Thanks Jan! Sophie is doing good......DH just realized she looks exactly like the Cadbury Bunny on T.V. lol
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 43
Maybe she has future in show biz!!!
Thats what I told DH..... we could be sitting on a Bunny goldmine!
Welcome back, Celeste.
Looks like it's going to be a great day
Sun is shining, birds are singing
48 right now high of 63
Low 50's today and it happens to be a full one for me so no gardening. It's supposed to be like this all week, hope it goes east to all of you. I just noticed that my garlic chives are trying to take over again.
54 now--Our daffs in front of the stone wall should be starting to bloom. DH has been able to garden more. I have been no help as I have a bad chest cold & cough all the time. One medication says 'take with plenty of water, so I stay close to the indoor plumbing a good deal of the time.
Thanks Jen!
Feel better soon Iris, terrible time to be sick!
Get better Iris...not surprising anyone is sick with this crazy weather we've been having.
Feeling crappy myself. Have body aches, so I think it might be the flu - ugh! 56 and sunny - beautiful day. I might try to drag myself out to do something later - after I pick up my meds. Awful to be sick on a day like this.
OHHH :( Feel better soon, Iris and Victor. On such a glorious day, too. Headed out soon myself.
Jeff starts his Easter break this afternoon. His plan is to start the kitchen cabinets. Tomorrow, he picks up some matboard and some old frames, etc. The shop my brother works at is moving and the owner doesn't want to move everything. It would have gone to the dumpster, so..... Hopefully, it's things we can use. My brother knows our set-up, so we trust him.
Currently 59 and SUNNY.
A friend said 'Oh you've got the BUG. Evidently something is making the rounds. got a flu shot last fall so it is something else. Bright sun out side, iris beds are now almost clear, Hoping for Daffodil bloom tomorrow.
Mend quickly Iris and Victor. Spring is springing. It was a glorious day here. Warm and sunny.
So sorry for you Victor. I have finally, mostly, got my bug licked. DH is less well than me, but he is impossible to slow down unless he throw's out his back or breaks a rib. The coughing thing has been horrible to whip. Good luck with beating it.
Today was a bust. Perfect weather, but I scratched my eye yesterday with some flying dirt and it hurts to much to be out in the sun even with sunglasses. I can't believe I am complaining about sun. I worked inside, but seem to get little done. Not happy. DH sprayed all the plants with a newly scented Mint Deer Out which I hope helps the recent browsing.
Big news for us is that the swallows are back as of yesterday. Last year they arrived on the 10th. They are my DH's favorite birds.
Pixie, you may not have color in the garden, but that is a big Wow for a photo. Glad you are back and that the snow is melting. Finally. Patti
Thanks Patti! ^_^
Patti you should not lick bugs!
Thanks, Patti. I'm feeling a bit better - not sure what it is now. Sorry about your eye - man do I sympathize!! That was hell when I did it in January.
yeeew, bug licking, not me.
Apparently there is a huge box of plants downstairs for me that must have come very late, but DH is having a class downstairs so if I go down, I have to be social. Not feeling it, but dying to see my Hamamelis and Ilex. Not fair. Class will be over at 8:30. Patti
See if you can get eye drops to wash out your eye. I had dirt fly up, but was wearing goggles because the soil was so dry. I have had gnats fly into my eye (silly insects) & able to flush with water, then eye drops.
Sorry about the illnesses, folks---just allergies here! Got up to 60, & I raked the gardens on the road side of the front fences---got an entire pickup load of leaves that will go to the dump Sat.---have not touched the back gardens yet---also can't get enough dry days to paint the fence! Beautiful sunrise, Pixie. Victor, we are down 1 male cardinal from hawk predation---
What a beautiful day!
I've not seen WaterCan2 or Thom in awhile. Has anyone else?
Looks like they took the rain out of the forecast for today, but, moved it to Tuesday.
Stinks to be sick when the weather is fine, for sure. Feeling all better today, Victor? Maybe a 12-hour flu .....

30 this morning - supposed to go up to 50ish- rain tomorrow - will be double timing it out there today!
My eye is better, I may have to do an eye patch if it is bothered by the sunny day we are having when I go out to plant.
Rain for tomorrow here too. 39 now but blowing only about 5 mph, which is great for a change. My big box alert was only a medium sized box from Bluestones. I got them unpacked and will plant them today. Pleased with the plants. Patti

Rain/Snow mix for tomorrow morning....the weatherman actually had the nerve to laugh when he said that. I bet his car was egged last night. ^_^
Low 40s in temp. Rain later today. First daffodils opened up beside the wall.
We are in the mid 40's. Maybe rain later, not so far.
Feeling better - thanks! It's strep and the antibiotic is kicking in. 55 and overcast.
glad your feeling better victor
Thanks, Bill. I hope to get some more done today. Are you home?
DD (jumper2) says they give you a call if it is strep so mine is something else--frustatrating as it is, now you know. I hope more daff are out before tomorrow as temp is supposed to be 42. Normal now is 50. Come on Mother Nature, you had your fun in winter.
Jumper2 is your daughter, Lucy? Cool - welcome!
It's trying to rain as predicted. Went to the barn instead.(indoor arena)
victor we had this as a holiday - i was out in the yard all day - great day and got a lot done!
It was nice til noon, then it clouded up--then it began spitting rain---now it's just plain raining! Enough already!
Glorious day outside, but the cool front moved in. I could feel the change as I was trying to finish up another bed cleaning and edging and more raking. That raking is endless. We got all the Japanese Maples planted. Too tired to take a picture. Patti
Turned out to be an ok day kids and dog playing outside, did some planting rained a little this evening and real foggy coming home form coloring easter eggs at sil house. High was 58
Hope rain stops tomorrow in time for b-ball game going to see Trenton Thunder(Yankees AA) against the Binghamton Mets...we'll be rooting for the Mets.
Poured overnight, with T-storms. Dogs were not happy, but all my new plants are! Foggy and damp this morning, no wind to speak of, 46 degrees. But I went out to see how things had faired and all ok. Patti
