I'M home everyone.I have not been home long.We went to Lockport La.That was about 10 hour drive or more.

Hey, everyone... sorry about last night... got worried about Mike when he didn't call to get picked up by 8:00.... so, I decided that it would be better to worry sitting in the truck at the school parking lot... I couldn't get him to answer his phone, either. LOL... SHEESH
He finally checked for messages around 9:30 and called me. Didn't get back to the school till 10:45... We got home about the same time Don called to say he made it safe to OK City.

Don said while he was as far south as Denton, TX he could not only smell the fires, but the smoke was burning his eyes... as he got closer to OK, he could actually see the glow of the fires in the horizon... was a bit scary. But, he made it to downtown OK City alright, and felt that he was safe at that time. I'm watching the news this morn... but haven't heard from Don yet this morn.
There's some sever wildfires north west of Dallas/FW that they're fighting, but feel that they have things under control.

Please... all our OK sistahs... be safe.

Just talked to Don... and the news he's watching is saying that they have the fires under control... but the news site I'm looking at says (as of about 30 mins ago) said as soon as they get one fire under contol, another breaks out... 30mph winds will do that...
He said the smell of smoke in OK City is a bit overwhelming... but OK City isn't burning... sheesh.

He feels he's safe... but I worry about him trying to get home tomorrow if they don't get it (and the Texas fires) controlled today.

OH MY GOSH!! I am keeping you all in my prayers.

What a horrible experience for the areas...I sure hope these fires can get put out

Good Morning Everyone! Have you all been watching the national news? Tornado hit Mena, AR killing at least 3 and injuring like 25 others. Mena is about 2 hours due West of my house. That specific storm had lost it's power and went North of me, but another storm right behind it put me and my next door neighbors in the storm shelter for about 5 minutes. We didn't get hit, thank God, but boy did it hail!

My mom lives just South of OKC and I'm praying for everyone, those who haven't had the fire to not get it and those who have lost their homes. Boy oh Boy!

I'll check back later and read up on the posts, got to get to work now.

Sorry I went MIA again but we have been busy preparing for teh holiday weekend and the inlaws comming in as well.
The house is almost completely packed up and ready to go finally. Its weir seeing everything boxed up and piles of boxes sitting everywhere. I did clean out the closet system in Tristens room and load it full as well as our closet but whew its hard to believe that it took so many boxes.. I didnt think we had that much stuff..

We moved our date up a bit for the move. Max is putting in his notice on monday so we will be picking up te truck on the 26th and leaving on the early monday morning following so we will be home for May 1st and hopefully the few landlords I have spoken too will still have places open. It seems the house has made the descision for us to go sooner. The water heater blew a p[ipe - We fixed it and nw the elemnets are going out off and on. To top it off the cast iron sewage pipe that runs under the house split from one end to the other and is spilling out on the ground.. Grrr

Anywho I better run.. I need to drive Max down to get his check.. lol They guys decided after work at 3 am this morning that they were having a few beers.. Max doesnt drink beer so he had about a half a bottle of jack and hes still alittle goofy... lol Was their way of sendi him off with a bang just in case the office fires max when he gives notice.. They have a habit of doing that to people in that company..

Yep Donna, that house was not meant to be yours. Glad you will be leaving all that behind. Will be looking forward to "seeing" you in Ohio. Hope that find a good place to rent. After you get a new addy I will send the cd of Patio Pals, been holding off until you get settled again.

a tornado went through the center of town last night and sisters in AR your okay too? the storms were headed that way too
I would have asked sooner but I took one of the vicodines and it knocked me out cold till 20 min ago

Morning LK nope no work that is why I had it done yesterday so I would be able to be home til monday.
I've only taken the one and that was just before I went to bed so I would sleep and not think or feel the soreness.
so far the only area that is sore is right below my cheek bones and I mean right below my cheek bones LOL so no serious laughing for me if I can help it and just a lil puffy there too.
I think that is pretty good sine he had to really work ( like cutting them into pieces to get the ones on the right side out since they had really crooked and funky roots going every which way LOL

Was it your widom teeth? OUCH, sorry they had to work so hard. My Dad had roots that would wrap around the jawbone. One time he went to the dentist for a removal. The dentist did not take any x-rays, and just started to pull, and broke his jawbone! That took a long time to heal.

no the wisdom teeth I have are on the bottom ...always thought they were just regular teeth but they are wisdom ...
these were on the top ...embarrassed top say I am getting a full top plate put in as they were wanting over 24 thous to "fix" everything with a bunch of crowns and I can't afford that so opted for the alternate route instead *sigh*

Awww, Phylis...I sure know the feeling. Had to get a top plate last year.
But they do look good, compared to no teeth,LOL.
I had lots of issues so was too my only alternative, worth it in the long run.

So i hope it all works out for you.
Also, what real big bummer the way you were treated when you visited.
Glad tho that you were able to visit with a few relatives...

So it is blustery cold and windy here today, So i have been just reading around the threads.

Big bummer, my poor DH blew his knee ot yesterday. Thank goodness he wasn't on the ladder when it happened.
Poor guy is in so much pain...So I guess, I will draw him a nice hot jucuzi and hope the bring swelling down.


It's quiet here today, everyone must be preparing for Easter...We are going to our Cuz so just going to color Easter eggs.

Donna, PTL that He had to drop that 'brick' on your head for you to chose leaving the house. It hurts, but it will hurt more if you chose to fight longer.. look at the albatross you are leaving!
You and Max will be looking forward to a new and happier chapter. Just don't lose touch... call one of us regularly.. you know how we worry if we don't hear from you.

So sorry that's the route you have to take Phyllis. You'll be 'high' for a while.. but at least you'll be able to enjoy your food. Well Sistah, at least you don't have to tie a kerchief around your jaw!

Cindy, guess what?? From the crafts swap, Syrumani gave me a box of candle making supplies!!! Threw me off there.. I didn't expect that at all. She gave me detailed instructions and all I need is the essential pots, and some scents.

LOL Jaye, she lives just south of Oklahoma City, moved there in 2003 and has never used their shelter. I moved in October 2007 and have been in mine 6 times now, counting the times I would have been in it before I got it. what's wrong with that picture lol! She's not near the fires either. I pray for those whose lives are affected by the tornadoes and fires, bad bad stuff.

Praying for all !!!! Fire,Tornadoes,and Floods,Earthquake in Italy,mercy Mother Nature,it is time to stop,and give everyone a rest.

I take back every complaint I've had all winter about snow.Raining here today,and my joints hurt ,but at least I don't have to worry about grabbing my family and running for safety.All I have to do is let dirty dishes set in the sink and grab a blanky and go lie down.This week has taught me to be thankful for where I'm at and have and don't have.All places have very good things and some bad.

It's funny how the Dear Lord puts people in our lives when we most need them.Before DG I felt sorry for myself many days.And since being on here I've met loving,caring people who have just as bad of problems if not worse.And each day I appreciate my life more and more,and think less of my hurts and problems .

I want to thank each and everyone of you for being here and in my life.

Oh Synda, how sweet brought tears to my eyes.....yep I'm a sentimental fool. I get teary eyed watching a good movie LOL, stupid huh. Rick just shakes his head. And someday I hope I get to meet some of the sistahs. I'm so bummed that I can't make BJ's party. When she first mentioned it I started saving money, then it's been one thing after another. Now my saving is GONE poof just like that, lol.

Cindy the crying think is one thing we have in common,Rick will walk in and see I'm crying and he'll say "Did I do something"and I'll shake my head no.And then he'll say well that all that matters.....LOL.
