This winter has really hit me hard. But as long as I can take a pain pill and move.I'm going to be outside. That totally changes my out look on life.Last summer was a bad on and then winter.Last summer on june 1st there was a motorcycle wreck in our front yard and I hurt my back getting out of the way. Then July 25th a very close and dear friend was murdered, and then August 5th my mommma and stepdads apartment complex was struck by lightening and burned.Way too much stress.I am still having a hard time with Tad being killed,no one has even been charged yet.He died on his birthday and he was only 39 with 4 kids.

Sounds like it has been a pretty rough year. I am amazed at how long it can take to bring charges in some cases.....sometimes years......I guess all we can do is take it one day at a time.
Hey, I saw Stacey posted on the Swaps thread today!!!! Is she going to come back and talk to US soon??? We sure do miss her.......

Morning All,
I spent all day yesterday working on the front side yard. Still have lots more to do. Today I will be inside finishing the geeky critters. I'm working on a butterfly, dragonfly and a frog. Hope they turn out ok.
Sorry to read all the bad things that have happened and those of you having to deal with depression. That has been Rick's problem these past few months. He is out of his Welbrutrin both for quitting smoking and depression. But now that he has wood to finish the Barbie doll house he is in a better mood.
I will draw names this afternoon, if no one else is going to sign up!
LK
Morning Cindy, love that little bed frame you have for a flower bed! That is so cute!

Cindy it is hard to tell, but maybe a close to the candian, or crimson?
LK
Yes Stacey has been posting in some threads. She will be very busy Fairy today. She is having her packing get together for the echies co-op. I'm so excited more flowers to plant. I have echies, begonias and lilies coming. Look at all the room I have to plant then too.
Very pretty Cindy
I received a lot of Colubine seeds in a swap but no names just what colors :(
You will be a very busy gardener for sure!
If she is keeping busy with some plants, that will help her too!
Gardening just seems to be good for the soul.
LK
She has also been doing some writing. She is writing a book. Oh geez I forgot what she said I need to go back to the co-op forum and read what she said. I think she will be back with us shortly. Right Stacey, ^_^ ????
I saw that on her facebook, I asked her for an autographed copy when it is done! LOL
LK
Well need to get busy.........will stop in now and again........(breaks.....LOL)
Good Morning Glory! don't anyone pass me coffee. 2nd day in a row I didn't partake, and 2nd night in a row I slept like a babe. just started drinking it last year - guess that'll teach me...
on my way for a compost load, just checking in.
Bon you can you drink decafe?
Morning all! Don't work too hard in the gardens today!
LK
I'll have Bonnie cup of coffee please. Once again, Kim shorted the coffee pot. Gonna have a serious talk with that girl!!! Absolutely no way to treat her "aging mother".
Headed for 86 here but so far the morning is cool and fantastic. Plan to work outside a little today but then back to throwing out more things I have procrastinated doing for a while.
Cindy, yikes at all the work you have been doing. Going to be really nice when you finish. Let's think on that a minute: finished? Are we ever finished with our yards? Ha! who are we kidding...but atleast it sounds good. Right?
Cody, my sister in south Florida has trouble with coyotes and her cats! She has a 12' high fenced in area for her cats but somehow they manage to get into the pen. No idea how they do it. As a result she nows "rounds" them up at night and locks them on her screened porch. No small job considering the number of cats she has. Gives new meaning to the phrase "Crazy Cat Lady".
Jaye, how is Kel doing? Yourself? Whatcha busy working on at this time----other than the plants? That is at the top of everyone's list at this time. Hope the smoke from the fires goes away soon. I know how fierce that can be.
Trisha, hang in there. Most of us are in the same situation with depression. I was put on meds about a year after hubby was diagnosed with the aggressive cancer.
Atleast my dosage has been cut down but nevertheless, I still need them. If that is what it takes to function--so be it!! Just know you have company and we do understand the challenge.
Thanks LK,all four of my mallards are doing today.Praise the lord they made it through the night.I'm going to get two more babies from my friend that i got them from today. We are also going to get our geese today. One day i will get another Drake.
LOL!!!Marion, the crazy cat lady.
Good day all. Trying to be cheery today. The pc is so heavily infected I might as well get another!
Cody, you can hear coyotes at night, cause they'll make these banshee screaming sounds that will make your hair stand!
Maid M.. Kel's on the mend, thanks. We did go to the beach this morning, and drove through smoke again.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could stand on our head and relieve the fluids from our ears?? Lol!! NO, please don't try that acrobatic act.. you might have to see a specialist. Take good care please.
Synda and Trisha all medicine manufacturers their own self contained program. E.G. if one of your meds made by Pfizer, go to their website and look for prescription assistance. And if you're without insurance that is an advantage.
My time here is limited, due to this old pc.. so I'll see you soon.
Hugs to Bonnie, Cindy, LK and anyone whom I've missed.
Yea Jaye,it was either that or an owl.I hope they will stay safe.
Oops! Jaye, to late! Now I need to see a chiropractor!! Can't you just visualize an "old" lady standing on her head? Go ahead and laugh--Kim did!!!!!
Smoke like that is horrible. I can remember all to well when we were in Gainesville and everything was burning. Wouldn't you know it the a/c broke and we were forced to open the windows--not for long. Decided to go to a motel at night in order to get some rest--Ross was still working at the time. I really feel bad for those with breathe problems ie: asthma.
What gives with all our computers this year? Mine crashed on me in February just when I was at a critical point on the program. I think they have this "build in" timer that says: NOW!!!!!!
Cody glad the remaining babies are well and safe...
We have sun today but still a bit on the cool side....I am so ready for the really warm weather...I'll gripe that it is too hot but I still prefer the heat over the cold!!
Don't forget to post your critters on the Polymer Clay thread as you get them finished! Did you go look at the site that Sharran posted.....all of the fantastic clay "Quilt Jewelry" !?!?! I have never done canes.....between BJ's beautiful work and Sharon pushing me, I guess I am going to have to at least try it one of these days.
Most of the day will be spent helping Bill today....twice a year the Down Town has what they call Art Walk.....most of the businesses are open late. Each business displays some kind of Art from kids drawings to local artist, to quilts, bicycles you name it. They print up a program, each store has a number and you can follow the numbers walk around as see all of the art in the various participating stores.....it is fun...the only down side is heaven help you if you need to drive through down town between 4 and 11 on Friday and 4 to 7 on Saturday! The bike shop is displaying an antique bike collection and some of Bill and our friend Corry's handbuilt bikes.....and as is typical Bill didn't mention until late last night that he needs information sheets typed and some woodworking done on some display stands...gonna strangle the boy one of these days when he pulls this last minute stuff on me...if I ever end up in jail you will know what happened!
He is just lucky I got my medication yesterday. Thanks Jaye that is good information....but our problem has not been the medication itself....my script is only $7 at Costco ($30-50 at Safeway).....the issue has been affording the appointment to get someone to write the prescription. When we had insurance my Psyc visits were $112....well over $200 with out insurance. Now that our Employers don't pay the insurance we don't make enough to afford it out of our check, but we make too much to get any of the assistance programs. To get a new prescription would generally require a doctors visit ($80-100)....they decide you might need it but will have to refer you to the specialists and on and on for several hundred $$ before you can finally get the prescription you need. Laura called and talked to Susie (she has seen Susie in the past and my son and future DIL currently see her). She just asked the usual questions over the phone and had Laura stop by and pick up the prescription for me....what a relief......so wonderful to be able to do something and not sit around in tears feeling like I have bucket over my head.....
I feel really sorry for people like this friend of ours who suffers all the symptoms of Clinical Depression but refuses to see anyone and take any medication for it....he isn't depressed...he doesn't need medication, it turns you into a zombie (only if you are on the wrong meds!) It is so sad because he would be a much happier person if he would just get treatment, and he would be a much more pleasant person to be around. Oh well, guess I should just worry about my problem and let him be miserable, but it is difficult when I know how much good minimal treatment would do.
Well Dog says I have spent enough time here right now and we need to go out and enjoy some sunhine....Later!
Todays Email from my Uncle Randy:
A dog had followed his owner to school.
His owner was a fourth grader at a public elementary school. However, when
the bell rang, the dog sidled inside the building and made it all the way
to the child's classroom before a teacher noticed and shooed him outside,
closing the door behind him. The dog sat down, whimpered and stared at the
closed doors. Then God appeared beside the dog, patted his head, and said,
'Don't feel bad fella'...they won't let Me in either'..
Trisha, so glad to hear your feeling better, and back on your meds. Yes I agree, there are far too many people out there untreated!
Enjoy your sunshine!
Cody, looke like you have them all safe and sound. Nice job!
LK
Thanks Trisha and LK.
Mama Jaye, when i get my birthday present i will let you know.Love Ya!!
Hello All,
Sorry I have been MIA... I have been weeding out my flower beds and putting mulch down.. I still have a few more spots to do... It is 80 here already today... So long as the humidity stays away I am happy... I have also been cutting my inside plants down so I have more room for the new babies coming up...
I have not been able to read all of what has been going on but I hope you all have been doing good... I did see a few duck pictures and they are to cute... I use to have two blue Swedish ducks and they were to funny... I had a very hard time keeping them from being eaten along with the chickens so I had to give them to another person but they gave them a good home and we also had to do the same with the chickens... Ours was a family of red foxes doing all the killing.. I made them pets instead of animals so it hurt me to much to see so many get killed....
Ok back to playing with my plants then hubby and I are going to get some mulch for our son.... Talk to you all later...
Hugs,
Susan
Hey Susan, about time you poked that head out! How are you all doing?
Have a great week-end!
LK
