Blue flowers blooming now

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Yes, I think it's too damp for them here. My sister in Simi Valley grows them with no problem at all.

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

I love Lisianthus, especially the doubles and the bicolor ones. I wish they would reseed.

Nery, I was going to say your Oxypetalum looks just like Tweedia, but then I googled them both and saw the same images for both. I guess Tweedia is Oxypetalum. I used to grow it, but it was very temperamental here, dying for no apparent reason.

Hey!! what are you doing up at this hour?

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

Sure it counts. I love William Guinness.

I'm always up at this hour. It's only 2:30 here. I work at night and stay up until 5:00 or 6:00. Then I sleep till noon.

There is a gardener who does night work.
I often talk to her just befor she goes to bed.
She's on Northeast GrdnFrum

I'm struggling with a new Laptop.
What ever posessed me.
I cant get used to the small print so I enlarged the fonts, things are a bit better.
My eyes are so bad that I can only use it in certain parts of the house where there is no glare.
I need spyware so I tried to download a new securiyu system but since the Outlook Exp. isnt set up on the LT I recieved the notice of purchase on the computer from hell I've been using and nearly downloaded it to the wrong computer.
I'm glad I have lunch with a freind today and the people are coming to clean.
I had to put the*********** thing away.
Its cold and cloudy as have been all mornings.
The garden isnt fun when the weather is like this.

Computer problems and rainy days are both downers!

There is blue in lavender so I'll try and make believe this one qualifies for the blue flower thread because I enjoy this iris so much.

Mixed blues. I do have names for them but it would be too confusing to explain where each one is.

This is our old favorite blue one and if it has a name I don't know it but I love it anyhow. I caught the photo this morning just as it was finishing unfurling.

Yes, I know I am obsessed by this delphinium. Considering the color, why not enjoy the obsession?

Gracieuse takes on different colors, from lavender to blue, during the day and depending upon sun and shade.

Finally this lacecap hydrangea is blooming. I got it as a little rooting in 2005 and now I can enjoy it.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

We could all enjoy it if I'd post the photo!

What wonderful blue flowers! The combination of colors in that Delphinium is just enchanting.

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

pirl's delphiniums are really great. As are the JI's...(and everything else she grows ! )

I think she took a course in growing delphiniums and passed it with flying colors !

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Yes, I took the course from JasperDale himself!

The plants are grand but the art in the garden is wonderful.

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

It certainly is. That stone (?) behind the hosta is exquisite.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Jo Ann has a lot of beautiful pieces like that.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

That is a clay tile I bought from the sculptor who made the bird bath and 2 other pieces for the garden.
