Yes, I am finished. Had to take Kim to get her car as it was serviced to so we ate dinner out tonight. Came by Lowe's --oh big, no huge mistake!!! I ordered some of the stacking planters on the coop a couple of weeks ago and they arrived today. It is going to take a lot of plants to fill those babies up!! They are nothing short of huge--that's okay I love them anyways.

Are you going to Tennessee by yourself or is Larry going with you? Should be lovely this time of year or is it to late for the spring blooms. Probably is as now I do remember going in early April when the Kim and I drove up.

No idea where they are. Might still be involved with dinner.

I'm goiing with Scott and his girlfriend Heather. Its her birthday and Scott wanted to treat her to rhe mountains. Shes never been.

i imagine all the spring blooms are just starting.

Oh that really sounds like a fun trip! I guess I will be going to Lake City for a cookout. A couple on the festival committee has just built a new home and they are having a party so think Kim and I will attend. It won't be long now and we will go on our adventure. Are you ready?

Bonnie, sure hope they figure out what is causing your problem.
I am just the opposite....I know exactly what my problem is but with no insurance can't afford to do anything about it. Don't make enough to pay for insurance.....make too much to get help from any of the programs to help the uninsured.

Hi Deborah.....I am going to try and sink the bowl a bit more, think there might still be 1/4 to 1/2 in left under the bowl...I like it , I just wish it was a tiny bit smaller..........I made the bench, the bird bath, the birdhouse, the gazing ball and the stepping stones......

Cody love the ducks......wish I lived out of town where we could have animals...or wildlife....I would love to have wild ducks and geese, deer, racoons and all of that visit my property.....I have always been an animal lover.

Jaye did you ever do the Tea Eggs where you crack the shells on the boiled eggs and simmer them in tea and 5 spice ?? I liked those a lot.

Hi Lisa, glad to see you posting. Happy to hear things are doing well.

I'm alright... really... I'm a tough ole bird... it'll take a lot more than a dead tree limb to get me down... Kinda put me out of commission for about a half hour when it happened... but then I just went on about the day's business.

Actually... Don said the piece that hit me was only about a foot long and about 3" in diameter... so, it could have been worse if he hadn't cut that end of it off first.

I felt good enough to take Mike out on the jet skis this evening, and Don got some pictures. First pic here is Mike leaving our cove... let me explain a couple things about this pic first. That thing you see next to his mouth is a speaker. Don and I always wear a headset attached to walkie talkies. It's a safety measure... when you're throtled up on those things, it's loud... and you can not hear someone trying to yell at you. So, this way we can communicate on the water. Also... what Mike is doing here is jumping the noodles. We have those swim noodles strung across our channel to help catch the debris off the lake from floating in. When we leave the channel on the jet skis, we have to throttle up to get the nose in the air to jump the noodles.

Then, Don crossed the street and caught us out in the deep water side of the neighborhood.

I have been trying to finish up the last bit of sewing that I had to get out for the re-enactment, can't remember where it's going to be, but had to have these dresses and aprons finished by Wednesday, and I wanted to have some 'down' time this weekend to finish getting our pool up. So I've been trying to get that sewing done since I got in off the bus! Just put the last dress in the box.
Happy Birthday, Anniversary, and whatever else I have missed today. Sounds like you all had a good time without me. lol
Synda, I agree, anytime you work with a hubby, wear football helmet, gloves, shin guards, and, yes, even a suit of armor would be a big plus. lol

Lake City! that's exactly about 30 miles west of where I live! It's a beautiful little town. sorta 'sits' on a slight knoll. Now that they got a new HD, I like to shop out there instead of Jacksonville. LC has a Lowe's , HD, and huge Wal-mart, Tractor Supply and even a bowling alley!
Cordeledawg, the irises should be in full bloom in Tn. would love to see some. I think they are so pretty, and have always loved them. Those and lilacs. Oh how I miss the lilacs. They just won't grow here in N.E. Florida. I have tried and tried. guess it just gets to hot.
But you have a safe trip and enjoy. Gatlinburg is beautiful. I also miss the mountains. I grew up in the foothills of the Appalachians, but I have lived on flat land for over 30 years now. I still love going home.

Bj, looks like he was born to ride the jet ski's. Look like you were both having a great time on them!
Just remmeber, if I show up for the week-end, I get first dibs on them!!! LOL

it was wonderful seeing my friend again, and we had a delightful supper at a salad bar. went to Big Dogs because she loves that store at the Outlet Shops. they had a 50% off everything sale. she found PJs, I found Randall a new swimsuit for only $12. had no trouble driving, but did have to take Motrin as this concuss still is SORE. today was so busy, haven't had time to sit and look through your posts, and I'm having withdrawal! so looking forward to gardening tomorrow and taking breaks to read.

Thanks Trisha,it was funny today.I bought them a swimming pool.When we got home i put water in it,well the two oldest females climb the steps and got in .Well the male tried to get in from the side and couldn't.He would not evening climb the steps to get in.Later on they where doing their duck talk and moving their heads back and fourth.Then he made it in the pool and one of the girls got out and he mated the other one in the pool.So he mated two times that i was out their today and it was so funny.So i can't wait to see if i have any eggs out their tomorrow.

I imagine they are happy to have more water to swim in......sounds like you are going to have fun.

Linda Kay, that is a heck of a great photo! but it's COOOOOLD this morning. Yesterday was very windy. about blew my truck off the road. while I was gone, someone kept upping the heat inside (Ruth?) got too hot, then someone (Randall) turned it off. I'm not staying in this chair to type, gotta get up and move before my lips turn blue. the things my crew does when I'm not here.....

didn't have a drop of coffee yesterday and guess what? wonderful night's sleep! feeling better today in the head....think I might have to go outside to get warm though.

Oh Linda Kay, it is going to take a "bank loan" to buy enough plants to fill these babies!! They said big on the site but duh! I didn't realize how big, big was!! Now I know. Will post pictures when I get them set up. Still going to be few days as the dizzies from the ear aren't gone. Seem to have trouble getting the fluid taken care of--oh well another day or so.
