Very nice onewish! I have some curvy foliage on some of my crocus/ I thought it was because they
were newly planted and some of them had sprouted a tiny bit before I received them.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Meredith - sorry I don't know the daff, I like the big all yellow ones the best.
Nice Allison!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Cool link, Allison. Forgot about that.

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Ilove the big yellow ones too. : ) I was wondering because I need to get some earlier varieties - some yards around here already have buds on theirs. Mine are barely above the ground.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Mine are almost ready. My neighbor's have started.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

this is the second year mine were there... so i think it's curvy from rocks... LOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's interesting.

Deb, I have narcissus envy, I need some big color in the garden and soon.

Onewish1, Love some of those crocus. Especial that white with the purple base and that last stand of purple ones.

I found a group of more Iris histrioides 'Katherine Hodgkin' today hiding under a lavender that I was pruning. I was surprised as the other ones planted just up the path have been gone for a few days. Here are a couple of them. Patti

Very nice, Patti! How long do they last? (I know I asked this before, but I'm senile.)

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Victor, the first ones of that cultivar bloomed this year was about March 13th and some are still blooming. I have a pretty blue one that I bought on sale and is unnamed (from Touch of Nature's sale in Dec for 2.25 of 25) .that started on March 12 th and they are still at it too. It may be 'Harmony' But others came and went in a 5 days. I have lots yet to bloom. So I would say I get 5 to 6 weeks of having some of them out. I will let you know when they are over. Patti

It was another rainy crappy day here, so I was only out during the time it tried to clear, but that didn't last but 2 hrs. DH found a few more of a Iris reticulata 'Joyce' which has me confused. I know this is 'Joyce' so who is the one I posted before that I thought was 'Joyce' She is pretty. Patti

I need some color now, besides daffs, so am thinking the RI would be nice. Saw some grape hyacinth buds.

Wow those look great! When did you start your petunias? They lookawesome. : ) Mine are still itty bitty.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

they were bought as cuttings from NC farms... love the instant gratification of a cutting... they were started Feb 10th... my seedlings are still ity bity as well

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Onewish1, I am lousy with seed, but do well with cutting. Maybe next year I will order some too. Yours look fabulous. Great job. Patti

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

it was a lot of work... my back wasn't the same for a week... felt like a robot for sure

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Allison, the Little Shop of Horrors link brought back memories. I've always liked that movie.

Patti, I definitely have to get myself some of those little irises for next year. I can just imagine my dry garden, which is up on a small hill, just covered with those.

Allison, your cuttings look great! How nice!

NFD..I was dancing around to the video as well... and thanks lost some... but most made it

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

I know this is cruel to all on this forum trying to keep their calories down, but look what DH made and I ate....the exact # will remain my secret! They are the best I have ever eaten. He also tweaked the recipe by using a very good brown sugar made with molasses that we got up at the King Arthur Baking Store in VT. Sorry Patti
