Spring Glories Part 3

Melbourne, FL

I thought this one was odd also, Ron. I don't remember which bloom this one had, I'll have to watch for the next flower.

Here's a real beauty. Differences in flower sizes can easily be seen here.

Hey gardenpom - Thanks for posting the additional photo of the blue purpureas here
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6497205
I was curious to see just how dark the darker of the 2 blue ones is in a brighter light...

This one here
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6497223
is almost certainly Ipomoea turbinata due to the reflexed enlarged pedicel and the soft spines...

Here is the flower of an Ipomoea turbinata that you posted previously

This photo here
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6497262
is very kewl (!)...the fine mist sure makes for an enhanced artful contrast when present in just the right very light amounts...sometimes less is more...

Great photos as usual (!)

The 2 tone blizzards

are always interesting...the blues are electrifying...still uncommon , but on the increase...

I also like that bloom! Very, very attractive. Has a nice petal shape to it, too! :-)

These are lovely, but they are so fragile and most of them have torn flowers.

gardenpom - The bud cluster here
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6523699
is either I.coccinea or I.hederifolia...when the seedpods start to develop I could tell you the exact species...

The 2 tone blizzard here
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6523718
looks particularly vivid (!)

lovely flowers Gardenpom, thankyou for sharing them :-)

Melbourne, FL

Thanks. I think the striped ones from Becky are my favorite too. Debra, the first couple of the Spanish Flag you sent me are coming up this morning!

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

gardenpom - I will have to share some of my PINK striped I. purpureas with you at some point. They are similiar to the purple, but instead pink! :-) They are both Japanese vines, I believe. :-)

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

gardenpom, YAY! ( I feel like a flowergrandma..) ;D

Melbourne, FL

That would be nice, Becky....and Debra, the Spanish Flags have a purplish color to them, is that normal? I'll try and get a pic tomorrow.
