Thanks Victor-----Photos are wonderful but hard to load sometimes.
Lilac Festival starts May 7 or9 but its early
Congrats, Celeste! Long time coming, eh? Love the tulip foliage and the blue primrose. Nice volunteer as well!
This warm weather really has things opening up! We only got to 75 today but it has a nice breeze all day...it was perfect!
Oh Celeste! Those are all so gorgeous!!!! Beautiful! Awesome colors!!
Beautiful, Celeste!! I love all the blue shades! I didn't realize that there are perennial vinca up in New England. That is very pretty. I can see it paired with my new red. LOL
Thank you both Ladies!!
Let me know if you want some Louise.I have a ton of it. I've had it for about 8 years now so it has spred nicely. It blooms in the spring and in the fall.it's not supposed to but it does.
Thanks, Celeste. Is your vinca a ground cover?
Yes, very good.
It only gets morning sun on the side of the house and it loves it!
very pretty, Robin! So, you have perennial vinca too?! Maroon? When I put vinca in Plant Files, all I get is the kind I have. Does this vinca have another name as well?
Very nice! Love that Cherry Tree!
Lovely view and beautiful cherry tree, Robin! That is quite a feat to transplant trillium and have it live. It doesn't usually do well. Congrats!!!
Yes, Louise, it does---cannot remember it of course---bought it from Wayside---I'll post a photo tomorrow. Pixie---I wish the cherries tasted better---they are Stella, & tart.
Very nice, Robin. Beautiful tree.
There were actually 3---all took, but the airhead dug 7 bathtubs in the shade garden---I've since bought a new fence to keep him out! Anyway, he dug up the other 2---grrrrr.
Thanks, Victor.
Oh, No!!! No fair!!
Aha! Thank you, Celeste! Very pretty. I'll have to think about where I might put some.
I'm glad I went back to the last thread---Allison I am soooo jealous of the red-headed WP---only have seen it once! And we can't feed suet here because of the bears---had all our feeders torn down a few years ago! Anyway, another WP that's interesting is the Acorn WP---saw them in Calif.---they actually bury the acorns in holes in the tree trunks---very weird!
I actually got it done planted 200 columbines today in a six by 80 foot bed took me hours to do it and lots of back pain cant wait for them to bloom
also planted delphiniums and gallardias, helianthus, sweet fall clematis and a few more perennials that I have been wanting to put in for the last two weeks and just couldnt find the time or the weather was not co operating
mona
they say there are bears here too.... but if they aren't in my yard yet... between the bird feeders, 2 suet holders, corn, peanuts and thistle.... I don't think so
Impressive, Mona. Bears are in my area too, but so far have never seen any.
