Does anyone know the name of this little bulb? It made it's way into my yard attached to a rose bush that made its way into my yard. It's a very pale pink.

Isn't it another chionodoxa??

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

That's what it looks like to me. Wasn't sure though. I always think of them as blue.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Most likely, Chionodoxa forbesii 'Pink Giant' Patti

I do like them. Maybe more this fall.

Gorgeous pics Dyane!
I wandered around the garden tonight, and saw a lot of new emerging foliage - it is so exciting. I moved a lot of stuff last fall I forgot, until I see the foliage poking through, and it's...oh yeah.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I know that feeling, Deb. Embarrassing when I only planted it recently!

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

I think that's the one, Patti. Thanks for the ID. It's very pretty.

I keep looking for bleeding heart, and I don't remember moving it, but I'm only seeing it come up in one spot and I had 2 fairly large ones. Did I move it? Where? I'm not usually this bad, but I was a bit stressed last fall, so who knows what I did.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

gotta hate that

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Ooooo, Dyane, I want the daff 'Rip Van Winkle'. Nice progress on your walk wall and stone steps! I'm quite jealous!!!!! Yes, isn't it great when you can do something decorative? I love it.

Shelly, love the rhodie flower shot and the pink camellia with all the water droplets on it.

Thanks All!

Debilu.... maybe not to fret about the bleeding hearts. My native ones haven't poked their heads up yet and I know that they're fine! the only one of mine that is coming up so far is Gold Heart. It always seems to be much earlier than my natives.

Great pics Dyane! The rock work is great and coming along so quickly. My wishlist has been a growing and ever evolving epic for a long time now. I think that it's a sign of actually being a gardner! ..... I thought that Bill had a quarry as well! lol

Beautiful mallard Pixie!

Nice work Jo Ann. Those baby moon daffs are really cute!

Mixed or not Meredith, the crocus are a nice striking color.

Lets start a pool to guess the weight of Dyanes stepping stones, I guess 200lbs ea.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Very nice Dyane. I can't wait to see completed pics and then pics when everything starts waking up and blooming.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

The bottom looks much bigger.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

The wall looks GREAT dayne! i saw that first pic and i'm thinkg extra stone left over:) hopefully it will not take too long for the wall to "age".
planning anything to drape over the top like sedum or something else?
are you going to relocate more stone for the sides of the stairs - did they bring those moss covered rocks or are they from the property?

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Wha, I agree, I love dripping things over our lower wall in our Vt garden. For me, Dianthus , Sedums, and Geraniums work great. Can't wait to see it all planted. Patti

nice woodsy garden Patti

Thanks, Ge1936, the Vermont garden is planted with things that are no fuss, as we don't spend much time working on it. Almost all our attention and money goes to the Nantucket garden which is our primary home. We do drag extra plants back and forth all the time. I had to laugh, as last fall I dug up a bunch of primula in Vermont, that had started and struggled for years in Nantucket and hauled some of them back to Nantucket to give them another try, now that we built the endless stream. I hope they like it better this time.

We do have our first big daffodils out. Appropriately it is Narcissus Rijnveld's Early Sensation. Patti

Very nice, Patti. Not fair that you have two gardens to play in!
