As I said Cody, I have had them before they are just Big Chicken eggs!!
I was raised around farms and ranches...we traveled a lot....lived in an Aleut Village in Alaska and Taiwan for a year...traveled there for 10 years.....learned to try a lot of different things....will try most "foods" once....as long as it doesn't move and doesn't bite back....found a very few things I won't eat....but I scare Cody to death if told you about those....will leave it to your imagination.
Go to bed Cody! Talk to you tomorrow sweetie!
Turtles,frog legs,cows tongue,pigs feet........ETC......LOL.
Y'all keep it down.. I'm trying to sleep here :D
Goose is good.. crispy duck skin to die for... chicken feet... yummy...
Go to sleep now!
Love cow tongue.. now I won't touch anything that's the last part to cross over the fence..
He he he.. gonna count lamb shank to put me to sleep!!
See ya in the morning.. turtle eggs for breakfast!
Night Jaye,sweet dreams..............of me..........LOL.
The one they were always trying to get us to try was...go to the market and have Snakes blood....or go to the mountains and have monkey brains.....Noooooo.....I will not do either of those....but I told our comptroller "Ok David when do you want to go I will eat any thing you eat?"....he had a meeting the next day with the brake company, the next day were meetings etc. for about a week ahead...I told him to just let me know......he never ever mentioned either of those things to me again.....he didn't want to eat those either!
Sorry we're keeping you up Jaye.....we will be quiet now...have a good night!
Morning Ladies !!!
Is a bright sunshiney day today and is suppose to get up into the upper 80's. Sure glad I did all the hardest stuff yesterday, and I'm intending to get out there early today to get finished.
Don didn't appreciate the "honey do" list I posted on the fridge last night. I do hope he has a change of heart this morning...
Bonnie... that's awful what happened to you... but I agree... it was divine intervention to make you see a doctor.
I have that chronic neck pain too... I might want to try that neck brace.
I think I remember once, when I was a kid, my mom cooked a goose... maybe she didn't know how it was suppose to be cooked, because nobody liked it.. and she never cooked another one. I do remember eating a lot of rabbit, because we raised them for a while. And when son #1 was old enough his g'dad took him deer hunting, but all he shot was 3 squirrels... brought them home (cleaned)... I took them to mom's house and she made squirrel stew... now, that was really good. But that's probably the only "different" type meats I remember eating.
I hear Don stirring around... so I better go find out if he's up to helping me today... I sure want to get finished with several things today.
Morning everyone! Bj, tell me what man likes a honey do list? I hope you get some of your stuff done.
Cody, Synda, sounds like you all had quite the discussion last night about foods! Sorry, but I don't care for those things either.
I remember years ago, I was spending the night at a cousins house. She got up early Sunday morning, and placed a huge pot on the stove, then place this nasty looking cow tongue in the pot to boil, while we were at church! Well, when we got home, the huge hunting dog, somehow got in the back door, and got the pot off the stove, and ate the whole tongue. My cousin was so mad! I was so relieved!!! LOL
Hope you all have a great day!
Just popping in real quick to give everyone an update....

Well I better get back to work..
Huggs to everyone!
Donna
OMG All those foods some of you won't eat are fantastic. I love goose and duck, you should also try goat, coon, beaver, snake and of course squirrel and rabbit. I grew up on all that including turtle and possum. Didn't like possum that much but it was tolerable.
Good Morning all! what an awesome day this has started out to be!
someone pass some really strong tea please. wants to rain outside, everything is already wet, a bit on the cool side. drank coffee last night to get sugar in me fast, the hospital gave me 800mg motrin on an empty stomach - thought Randall was still brewing coffee with decaf NOT - had trouble sleeping - those were pain pills, not sleeping pills!
middle sis Melanie awoke me with a phone call. she's found someone to rototill cheap but he will only come north for at least 2 jobs.
Randall interrupted to say come quick, I had visitor. had to throw on clothes.
oriental neighbor lady (sorry Jaye, don't know what country and they've always been so quiet and apart) was going to take compost tumbler to trash, she thought we might like it. it was blocking nice view and they had two. it's one of the good barrel on a stand with a crank ones, like I've been wanting.
They have a double lot. She took me on a tour over her whole garden, very quiet, peaceful. wild dogwoods, lush blooming azaleas and lush hydrangeas everywhere, mature snowball trees blooming. two years ago they had over a dozen trees removed, mostly pines, have planted all kinds of cherries in their places. she has lenten roses under many trees, gave me two pots of hellabore babies, showed all the hydrangeas she roots. staturary tastefully placed, a gorgeous redwood deck, stone patio, little arbor/garden seat with this humungous climbing rose
ok this is too long. editted to say, that's a nice way to start the day. she's going to give me starts or cuttings of anything I want, even the rose.
she wants some irises for her front yard. (think that's what she was really ringing doorbell about - my IB iris are all blooming out front) and she's amazed at all my hosta babies potted up because deer ate all her hostas. Darn it all, I gotta get her name! don't think she's ever told me in the almost five years we've been here.

well, darn I jumped on here to write in, goose and duck eggs are richer than chicken eggs, and make the very bestest cakes in the whole world. the yolks are nearly orange they are so rich.
and elk chili is my fav, but venison I'll pass on. love duck and rabbit, haven't had game birds since childhood. just let me go fishing in an unpolluted stream, and I'll clean my own fish (put the yuck in the garden, too!) then panfry it right up. DD Ruth loves to fish - but she learned to catch and release. Now, to me, that's just a waste. release what you wont' EAT is my idea of fun. but y'all gals with the guns, sudden loud noise will have me jumping into the next county....
BJ, good luck on the Honey Do List…….
Donna sounds like you have busy week ahead. Tell Tony Happy Birthday…Sage’s Birthday is Wednesday!
Robyn, you left out Armadillo….that is pretty good…..couldn’t do coon.,have been too friendly with too many of the cute furry things….rattle snake wasn’t too bad. Beaver is really good but is way too greasy and smells up the entire house worse than fish.
Bonnie sounds like you and your neighbor are do some good trades!!!
Hope you get everything sorted out and get to feeling better soon.
Sun is out and supposed to be in the 70’s today….upper 60’s tomorrow….then back to typical NW weather…( sometimes wonder if that really stands for North West or just Nasty Wet)…?At any rate the dog thinks we need to go out and enjoy what we have today.
Catch you all later…
Good morning everyone!!!!
Trisha,Synda and Jaye,YUCK, YUCK ,YUCK again.
No Trisha, don't say it if you already haven't.It might give me nightmares.LOL!!!!!
Now i have had frogs legs. They taste just like chicken.
Yum, frog legs are good......in Taiwan they gave us the whole frog...wasn't so fond or that!

Hi folks... been busy outside.. taking advantage of dry weather for now, as they're calling for rain the next few days.
So, BJ, it's my turn to stay busy in the yard. Though I could only stay out half an hour at a time and rest for 15!!
LK, cow's tongue is delicious. Boil for a few hours...remove the outer skin, slice thinly and dip in any sauce..
My favorite way is to boil it in soy sauce, chicken stock, star anice and a stick of cinnamon. Remove the skin when cooked, slice it, and stir fry it in ginger and garlic!!!
Don't forget eels too, Trisha. I had helped my uncle clean eels after purging them.. and then deep fried.. yummy.
Cody.. don't say yuck till you try it. I had to say yuck to wild rabbit. Tasted once, and my BIL didn't marinade it in red wine to rid it of the gamey taste.
Like Trisha, I learn to eat odd stuffs thru' my travels. Sometimes that's all you can get, the local fare, when there's no Mickey D's or KFC!
Robin, you are certainly a natural gourmand!! Lol!!
Now, now Kim.. it must be the excitement/stress of your new home that's affecting your stomach. Take it easy sistah.
Hi Bonnie.. you're a natural humorist!! Do write articles for DG, you might be our Art Buchwald!!!
Happy Birthday Tony!! Lucky kid! Donna, the minute you get there, please post pics of your new home.. use the town's library pcs!
OK, rest period's off.. did the ties on Cody's apron! IT will be ready for your birthday next year!!
Hey Kim, so how does it feel to be a home owner!
Congratulations girl, you did it!
LK
Waving to Maid M... Turtle Sue... (COME OUT OF YOUR SHELL)
((((((((((((((((Stacey)))))))))))))))))))))
More brugs to plant.. see me later.
Jaye, what kind of brugs you got this year?
Any new ones?
LK
Jaye, you are so funny, don't make me pee in my pants laughing to hard.LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LK, truth be told.. I hope NOT getting anything new this year.
I have soooooooooo many NOIDS along with the named ones. Now you know the similarity in colors with all the named brugs.. so hard to tell apart.
But I'm growing out seeds for a good friend and some European ones. Told them they're taking a risk with me!!
Happy to say that Magnifique is coming up from the roots, and Dream Angel too. Naughty Nick had done gone to BrugHeaven.. and Lemon Meringue had whipped itself into oblivion! Phanomenal is a ghost.. HG is slowly creeping up.. sigh.. I'm happy to say NOL and Adeline are good performers..
When I talked to BJ.. I told her no more brugs!! I spent a fortune already.
Wait.. my neighbour who sells brugs are getting more new ones from Florida.. I need to spend summer in jail, so I won't get any more!!
But who can resist those beautiful blooms? LOL
I know what you mean, it is so hard to say no!
I am looking for plants that can be in full sun, that have angel in the name, or even angelic names, for my angel garden. So if anyone knows of any plants, post the names here, so I can research them please?
LK

Hello everyone have great week..
Twyla go here to this contest................. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/977687/
she has a Peptobismal room. .... .... .... ok then
somewhere in the far reaches of my concussed brain a nerve cell fired, "pink long term causes irritation and aggression, ....or was that blue long term? ok, one causes soothing short term and agression and irritation long term, and the other caused the vise versa, now which was which?"
Mom once painted our diningroom mauve pink. lasted a week. Dad said repaint. after living with it that week, Mom didn't say a word, painted it green. years later she still talks about her mauve room made her cooking taste bad and us kids didn't want to eat. but some folks can handle it. there's a builder here in town built a $3.8mil home, styled inside to the hilt with fancy furnishings, foyer and front hall Peptobismal pink. I thought, are you kidding? then overheard all the interior designers gushing over it.
no wonder I can't decorate a room worth a bean.
