DP, I'd love some. Does anyone know the date of the Fall RU yet?
weegy, I'll dmail you.
It's been really busy, and I wish I had time before now to post photos, but I didn't. : (
Love the way your gardens are shaping up.
Right now, I've got this in bloom. Bower vine.

What's happening in your spring garden #4
OK SW!
I have that one too---got it at Annie's last fall and it's SO cute!
love those leaves !
Sometimes I think it's a good thing you live so far away. I love those variegated leaves on your Aquilegia vulgaris. Variegated leaves are so interesting.
WIB,

Sue that's beautiful.
SW the fall RU is in October sometime. I don't know the date or if there is a date set yet. I imagine KaperC would know.
The date for the RU is still up in the air.
I know, but I'm hoping for the second saturday in October. I hate having to give up beach time. I guess it would just be a day trip, so you never know.
Thanks KC,

GREAT iris, Sue. !
ima, your Rhody looks great - is it in full sun?
Sugar Plum is gorgeous, Sue !
Ima...that Rhodie is sensational. I can't believe they'll grow up where you are. Not too hot in the summer for them ? Evidently not !
Sue, I lusted over that poppy from Annie's at the nursery, but I've never had much luck with poppies, so I didn't take a chance. But that iris is to die! I'll have to see if I can find that one...assuming I can find room to stuff another iris in my "meadow garden" bed...LOL!
The rhody is in shade all day in the corner of my courtyard. In the morning there's bright light, but no sun in her spot. JD, I was also sceptical that she would make it here, but I figured if she lived through Sacramento's heat (also in full shade), she would survive ours! And since she was a freebie from a friend, it was certainly worth taking a chance. She's kinda leggy, so as soon as she's done blooming it'll be time for a trim!
The color of that Rhodie goes great with the stucco color.
What's the variegated plant in the blue pot in front of it ?
Daphne aureo-marginata----a youngster I picked up in January. Can't wait for it to bloom one of these days and perfume the whole area!
What a pretty little corner, Ima! Lovely.
Lindia
Thank you! I like it, too. There's a camellia there that came from the same friend, and lost every single leaf on the journey from Sacramento. Eventually one of the branches gave it up, but the remaining two are now covered with pink buds! I've never seen it bloom, so I'm pretty stoked!
BTW, here's a photo of my climbing Cecile Brunner in her glory. She's wound around a former nectarine tree that didn't make it. I suggested her for your arch in another thread, and I still think she would be a nice addition to your English Garden.....somewhere!
I rooted some of that once, years ago from a piece that was in a florist arrangement. It grew to about 15 feet and never got one bloom on it.
Not cold enough here, I guess.
Nice photos !
I just did a garden thread in the Rose Forum.

DP your moth is a "hummingbird moth" which was once a Sphinx catapillar AKA tomato worm. Ain't metamorphosis something. The moths are great fun to watch until you think that they are just looking for a place to lay eggs to make more sphinx worms...
Calif_Sue, I love your interplantings in message Post #6437788.
Weegy, way up at the top you labeled some pink Oxalis "coleus". And asked for corrections. AKA "shamrock". A bit of a weed, but not as bad as its yellow cousin.
~'spin!~
Thanks spin...I truly meant to label it oxalis and not coleus. You are right. Forgive this old brain and I'm sure glad someone is correcting it!!
I knew it was just a slip of the keystroke, Weeg!
