Oh MY Will I be second I am done with the work at the olsd house now the new Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Kim, you are first!! I don't count!
Please tell me you still have energy left to cook dinner!
I know you must have a list on what else you need for your home.
So proud of you!
Congratulations Kim At least now everything you do will be for you... Have fun with it and take your time and enjoy it. The only person you need to please is yourself!!!!
Hi Barb! Have you started on any patterns yet?
Time to exit.. Kel's restless.
See me later sistahs!
Thanks for the new room Jaye. Beautiful flowers!
LK
Cindy, Did I read early, that Rick has no job? I thought you said about a week ago, that he had a new one?
Hope he finds a job soon. They are hard to get now a days.
LK
LK, yep he has been laid off since Jan 2. He work under the table for 3 days. This may be a new job but, they have 27 bids out and are just waiting for an ok. So he is back to working on the Barbie doll house. I'm finishing the geeky birds for Mom's bowling banquet then I will be busy working on the Barbie furniture and wardrobe.
It's way to hot (90) to be outside planting so I've postponed it until Thurs it will be 78.
The picture is of Rick's roses. He can't remember their name.
Well, before I left to go pick Mike up for his dr appt, I held my hands under the cold water faucet... that felt good. Then I squirted some lotion, and rubbed it in on the way to the car... was in a hurry. They burned all the way to the school, then on the way back I could tell they weren't as bad, and sitting at the doctor's office, they quit burning altogether... still a bit reddish pink, but at least they're not burning. Jaye, I had on my Atlas gloves that Stacey sent me... been wearing them for a month now, and working in all the same stuff outside... but today is the only day this happened.
They were in the washing machine while I was gone... just took them out to dry... so, we'll see if it happens again... I have a pair of cheap ones to wear so I can get this project done this evening after the sun quits bearing down at 90*.
Mike and Don just went out on the lake with the jet skis... his maiden voyage... he's so excited...
Trisha... that little gnome garden is so adorable...
Jaye... I have some of those weeds blooming in my yard too... but I don't photograph them... I pull them up... LOL
My clematis started blooming back in February... this is the first time it's ever given such a show... and we planted them 4 years ago... was the first thing we planted when we moved here.
Got to go get dinner ready now... SYL
Hi Jaye - I finished the baby quilt and a table runner for my daughter. I have all the blocks done for the Glutton swap and am getting ready for the apron one. Need a pattern though. I want to make one - not buy one. I got a pattern to knit dishrags and made my first one this afternoon. So easy to make and will go well with an apron!!!
How are your aprons coming along??? It seems to me Cody is always asking!!
did you think to ask them at the doc's office, bj? darn, wish you had - it sounds like a chemical burning or allergic demititis reaction, which would more likely have been to a plant.
I can't remember, did you say it only started burning after you dried your hands on the towel, or while you were washing them? if it was while washing, it does sound like the water triggered chem reaction. if it was after you dried, sounds like there was something on that towel.
I agree - aloe and ice.
got home a bit ago, from taking Ruth to eye dr. didn't take pills, so I could drive. now I'm really hurting, so 1/2 vicadin. hope that's enough.
had a lovely day, but I'm wiped.
hope Kel gets better
that blue bowl was purrrfect in that minigarden, it's so darling!
darn Randall. I want ducks and chickens, and we could have them here.
BJ, those weeds were weeded post pics. Just can't help capturing their beauty digitally.
I use Atlas gloves too, and nothing seem to permeate through them. Weird BJ. Got to be the latex that's wearing off if you wore them that long?
Cindy, those roses are so pretty. I have some blooming and it used to be Tropicanna. Now it's back to the original parent stock that it's grafted from. Just a polyantha.. no longer a hybrid tea.
Trisha, I misunderstood.. thought you're putting a regular size pond in your yard, not your miniature garden! Looks like one lined with Spanish tile.. so pretty.
Well.. all is left is to press it then mail it to her, Barb. Unfortunately, when it's beautiful outside, I rather be in the garden. Cody has been so patient, don't worry, she'll get it before 25th April 2010!!!
I need to set a deadline.. or just tell Kel that I'll stay home for the next few weeks.. not be on the road with him!
But I sure can use BJ's and Marilyn's vigor to get to the rest!!!
L@@K ----- I'm off to press your apron Cody :D
You can do it Jaye - I know you can. Rah Rah Rah Does a cheering section help motivate????
Jaye... the vigor is wearing out here... I'm almost wore out... good thing, cause I'm almost done outside too... sheesh... guess I didn't realize that I let so much go last year when I was soooo sick. After these vines, and those blueberries... I'm not planting anything else this year. I've got some trimming and weeding in a couple more beds, and spread some leaf litter... then the rest of the summer is going to be "maintenance" only.
We can't have livestock or poultry here... in the city limits... but if we could... I think I'd have a few chickens... just to mess with. Like I need one more thing to mess with... sheesh. NOT.
Mike is ecstatic about the jet ski ride... he didn't get it up to full speed, and the water was smooth as glass... but neither did I my first time... He's still all grins tonight.
Hands haven't started burning again. It could have been something on that dish towel... it's what I'm thinking too, Trisha... funny though... I've never had a reaction like that before.
Everyone's belly is full, I finished preparing the beds to plant the vines tomorrow... so, now I think I'll go get my shower... and settle down in front of the tv for a while... I'm feeling my age tonight.
Night Bj, take care of those hands. Glad to hear they are feeling better. Sounds like Mike had a great time on the jet ski? Did you get the meds refilled? LOL
Cindy those roses are beautiful!
Bon, get a good nights rest, and go see the doc i n the morning!
Coy, did you get the ducks today?
LK
LOL Jaye the past couple of days I've been wishing I did live with them, then I wouldn't get so mad when they don't do their jobs at their job!
BJ I'm glad to hear your hands are feeling better. Hopefully just something mild.
I bet Mike is excited, waiting to go again!
See ya soon, hopefully tomorrow!
Night everyone!
I'll put the timer on the coffee, it will be ready when you all get up!
LK
Glad your hands are feeling better BJ.........sounds like Mike had a great time!! My cousin always had jet skis when he lived up on Lake Texhoma.....good thing to have....he and a friend have a framed award and news article from several years ago for rescuing some people in bad storm whose boat was sinking and they were stranded....no one else would go out to help them....don't remember the whole story...
Good night everyone.....tomorrow is another day.........
If you aren't already....leave the ducks alone and go to bed Cody....
Jaye and Barb, you girls are funny.
Yes,LK,we got the ducks.I will take pictures later and post.
LOL!!!!Trisha,good night.
Thank you Synda - that is beautiful and did put asmile on my face. Have a great day too..
Oh thank goodness there is coffee!! Can just anyone sneak in the backdoor for a cup? Love the post synda, what a nice way to start the day. Barb are you always an early riser? I sure haven't been lately--if I even got up!! Today is a new day so I am up and rearing to go--well, sort of rearing that is.
hey sis jaye. my roses and one lilly are blooming, as well as a few other things. if i can keep the turkey and goat out of my flowers i'll take pics. later
Well hello Kathy!!! More turkeys? Ok, read about the goat for the hurricane--what kind?
Marion, I'm up around five every morning. I need my coffee and news and then I'm set for the day. Today it's grandchildren. They are on school vaca this week but Mom has to work so they are with us. No trouble, they are both good boys and actually listen. It may rain later but I hope not. They like the outside. Enjoy your day....
Well, looky whose here! Marion ans Kathy, two of the missing Sistah's! So glad to see you!
Hope you are doing well?
LK
I used to to the 5 o'clock thing but not in the past few years. Funny how you can adjust to sleeping later after many, many years of getting up early--found it no trouble at all. LOL Enjoy your grandchildren, Barb.
Morning Linda Kay. Better, still having trouble with my ear and dizziness (other than the normal blonde thing) but the doctor assures me it will go away! I want it now not later!!
Too many of you have the dizzies! Marion, Bon... Hope your both feeling better soon!
So glad to see youposting though.
Kathy how are those little birds, and goats, and all your critters doing? We have not see any pictures of them in awhile.
Coffee is on! Help your self. Fresh fruit is on the counter.
LK
^_^ Synda, see my smile! I feel the same way about you sistahs and nieces! Nuthin' but love.
Can one overdose on Benadryl and Zicam? Allergies were so bad last night that normally Benadryl would have knocked me out, but had to follow with a dose of Zicam. Talk about immediate relief! Didn't even hear Kel snoring for the first time in a long while! :D
Sis Kathy, goat meat or mutton is good eating yea! Just don't tell Hurricane Pam that!
Hey Maid M! So glad to see your lovely self in here. Don't put yourself in any situation that might cause you to aggravate those dizzy spells like standing up abruptly..
Thanks for the coffee LK. I have this bottle of sugar free raspberry syrup to add to the coffee, want some?
Barb, thanks for those cheers.. I am ready to do the next one now!!
See me later everyone.
Jaye, that sounds good. Holding out cup.
Yep, I agree, don't over do anything. Just pull up a comfy chair, and take it easy!
Supposed to be 99 degrees! So I will be back later, I need to do the watering before it gets too hot.
LK
DRUM ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm on my way to Curves, but I just wanted to share with you my results from my weigh in yesterday. I've lost another 6 pounds and 4 inches which brings the total to 8 pounds and 9 inches in two months, ^_^. I'm loving it, so I'm out the door for a workout then back up to Mom's just for the day to finish final money payouts. Then back to working on Geeky Birds.
TTYL
LOL, oh I know about that standing up quickly already. Duh, what can I say? I am not so sure it was the sinus, ear or the cost of the meds that actually put me down!!! WOW is all I can say. That shock alone will make you get well quicker.
Trumpet blast please.........I have someone to do the clean up. Guess I need to rephrase that--the clean up is done, leaves so thick they had to be bagged which almost put me back in the bed!!! I hate that. Limbs all gone, grass cut and then to top it off we had a nice rain last night. Makes me want to work outside today but I was given a stern lecture from my DD about that before she left for work. Shucks.
99 already Linda Kay? We are looking at 80ish today but it is still cool in the mornings. I love this type of weather.
Well, need to go get some of the fruit you put out for us. Can't wait to enjoy some.
Praise Report:
Cindy has had a successful surgery. Thank you sistahs for praying for someone that many of you do not know. Please continue to pray for her recovery.
LK, I'm not looking forward to high temps. It's in the 80's here :(
Well, better than freezing temps!!
