Get a little blue bowl and put in a pond.

Oh that would look nice.
Cindy, love all the dolls, they are so pretty! I like the peek a boo doll too! Sounds like you have several week-end projects to do, the iris bed for Mom, the goldfish to be moved, the bleeding hearts to transfer...
Don't over do it!
Marilyn, I have to ask about the hair, and the lighter? I don't get that one.
Marion, where are you? Hope your doing OK, we have not heard from you in a few days?
Kathy, it is time for you to poke your head in here as well, and Stacey, girl if you are lurking, please know we all love you, and miss you dearly!
Good night everyone.
Sleep tight...
LK
Cindy what a beautiful Doll collection....it will be nice to have then all on display!
Night LK....
I made a stone bench and a gazing ball for the garden....need to find the right dish for the the pond.....probably should put some fish in the pond too.....
Marilyn, I got all teary reading your postings. Like most of you, I'm not pro-war, but pro our service people. We owe so much to them and their families, so we could get out of our homes everyday without fear of being bombed or attacked by unseen enemies.
In solidarity, for the soldiers, I'll wear red on Fridays, Synda. Thanks.
Only strong women can tolerate pink walls and flamingos! That's our Kim!!! I myself can't bear pink in fabrics!! One year, my mum had the whole living room walls done in pink with gray trim... I think that year was an uneventful one!!! The blue thing being a color to induce calming behaviour got to be a fallacy, Bonnie! All up to the characters of the residents.
Well, dad had it back to white for the following Muslim new year. Said it's too girly. And some men look good in pink shirts!! Lol!
Wow Cody.. there'll be a lot of planting with those cannas for sure. Did you get Ermine?
Such pretty dolls Cindy. I used to collect Madame Alexander dolls and gave them to my god daughter when she turned 8.
Trisha, a bridge will look good next to the stone cottage, with a troll under the bridge. Then you need to find you some mini dogs or cats. Or even a rooster sitting on the roof...
Off to bed.. see you all sistahs in the morning.
Maid M.. hope you get better. We miss you!

Hi Jaye,i don't think i got that one.
Hope you don't get sick if you was outside today.
Good night everyone!!!!
Okay, ladies, the hair and the lighter. The hair came in long packs and they braided it into their hair, dreadlocks, if you will. The lighter I found out , was to singe the ends of the synthetic hair to keep it from coming undone.
Like I say, I learned a lot while buying for them. But Hair was my biggest education. lol
Coffee is on ladies, and there are Krispy Kreme donuts and holes. sugar-free of course. You all have a great day and I will try to catch up with you all sometime later in it.

Good Morning!
Just wanted to check in, won't be on much this week due to busy at work and conference. Having a bad week and it started yesterday morning right when I got to work, it's gone downhill from there.
wahoo! Kathy bez here! 'Bout time! So you've got Pam a little zoo going on in the back yard, do you now? Ha Ha Yep she's spoiled. Plan to do the same with Riley.
That's great, Synda! Y'all keep in touch by visiting every chance you get.
Sorry you are having a lousy time at work Crissy. Here's hoping the remainder of the week gets better for ya.
I'll be heading to Gatlinburg TN to visit mama Thurs through Sunday. Linda Kay there's usually an antique car show in Pigeon Forge. I've never seen so many cars lining the streets as I have there. Unbelievable.
Mornin' Folks !!!
Whew... it's hot outside. Suppose to get in the 80's today, and the 90's tomorrow...
Don got 4 of the 5 things on his to do list yesterday... but I had to help him since all those thing had something to do with my to do list for yesterday too. Then, we wen't to Lowes to get fertilizer for the lower level lawn, and some ant granules... we'll Don saw some blue berry bushes and decided we need to grow more food. He bought 5 bushes. And I found some bower vines to plant by the brick wall to drape over the wall as it grows... I'm not giving it a trellis...
I'm planting my vines this morning... and Don is fixing the mower... when we were using it yesterday, he noticed that the blades didn't turn... He's gone to Lowes right now to get parts.
Got to pick Mike up at school at 2 today for a dr appt... no, he's not sick... the doc won't refill his acne meds without seeing him... he denied the refill at the pharmacy, because he has to see him first... we've been round and round on the phone about that... for Christs sake... its ACNE MEDS... not narcotics !!!!
Anyway... after his dr appt, Don's taking him out on the jet skis... poor Mike has been eyeing those little boats sitting out there long enough... he's been chomping at the bits to take a spin on the lake.
BTW... we woke up this morning and went to check on Dolly and her eggs... Dolly is no where to be found, and there's egg shells all over the boat... DARN... this is the 3rd year in a row she's tried to have babies for us... I can't even imagine what found those eggs on the boat.
Better get busy if I'm going to get these vines planted before the temp tops out...
BJ, if you have the latest birds and bloom magazine, they have a picture of a floating duck house the guy made. So sorry to hear about Dolly's eggs!

Morning Kathy!!! Bunnies, and Bunnies and Goats, Oh my! But I will bet she is a happy little one!
Crissy, Synda, Deborah waving to you all~~~~~~
BJ I am ready for that kind of weather.....we get low seventies today then back to our usual 40's and 50's for awhile longer.
Sorry about Dolly....but happy it was eggshells and not feathers that you found.
Got most of the front weeded out yesterday.....Antonio had a delay and won't get to work on the back until tomorrow.....oh, well, the best laid plans :(
Have almost finished the accessories for the Tiny Garden.....one more baking and I think I am finished.....except for the pond. Have a stone bench, stepping stones, a gazing ball and a birdbath so far....
Our monthly Church Luncheon today.....
I know Spring is here and Summer not far off.....the Swallows came back yesterday!!
Good Afternoon all. i missed the morning. not. was up until 5:30. could not sleep. and head is hurting a bit more.
but I got up earlier to call. got a doc's appt. for 11:00 tomorrow.
going to a RU up at Lake Julian (asheville) in ten days. getting excited. hope I'm up to doing the driving by then.
think I've finally figured out, the hurricane is a child, right? bunnies, AND a goat? LOL
Kathy, good to see you on here! I miss you. Randall has been having a rough morning of it downstairs (at work in his office). he's gone to take an expense check to the bank and pick us up some Chick fila
I'm missing a gorgeous day out here. about 30% of the irises have bloomstalks up and showing.
Kim, hang in there. a job keeps us going.
Hi all.. will be 'fluttering' through. Kel is sick :*(
Very rarely he's ill, like this is the first since last year.. He has a bad sinus infection, some congestion and is taking Zicam.
I think it's Phyllis that had posted of smearing Vick's in your nostrils to ward off pollen allergens? Well, I found Zicam has something similar to that besided the liquids. I'm trying that.
Not me this time Cody.. but thanks for worrying about me. You are just too precious!
Welcome back Sis Kathy! I have miss you so much!! This time of the year, you're always showing off your blooms and making ME jealous!!
We understand perfectly you got a new job as the ring master!!!
Hey Pam!!
LK, if you know Eddie and Gary.. maybe you'd like to try this.. for your Angel garden. Unfortunately my Dream Angel prefers shade.
http://www.worldofbrugmansia.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=19
BJ, maybe next time you'll both come up with a way to secure the eggs against predators bigger than the ducks. Got to be some neighbourhood dogs...
Time for work, Kim? But you'll be happy working this time and put up with more crap, cause you know it will be all for that beautiful home of yours!
Crissy, there'll be a bottle of Bailey's when you get back here. Just think that you're not living with your co-workers, and this too shall pass.
Oh my Deborah. I wish I could just take off and visit family! Give your mama a hug for us, and have a good time. I bet you'll be taking pics of Riley.. you'll be needing a suitcase just for that!
Trisha, you need one of those water wheel too for your garden. Oops.. you might need a bigger bowl by the time you're through!! And how about a bonsai tree tucked behind that cottage?
Bonnie, you know we'll be checking on you tomorrow. Yep you have more than a dozen worry warts here.
My blood sisters don't even know what we go through daily. And here, if I start saying "I don't feel good"... I got you all posting for me to take care and I bet if we were to live closer, there'll be lots of chicken soup exchange!!
Hi Marilyn, Synda, Donna, Cindy...........
(((((((((((((((Stacey)))))))))))))))))))))
((((((((((((Maid Marion))))))))))))))))))
Bj, this is the floating duck house I was telling you about! Bottom right hand corner. Maybe Don can look at it, and get some ideas?
Jaye, shame on you for showing that lovely site! I have not seen that one before. He has some beautiful brugs, but WOW, are they getting pricey! $75.00 per plant.
Need to save more pennies... LOL
LK

Poor me have about 30 of more brugmansias right now.I would run out of room to put them during the winter if i kept buying.HEHEHE!!!!!!
Cody, where do you have all your brugs? In the ground or in pots? Are they in the sun, or in the shade?
I have about 30 also, and 20 of them are in the new angel garden, but the other 10, I have in pots, and they get sun, until about 2 in the afternoon.
Love the brugs!
LK
Oooo... LK... that's too neat... I'm going to Lowes in a bit, and I'll have to look for that issue of birds and bloom. THANKS
Jaye, Don won't let me interfere with the eggs. He thinks that Dolly knows what she's doing, and she lays her eggs where she thinks they're safe. We think that last years eggs were gotten by a possum, because the neighbor had a problem with a possum at the same time. She trapped the possum, and took it to the animal control people... but that doesn't mean that there's not a lot of possums out there. Don't know what got them this year.
I don't know what I did, but my hands burn like fire. I had my gloves on this morning working on the beds for the vines. Took my gloves off, came in the house, and washed my hands... I always wash my hands first thing. Then, skin on my hands started burning... started on my fingers, then moved down to the palms of my hand. Well, I thought maybe I got some jalapeno pepper juice on the towel I used to dry with... so I tossed it in the wash and got out a new one... washed again, and they still burned. So, I thought it would just pass, and went on about my work. It progressively got worse while I was working. So, I thought maybe it's something in my gloves... maybe a chemical or something I was using yesterday... or something... heck, I don't know. So, I have them in the washer now... and my hands are red as fire and burning really bad.
Any clue from any of you?
I'm off to pick up the boy child for his dr appt... bbl.
BJ, put some lotion on them, or maybe some caladryl lotion, to help with the inflamation! How about some ice cold water?
LK
LK,they are all still in my greenhouse. They are in pots.I'm going to keep all mine in pots so i won't lose any during the winter.I will just set them out all over the yard.
Trisha,it will get out to you today. Thanks again.
I'm out of here.*POOF*
You might have gotten into some noxious toxic weeds, BJ. Yep, Caladryl might soothe your hands for now. Were you wearing cotton gloves? The 'sap' might have leaked through.
LK, "X" puts this up on eBay.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160327875084&_trkparms=tab%3DWatching
Dunno whether I'll be able to keep my promise if Alice puts up Alyse for sale.
I've been satisfied with her plants :D
This message was edited Apr 21, 2009 2:50 PM
Got an aloe plant BJ? That should help soothe your hands
Deborah.. that's one plant I need to have around here.
Jotting aloe down.. next one to purchase.
LK, Cody... my obsession with brugs went unchecked.. I'm whittling them down to manageable proportions this year. Too embarrass to tell you all how much I have. It's crazy and senseless, especially when I'm not selling them!!
So, I'll just stick to helping hybridizer friends and maybe just get one absolute must have orange triple.. that shouldn't be hard right? If I don't quit, I will be sacrificing a couple of trips :(
BJ I'd stick my hands in a bowl of ice water for a while and then rub them with triple antibiotic ointment.Or something for sunburn.
Jaye, you are a bad enabler! LOL
They are beautiful plants, but I just can't see spending that much for one plant! Hubby would come unglued! Maybe if they were bigger plants, 3 or 4 of us could pitch in, and then get cuttings from them, but I know some are protected, and you can't do that!
So I will just keep dreaming...
LK
You're a wise one LK! And you know we both have another expensive hobby!! Lol!!
As for doing a collective buy or bid.. that's not a bad idea. Just that we all live in different zones and whom do you trust NOT to kill the brug...
There are a few from another gardening site that put their resources together to bid on eBay. My pocket can't match theirs!!
