plant life..put a lot in the DG friendship garden..I've about 12 pkgs. of $$$ store seed which just before leaving for work this a.m. I'll just scatter, what comes up comes up..lol..saving my big planting for the weekend..

Liz my girlfriend from Ireland called, just as we started to gab Ann came in so had to cut it short..Ann has been holding up but you can tell it's taking it's toll and she's trying to be brave..all she would say is I was on her mind a lot last week, what with Roger's death, and the Bill situation she said she just didn't know how I had the courage to go on, so on she must as well..said her house and cottage are 'spotless' her way of dealing with stress is clean/clean/clean...enjoyed to visit..now that it's spring, they'll be up every weekend..she was just walking out the door when the telephone rang, a friend of mine who is also named 'Helen' passed away..they lived on the bay across from my home, we did a lot of boating with she and DH Bernie..in fact, they bought the Foxy Lady from me, Bernie was nervous driving it because of the long nose, so put it in storage where we bought her back, took her home and redid every inch of her....

Managed to get my blocks done, Suzanne's slacks hemmed..decided not to shorten drapes until window trim is complete...by 7pm I thought I should really come downstairs and work on the glass on glass piece for the back deck but called it a night instead..

I've class tonight, Carol gave me a list of what has to be brought to class, drats, list in my jacket, where's my jacket, work closet so I'll have to bring what I can remember and the rest I'll have to buy..

Trisha with Cathy and the boys dropping in all the time I think I should make sure my bike is serviced and do a little riding..might take some of this weight off..sitting and no exercise all day is starting to show..yep, I wouldn't be a dedicated cyclist either..maybe only when weather conditions and work/play schedule allows me time..

LindaKay, do you and DB take turns each year or is this a first? Will afford you to do things you want to do without worrying about him this summer...how far is it to where you are meeting DB 1/2 way?? Glad the storms have not been in your area...we as well have had high winds...finally yesterday they calmed for a few hours and I got all the burning done..

Got to get ready,
Talk later

Interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PRETTY EASY FOR PREDATORS TO GET INFO, Please read to your children....

EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ ALL OF THIS and HAVE CHILDREN READ IT TOO!

After tossing her books on the sofa, she
decided to
grab a snack and get on-line. She logged on under
her screen name ByAngel213. She checked her Buddy
List and saw GoTo123 was on.
She sent him an instant message:

ByAngel213:
Hi. I'm glad you are on! I thought someone was
following me home today. It was really weird!

GoTo123:
LOL You watch too much TV. Why would someone
be following you?
Don't you live in a safe neighborhood?

ByAngel213:
Of course I do. LOL I guess it was my imagination
cuz' I didn't see anybody when I looked out.

GoTo123:
Unless you gave your name out on-line.
You haven't done that have you?

ByAngel213:
Of course not. I'm not stupid you know.

GoTo123:
Did you have a softball game after school today?

ByAngel213:
Yes and we won!!

GoTo123:
That's great! Who did you play?

ByAngel213:
We played the Hornets. LOL. Their uniforms are
so gross! They look like bees. LOL

GoTo123:
What is your team called?

ByAngel213:
We are the Canton Cats. We have tiger paws
on our uniforms. They are really cool.

GoTo123:
Did you pitch?

ByAngel213:
No I play second base. I got to go. My homework
has to be done before my parents get home. I
don't want them mad at me. Bye!

GoTo123:
Catch you later. Bye

Meanwhile.......GoTo123 went to the member menu
and began to search for her profile. When it
came up, he highlighted it and printed it
out. He took out a pen and began to write down what
he knew about Angel so far.

Her name: Shannon
Birthday: Jan. 3, 1985
Age: 13
State where she lived: North Carolina

Hobbies: softball, chorus, skating and going to
the mall. Besides this information, he knew she
lived in Canton because she had just told him.
He knew she stayed by herself until 6:30 p.m. every
afternoon until her parents came home from work.
He knew she played softball on Thursday afternoons
on the school team, and the team was named the
Canton Cats. Her favorite number 7 was printed on
her jersey. He knew she was in the eighth grade at the
Canton Junior High School She had told him all this in
the conversations they had on-line... He had enough
information to find her now.

Shannon didn't tell her parents about the incident on
the way home from the ballpark that day. She didn't
want them to make a scene and stop her from
walking home from the softball games. Parents were
always overreacting and hers were the worst. It made
her wish she was not an only child. Maybe if she
had brothers and sisters, her parents wouldn't
be so overprotective..

By Thursday, Shannon had forgotten about the
footsteps following her.

Her game was in full swing when suddenly she
felt someone staring at her. It was then that the
memory came back. She glanced up from her second
base position to see a man watching her closely.

He was leaning against the fence behind first base
and he smiled when she looked at him. He didn't
look scary and she quickly dismissed the sudden fear
she had felt.

After the game, he sat on a bleacher while she talked
to the coach. She noticed his smile once again as she
walked past him. He nodded and she smiled back. He
noticed her name on the back of her shirt. He knew he
had found her.

Quietly, he walked a safe distance behind her. It was
only a few blocks to Shannon 's home, and once
he saw where she lived he quickly returned to the
park to get his car.

Now he had to wait. He decided to get a bite to eat
until the time came to go to Shannon 's house.
He drove to a fast food restaurant and sat there
until time to make his move.

Shannon was in her room later that evening when
she heard voices in the living room.

"Shannon, come here," her father called. He
sounded upset and she couldn't imagine why.
She went into20the room to see the man from
the ballpark sitting on the sofa.

"Sit down," her father began, "this man has
just told us a most interesting story about you."

Shannon sat back.. How could he tell her parents
anything? She had never seen him before today!

"Do you know who I am, Shannon ?" the man asked.

"No," Shannon answered.

"I am a police officer and your online friend, GoTo123."

Shannon was stunned. "That's impossible! GoTo is a
kid my age! He's 14. And he lives in Michigan !"

The man smiled. "I know I told you all that, but it wasn't
true. You see, Shannon , there are people on-line
who pretend to be kids; I was one of them. But
while others do it to injure kids and hurt them, I belong
to a group of parents who do it to protect kids
from predators. I came here to find you to teach you
how dangerous it is to talk to people on-line. You
told me enough about yourself to make it easy for me
to find you. You named the school you went to, the
name of your ball team and the position you played.
The number and name on your jersey just made
finding you a breeze."

Shannon was stunned. "You mean you don't
live in Michigan ?"

He laughed. "No, I live in Raleigh It made you feel safe
to think I was so far away, didn't it?"

She nodded.

"I had a friend whose daughter was like you. Only
she wasn't as lucky. The guy found her and
murdered her while she was home alone...
Kids are taught not to tell anyone when they are
alone, yet they do it all the time on-line. The
wrong people trick you into giving out information
a little here and there on-line. Before you know it,
you have told them enough for them to find you
without even realizing you have done it. I hope you've
learned a lesson from this and won't do it again. Tell
others about this so they will be safe too?"

"It's a promise!"

That night Shannon and her Dad and Mom all
knelt down together and thanked God for protecting
Shannon from what could have been a tragic situation.

I left this in this time !!

CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning.
Tubby I have read that before, andit isscary to read what the kids doonline today!

"LindaKay, do you and DB take turns each year or is this a first? Will afford you to do things you want to do without worrying about him this summer...how far is it to where you are meeting DB 1/2 way??"

Bety to answer your question, my Brother lives in canon City Colorado, and I live in Del Rio, Texas. Driving to Amarillo Texas is about half way for both of us. About an 8 hour drive for me, and about 6 hours for him. Not too bad. This is the first time for him to take my Dad. Before it has been my other Brother in Washington, and my Sister in Michigan.
So we will see how this goes!

You were so busy yesterday, how are you muscles today? Ibet they are pretty sore!

You all have a wonderful day.

LK

Victoria Harbour, ON

Long drive for you LindaKay, will you be spending a few days before returning..When grandma had to leave her home, my family rented it and she took turns, of course living in same town helped..2 weeks at each which made things easier for all taking turn, I was out of town, 45 minutes away and took her weekends when I was able to, then in the last 3 years or so when she was in a Retirement home we all had days to visit..mine was Saturday (because of my work schedule)..I'd pick her up and we'd go out for lunch, sometimes drive over to dad's or go shopping..so enjoyed it..routine/routine, hair done at 8:00 am, retirement home by 9am bring her back around 1:00 pm (had entertainment on weekends which she enjoyed) and then off to start my weekend..felt lost when she passed on...she was quite a lady..

As for my muscles, think my muscles have muscles..lol..really sore today..knees are paining..am sure a few hours of sitting with them up a bit will do the trick...

Janice, just filled out the mailing envelope..sending my block..

Tubby, will pass this on to my boys..thanks..how did your day go yesterday, are you tired today from all the partying?

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Good Morning!! I haven't had time to post over the end of the week or weekend, went to a big RU, it was lots of fun and I'm still tired!

I'll try to catch up later but I'm going to be busy here at work again. Yuk.

Glenview, IL

Good Morning!

Wow, Crissy, so glad you had a wonderful time at the RU.

Betty, Betty...Yikes, my yard is chalk full of that crawly weed! LOL, Steve thinks it looks awsom on that mound of compost in that back there, I just cringe, lol, time to till that pile...Speaking of tilling, man, my tiller is out of commision at the moment, so not cool.
Had to giggle that your roast went back into the freezer. My Ham turned out great!

Trisha and Mary, Yummy...Here is how I prepare ham pies. LOL, very much like chicken pot pies.
Get pie crust and follow directions, heheh, the kind you just add water too. I also buy the the littlle pie tins.
in a bowl mix cubed ham, a can of mixed veggies, and cream of celery soup, (pea soup is good too).
I also keep a little soup mixute on the side and add to each pie. place in oven for about 45 min. at 350
...of course add salt and pepper to taste. Bon appettite!
So funny, was reading this cook book for idea, at the top of every page is a check list:
Loved it ( )
Hated It ( )
Maybe we'll try it again ( )
LOLOL My favorite
We'll use it for unwelcome guests ( )

too funny, but I hope you will mark Loved it, I do!

So I had a very busy weekend. Lots and lots of yard work, yesterday, Wrestled with the Cedar bush. The deer have eaten to almost nothing so it made me sad to have to digg it out. Was telling the neighbor I have had that same bush for about 15 years, was just a liny mound when I got it from my friend Elenore. We had it up at the camper and then moved it here when we bought the Cottage. There is another one, that has been left alone so I am thinking I might just take it to the house, anyway haven't fully decided as of yet.

Then Saturday, I planted my new rose and Canna, transplanted the Sedum and Ornamental Lilly...
Betty, I like your idea, yep just toss some seed and watch the beauty grow!
Today, i have got to get the new bed finished, I am thinking of a bird bath with plantings Hosta, fern, maybe a few daisies oh and a mix of Iris...All nice and deer free, with exeption of hostas...So placed my Betty chair by the fires place and watched the birds and squirels dine.

So here is a picture for you. This was before removing Cedar Bush...LOL, I am sharing your aches and pains today, going to work leisurely.
Betty, was sorry to hear of your friend...

Mary Congratulations! So nice when Kids show their apprectiation. Being a Band mom is alot of work. I was for about 7 years, loved every minute and actually miss it now. Our school won the Grammy award the last year Julia was in Band! She plays the Saxaphone.
And I am hoping Jacob with join the Orchestra, he plays the Violin.

Well...I've got to get to turning the soil.
Ok, in this picture you see my new little sitting room, I thought Jumangi needed to be among some plants, she loves it there.

Thumbnail by Seedtosser1
Victoria Harbour, ON

You really have cleaned up..Judy, I've got to do some touch ups to my Betty chair and table..yours seems to have fared the winter, of course I think you said you kept it inside right? lol

You are just a busy bee, what in the world will you ever do once you've got everything done inside/outside, oh yes I know..sit and relax..that will be the day....your Jumangi looks wonderful amongs the plants..don't you just hate having to take out shrubs...I keep looking at the ones I think have died and they are all the same shrub so just maybe they are slow at starting, won't take them out..

You really need a pond like feature back there Judy...I've a perfect one, all you need it the smaller bricks they use on homes, maybe you have a few lying around, well maybe a few more than few...a plastic container and some dinnerware..as for the dinnerware Steve could use a glass/tile bit and make a hole for the water hose....come on, say you'll do it, I love the desigtn of it..will have to take photo of the project..

Victoria Harbour, ON

Found a photo Judy...a must for your yard and something you could do on your own...if Steve doesn't have the time to drill the plates I can and send them to you...

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
Glenview, IL

Oh Betty, Thank you!
You know, I am still toying the idea of my fairy going there.
I have riverstone and bricks, i love the this idea, also with the plates will add nice touch.
could be multi level!

Gosh, I am so not into digging today, lol keep going out there and looking, figure if i look and think hard enough it will till itself!
Heavy laughter there.

Did you notice i also put my leaves we made? Steve thought it's looking real nice too. So i am just pleased as punch.

What you doing today Betty...Oh guess what, joined the RWB swap too this year!

Victoria Harbour, ON

I saw that Judy...I so enjoyed it last year..just disappointed the floormat got yukked up ...

No digging for the water feature Judy, just find a plastic pail or container, place bricks in alternative fashion until it's as high as you want it...

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Terry that was a very good story that Does need to be passed on!

Don't think I will get anything done outside today.....calm right now but rain and high winds are predicted by late morning, early afternoon. Guess we will do inside stuff today.

Didn't get much done yesterday....after lunch decided to watch the baseball game before starting anything....it turned into a five hour, 15 inning ballgame!!! We won!!! But by the end of the game I don't think most of us cared, we just wanted it to end....

Guess I should get the dog out for her walk before the bad weather gets here.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I like that water feature....need to make sure Laura sees this one!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Would be really cheap to make I think, no need for digging and pond liners...I so love the sound of water...

Lyndonville, NY

Waving hello! Sorry I haven't posted, but have been reading up.

Wow 16th birthday parties....and awards! Congratulation Mary!

Loving the flower photos, loving the water fountain!

The smiles from Tubby, jokes stories and cartoons! I love them!

I was attempting to do too much this weekend, and I am aching. Me being the procrastinator that I am, didn't get my winter wreath off the porch fast enough....and looks like it will be up at least six to eight more weeks!

If she would have just waited, my spring wreath already had a bird nest decor on it! LOL

Have a great day,
Debbie

Thumbnail by DebbiesDaisy
Lyndonville, NY

I love how it looks like she has a "halo" surrounding her nest and her...I think it is from her turning back and forth, and her tail dusting the house. Normally this time of year we wash down the front...but it is going to have to wait.

Debbie

Thumbnail by DebbiesDaisy
Victoria Harbour, ON

Oh Debbie what an adorable picture..doesn't she look content...yep, you'll have to wait to get the house power washed..Take a photo of the entire wreath with her sitting and use it on Christmas cards..

You are overdoing again aren't you sweetie...just got back from lunch and it's sunshine galore, wouldn't you know..what's growing in your garden?

Lyndonville, NY

Betty, I have gone through all but two of Moms totes, and the ones with Christmas ornaments. We have moved the "furniture" that was in the DD's garage over yesterday. My Moms hutch, which was her pride and joy and a curio cabinet....along with some small odds and ends. I just finished going thru her coffee/tea/china cup collection, and putting them in the hutch.

I still have over 230 snowmen to go through....lordy. I am not keeping them all, or all the cups. Just the ones I know where they came from and their history, letting the kids take their choices and putting the others on ebay I believe. Some are very old and bone china from England.

Still busy getting Shane ready for his trip....which he leaves Saturday morning at 4:00 a.m. First stop at Gettysburg and doing a performance at the vistors center, then onto Kennedy Center, and they are doing a performance there. I am thrilled they are going to the Holocost museum, and the Duck Tours!

I might just sneak up and plug in the wreath...with the white lights, and take a shot for the Christmas Card...will be cute especially when the babies hatch also.

Debbie

Glenview, IL

Hi Debbie, Wow that picture is slendid!!
Love that idea Betty, it would be an awsom card.

Yes i do love the water feature...for right now though a birdbath is what I'v come up with.
I still have to dig up those weeds and replant. I am seriously thing of mulchining the daylights out of this small area.
I really enjoy having my Betty right there. Nice and shadey, to sit and read, or just watch the garden grow and keep an eye on the fire too.

So taking a short break...I am hungry and getting a headache!

Thumbnail by Seedtosser1
(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Debbie-that is too cool!! When I looked at the first pic I didn't get it as the bird didn't look real and I thought it was part of the wreath!!LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

Judy love what you did with that stained glass lampshade, see now, you thought about it all year and look what you've come up with...how pretty your setting is...headache is probably from working non stop in the sunshine, off you go for a nap..

Debbie, it's difficult to go through all those totes, wow, all those snowmen, did your mom display them all? I'm sure the kids would love to have a few im memory of your mom...and now you've a china cabinet filled with things she loved, must make you feel better...never sell anything on e-bay but it sounds as though it's a plan..you mmight have to teach me how when I become responsible for all those porcelain dolls of mom's...shhhhh, don't you tell her that Debbie or I'm off her will....lol

Too bad parents can't go on these excursions, you'd have a lovely time...know Shane will for sure..Gettysburg I so wanted to have a tour but we got there when it was just nearing closing and took a different route home..always another trip right...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Hello there Stacey, how is your day going..get much gardening in over the weekend?

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

That is so cool, and yes it would make a wonderful Christmas Card!!
Please keep us in photo updates of the Birdie Family!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Got all my beds weeded and a sunburn to prove it!!LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

Hope you are wearing sun-screen Stacey..
Trisha what's on your agenda today?

Just called Carol about my class tonight..she told me to come at 6:00 instead of 7:00pm as she only has one stencil and the work done tonight with tissue paper/glue etc will have to be done one by one then we have to leave it until next Monday, so might mean I'll be home early after all tonight..

Still means I have an hour to find something to do, noticed at lunch the Superstore Garden Center was open so might go browse..wouldn't mind picking up a lilac tree or 2 seeing mine look woody...

Think the words 'can be abused' is my first clue of how strong it is..Don't go there, no purchasing this plant...
