Good morning!!
Sorry ladies, I'm still using this old machine, and have to delete temp. files after each site visited, so it gets to be exasperating! Do you know Yahoo has 135 temp. files on just one page, without ever navigating anywhere? Sheesh.. after a couple of sites, my pc gets bogged down and need resuscitating! The geek expert says that I'll have my regular pc Monday. So for now, you'll see very little of me. Don't you all worry, Cody always check in on me :D

Maid M., you are right, that is a Rose of Sharon, in the malva/hibiscus family. I am just surprise that some tropicals here emerge faster like the hedychiums even with the 3 day blanket of snow. But I have my casualties too. 2 giant elephant ears, a giant crinum and I think ALL my passifloras are gone. I thought maybe my hedychiums would be too cause they're true tropicals. But those that didn't survive had just been planted last year, and not truly 'root-hardened' like the others.. that had been in the ground for as long as I'm here.

I figured I had better check in becaus ethe internet will be shut off along with the house phone sometime tomorrow and with everything gong on tomorrow I know I wont be online..

everything is pretty much done except for a few lttle thing and we are taking our parrot to its new home this afternoon. We pick up the truck at 8 am tomorrow load up and then after we nap for a bit we will be driving all night to get home.. I m so excited I can barely stand it.

My husband used to let the( My Step) kids eat all that stuff why diving 7 hours after the first trip only natural things when they got to there grandmothers They could it what ever they wanted to.

promise not to do much today. for first time since last May we have a working string trimmer. got so much to do with it today! but that's mostly going to be randall this morning.

Who sent the heat wave our way?? it's possibly going to hit a new historical high today. usually around 72, going to be 92. if it gets to 93 it's a record.

tiller man is coming at 11:30. I have to go remove a few plants in his way (edging plants to the iris bed likely to be run over). Randall wants me to find a new place for all my new composters. which will involve using trimmer to make space. BIL Brad returned my truck last night, so when tiller man is done, must help go pick up mower.

yesterday another man came by to estimate fixing/replacing that pool support retaining wall. got my fingers crossed. he told us all that storm debris tossed over the wall by the former tenants and owners now has to be removed. that's probably going to involve SNAKES. yuck.

irises are blooming, so I gotta get busy crossing them. NOT going to overdo it today with this heat. am too out of shape from sitting for months.

Yes Linda Kay ,Rick is a God send to me.......it's funny how they say an abused child we be a child abuser,But Rick can't stand any turmoil.He went totally the opposite way.Yes he was terribly abuse,mentally and physically growing up ,by more than one person,an entire family.


Slept with the windows open all night...so warm and serene,I'd know couldn't get to sleep until 5am.I did work out in the yard and my back and legs...oh my.If you ever have had a charlie horse in you calf and the sore afterwards,well that is how my back and entire legs feel.Took a pain pill hope it kicks in soon,have lots more to do.


And Donna and family be safe,the weather is gorgeous here.
