PC is back!! I wished it's the garden variety malware that had infected it! But, it's one that got the manager working on it for 3 hours, cause the geek team had never seen one like it. Why am I the chosen one!! Hope NOT to get lucky again!
Let me address what I can recall from reading, as I promised to turn this over to Kel so he can check on the 'important files'.
Kim, plant those brugs in pots and make sure the soil medium used are easy draining. Brugs love water but don't like to sit in them. And they're heavy feeders too. In the fall, when it's time to cut mine down, I'll send you more, just remind me.
Welcome back Stacey! If it's a love story out of the bayous, this Asian Cajun want me a copy!! Mais Chere, I bet 'il fait chaud'!
Glad your trip went well BJ. You'll be perfect for the job, so it sounds you're going to be their new liaison director for the East Tx. Team. I remember once you saying you are always finding something to do... BJ, looks like this job found you!!
Cody, I'm sorry it took me so long to get to your apron!! Kel loves the little pocket.
BJ, I had started on your apron with a jelly roll bought from WM. I sewed the strips together, and washed it.. After drying, the band didn't turn out 'perfect' should have known, the quality is not like Moda's Jelly Roll. Thought I'd be finished with yours this weekend... sorry sistah. I rather do one that will last some time than one that you have to throw after a couple uses.
Thanks LK for the news on Audrey. I forgot to send her a card!
So Lisa, you changed your handle. If not for Stacey, I won't figure it is you!
Kel wants this now.... Hi Crissy..............Synda..............Barb......Trisha!!
BRB when he's done!
HUGS!!!!!!!!!

Looks like you all are having a busy night.
So I'll just catch you all tomorrow. Have a good night's sleep everyone!
Jaye
Hey Jaye, we have missed you......glad you have your computer back!!!
Have a good night!
waving HI - I'm running late for court - today i testify. had a bad night - that darn defense attorney.
Good morning!
Bonnie, good luck! I hate courts too.
Trisha, I got to say that Sage truly has yours and Laura's DNA. What an amazing kid. Tell her too, that if she were to live closer that I'd love for her to do a mini garden for me. In fact, not on a plate nor a bowl, but in a little patch in the corner of my yard.
Got news from Cathy (Catspower), keep her and her husband in your prayers please. She has had her back surgery, which isn't helping (yet) and now due for a knee replacement. Her husband has a lung and kidney infection.
Cody, you and LK are so lucky to get brugmansias blooming. Have you found out what "ES" is?
A beautiful day this morning and I'll be out there tending to the garden. Have to water the plants daily now and I'm sure it will be twice once it hits the upper 80's as it is so windy here and the soil dries up fast.
Coffee's on + croissants.
Wishing you all a productive day today!
Please be careful if going out in public places.. swine flu got us wearing masks, lots of immigrants here. Rather be safe.
Morning everyone.
Jaye glad to see you back online!
LK
LK-did you get it the 2nd time I sent in in works??
Tante-I need you to dmail me your email-maybe you can help me a few specifc things I could add since I have never been to Louisiana...
Morning ladies !!
Finally got Don off to work this morning... but didn't have any bread in the house to make his lunch... so, I just packed him snacks, and told him to buy him a sandwich at the ball park. He's doing Baseball today... so, he's happy. He'll be even more happy when all the Basketball playoffs are over. He took the truck today so he can go to Home Depot for the stuff to build my grape arbor (technically, I think it's called a pergola if it's bigger than 4' wide).
The school district is conducting the Taks tests this week (state standardized tests)... and they don't want Mike to take them... so, all he has to do is go to the school by 8:30 to sign in, and he's out the rest of the day... we did that already this morning. He's getting a hair cut today, then we'll need to get some groceries.
It's yucky, rainy and gray today... won't be doing any gardening out there in this mess.
it's poopy and rainy here too-I came down this am to water in the foyer-we have 2 long windows that flank the front door and they leak when the rain is blown directly at them. We tried caulking around them and that helped to reduce the incoming water on the one by about 50% and the other by about 75%, but when we get a good rain that bows that direction.....
It flat out poured last night, hope my seeds and seedlings survived.
We're having a safety meeting and talking about earthquakes and where to go in the building. I'm from CA, spent 33 1/2 years of 36 in CA and they're trying to figure out the safest place to go, I'm telling them under a door frame or strong table (desk) is the safest and they're not believing me, saying the brick stairwell is the safest. Trying to explain morter doesn't hold up to earthquakes because it doesn't have any give in it and will crumble, still ignorning me. That's fine, they can all go inside the brick stairwell and I'll be safe under my door frame. Now I'm frustrated, no one here has ever been in CA, let alone live there. gggrrrrrrr
crissyr, I am so in agreement with you. Like teaching, those who are in the head offices sending directives down to the teachers what they should do in the classroom. Most doing this hasn't seen the inside of a classroom in 30 years! Go figure!!
Greetings all, been out side working with the lawn people and needed a break. Getting on the hot, humid side now so my time will be limited.
you reading during your break Auntie M??
I guess I just don't worry enough. They're talking about each one of us keeping rations of food so we can survive for x # of days in this building with no power, even talking about buying a self-composting toilet.
did your boss go see some psychic that said the world was ending soon or something??
Morning y;all! I just hung up the phone from talking to Staceypoo Look what was waiting for me when we got home from mama's! Stacey's first ever sewing project! Just look at the details with the monogram and the pretty purple backing. Stacey told me she finished it on Betty's cadailac of a sewing machine while she was visiting in Canada. What a wonderful rag quilt!. Look at the Tinkerbells! Linda FAye gave her some of this fabric. Others? Right Stacy? I can see Riley dragging this behind her with one hand while sucking her thumb with the other. Wasn't it Leoness on Peanuts that dragged a blankie everywhere? I remember my youngest son Scott doing that very thing until he was 6 years old. Thank you so much my Staceypoo! love from your GA Peach ♥
LOL No, not at all, it's the ladies in the office worrying over things they just shouldn't be, in my opinion. Yes, plan for a tornado or earthquake, but I feel they take it way beyond the normal preparation. Yes, we are on the 7th floor of an 18 story building but good grief, I mean, a self composting toilet. Really???? Where are we supposed to put all of this stuff, there are fire regulations too. Every time there's any sort of anything on the news they freak out. They may not let me back in when I get back from my cruise to Mexico next month! LOL We should bring a 4-wheeler up here too so we have a way to escape!

He needs to stay away from psychics doesn't he?
What a beautiful rag quilt Stacey made for Riley !!!
Wonderful job, Stacey!!!
Crissy... that's funny...
We had 2 tornados hit close to us yesterday... one about 15 miles south of us in Corsicanna, and another about 15 miles north of us in Kemp. Kind of shook Mike up a bit, because he's only heard of tornados... they don't get them in Austria. I told him, that in all my nearly 60 years living in Texas, I've never been in a place where a tornado hit. I know the drill, and we're prepared to take action if one were to come this way... but sheesh... self composting toilet? that's taking it a bit far.
How many earthquakes has Arkansas ever had anyway?
Well I am up now It was a bad night but I did get off at 2 am instead of 4 its a nice day today so I am sure I will be there until 4 am it is cold I don't think my feet will ever warm up
The rain must have come down in buckets last night and some of those Truck divers didn't even care that it was a working zone and speed though jerks You wood think that with bad weather and everyone going slow it wood help. But I am hopping maybe 1 or 2 more nights this is really messing me up.
All this week its going to be in the 50 so carharts again tonight or my flannel jean with jeans and long underware well I have to go eat so you all have a great day will talk latter
Flaming Kim
Stacey, that blanket is so cute! I know that Riley will love it to cuddle in! You did an excellent job on your first sewing project!
I have read the first 30 pages, and so far it is very interesting story. I am off to read the rest, as soon as I catch up on all the threads here!
Sorry to hear about your windows leaking. Hope you get it fixed soon.
Kim, don't get a cold, getting your feet wet. Take care.
Crissy, hope they can figure out the safe plans before it hits them in the face! Some people can never learn anything!
LK
Raining Cats and Dogs here most of the night....not so heavy now but still coming down.
We are lucky, Jaye, no signs of the flu here yet....but I worry about the kids...Shawn and Lisa leave for Chicago tomorrow morning.....really don't like the idea of them traveling with all of this going around.
Stacey and Deborah, Beautiful blanket!!! Looks very warm and cozy!!
Great job on your first quilt Stacey. I'm sure it will be very loved...
It's not my boss coming up with this crap, it's the paranoid women! I think it's hilarious, oh, and I'm serious about the 4-wheeler!

Hi wanted to check in,I don't feel the greatest ,I'm moving what I had planted at the place in town. The BIMBO that is buying it on land contract doesn't want some of the flowers and stuff there. She is going to tear it all out.I about died when I walked around to the back yard yesterday there. We had a Concord Grape Arbor, this vine produced grapes the next year after I had planted it and it was 8 years old.WAS 8 years old, they tore it down,GONE NOTHING! I was so upset! So I got my Magic Lilies and Peonies and Autumn Joy Sedum, which was almost totally gone, there was 3 small clumps left ,Lemon Balm,Choco Mint. And Rick is going tonight to get a small Snowball Bush. But I still have more lemon Balm,Choco Mint,so I pray that what I got takes. There is Orange Daylilies(those tiger lily I think),single and double,Daffodils.I hurt so bad,I have been living on pain pills the DR gave me,I try to not take them.Yesterday every muscle in my body was hard and had the jitters, had to end up taking 2 nerve pills for the muscles to stop quivering. And once they did OMG...I am in so much pain.Mona I don't know if this happens to you ,as they say each one is affected different. But if you have ever had a Charlie Horse in the Calf of your leg...and then after it releases your calf is so sore.Well picture that being your body.I have been getting so every night my lower back and hips can't move without intense pain and my shoulders and between my shoulder blades.Last night Rick rubbed liniment on my back and for him to just touch me towards the end I cried it hurt so bad.Sorry to go on and on...But maybe later after another pain pill I will be up to my old Semi-painful self.....LOL.
Good Grief Synda! I've had a charlie horse in my left hip real deep by the joint the past week but that's bad. Maybe a long hot bath with bath salts and some muscle relaxers would do the trick.
That is what the Fibromyalgia does. It's a muscle and nerve disease and it has something to do with the brain and how thing are computed. But I do take a lot of hot baths ,I've take 4 and 5 a day at times.
It's hot outside!!! But I'm in my 'green' zone, where I want to get those plants in the ground, a la BJ!!! So excited to have this much energy just don't tell my doctor please. The meds are supposed to slow me down... but I feel so alive today!!! Now, don't you all worry.. I take breaks, sit my hiney for a spell and drink, drink, drink!
Still got more to plant, must save some fun for tomorrow!
Crissy, self compost toilet?? I've seen those in brochures.. and Kel's doing that in the woods already!!! Certainly your boss has been reading too many survival magazines. Gosh, imagine the mayhem you face at work everyday.. you certainly need that trip to Mexico. Hope the epidemic is gone by then.
Hello Sistah Deborah. Yep, Stacey sure did an excellant job on that quilt! So proud of her. A woman of many talents, and she does them all well!! Can you please post what we need for a butterfly garden here, again. My file went to cyber dump :(
Maid M... again, I'm so glad you are getting pro help. I'm sure you got your list ready for them, and will you be removing some trees too?
Thank God you're spared of the tornados BJ. Those were too close for comfort!!
Never been through a tornado here, BJ. Don't want to. Hurricanes are bad enough, and Austria doesn't have it neither. Didn't he say they have avalanches there? That must be horrifying too. And tell him too that we do have active volcanoes somewhere along the West coast..
Poor Kim.. back to the grind and facing challenging weather. Still you're comforted in knowing your sacrifice is for your home! Sweet sistah, for those inconsiderate drivers, give them the finger!!!! There!
Trisha, I'm not kidding when I say we are already wearing the masks
Kel got some with a charcoal filter, and he's just recovered from a cold. According to the news, there's no reason for mass panic.. but it all depends on YOUR environment and I know my resistance is low.
I'm sure, a little sniffle will send Shawn and Lisa to the doctor, just to be careful.
Yep, LK, I'm glad to be able to resume my normal pc activity, without every 10 minutes, cleaning up the files!!! Right now, this pc is 'fortified' with 2 new anti virus programs. The others I was using had kinks in their armors!
Poor you Synda. I get those pains in my feet, face and shoulders.
You need to get you a hot tub!
I just don't understand some people. Totally understand your wrath.
My gf sold her old house and was happy thinking the new owners would appreciate the garden she had established for 15 years... Nope. They razed all the roses down, even the antique ones... then this giant elephant ears that grew past the roof of the house.. the banana trees and especially the old persimmon trees. All they wanted was a green lawn :( How sad is that?
See me later..

I am so mad!!!! First I have the co-op from hell. Then today Chris goes to work and stops to get gas. He calls to tell me his card was declined. So I look online at our acct and we are like $1700 in the hole, $400 worth of NSF. We were missing a deposit from when I cashed out our stock last week. I call the stock place and they said that that since the money they set to transfer didn't cover the wire fee, it got rejected as not enough $$. They never emailed, never called. I made sure that they did it this time when I was on the phone and just checked my bnk and it is in there, but I had to talk to the mgr to get them to return the fees to me. Now I have to go to the bank tomorrow and get a statement of the NSF fees, write a letter of explanation, and fax it over to them, wait 2 days, then go into my online acct and transfer the money to my checking acct-I SWEAR!! Will it never end:( UGH-I am going to take a shower and try to relax
Stacey, that's too much money for your 'brokers' to act irresponsibly!!
I will definitely create a fuss for having caused all those NSFs. I hope the bank will work with you.
BJ we have had several come right over the house, especially last year, one hit 3 miles from the house in an area that had never been hit before. Scary I'm not used to the tornadoes either, but I'm getting there!
Jaye these women in this office can get ridiculous, the bosses just follow suit and laugh about it on the QT, usually I'm laughing with the bosses and the women are still freaking out. I have a feeling this epidemic will be down to a dull roar by then, I am afraid that they're not going to let me back in the office after I get back though! LOL
Jaye-it will take about a week, but they will reimburse me for the NSF's-I was so mad though-no communication on their part about it not going through-I mean come on!!I am going to take a shower and grab a drink-If I don't calm down, more hair will start falling out from the stress
Crissy, when you come back ,and go to work buy some of those Doctors masks and hand them out to those women..........LOL.
Stacey, that is so bad of them to do that to you! I would be a little on the B*****y mood too! Hope you get it fixed soon.
Jaye, what re you planting. I just got 50 cloeus plants in the ground yesterday, in the new Angel garden. It will be so pretty when it all fills in.
Crissy, check with your people you booked your trip on. Some cruises to Mexico are being cancelled!
Synda, hope your feeling better soon.
LK
Thanks Linda Kay
LOL Synda!! "Here's your gift from Mexico!" At my last job whenever we went on vacation it was a 'requirement' that we bring something back for your co-workers, they don't do that here, thank Goodness!
I was on it yesterday and it wasn't cancelled yet. It may not be, we don't leave from New Orleans until May 16th, get to Progresso, Madrid (I think) on May 18th.
