ROFLOL, hummm might have to take that under advisement. Will need to be home the end of June through the first 2 weeks of July as Kim will be in Costa Rica and I will need to kitty sit.

Mmmm... such a rich ancestry and diverse family you have there, Jaye... how interesting for the next generation to pass on all the stories passing around your family. Love the pictures... all a great looking group.
Well... after complaining about my grocery bill this morning... I have moved right on past that, and have chosen my student for next year. I should have her tagged for ME by the end of the week. She's 15, from Greenland, and enjoys crafts and jewelry design. Tiny little thing with long brown hair. Cute as a button. Her name is Inaluk... I think I'll call her Ina.
Every Thursday I get an email with a list of students to choose from. The last time a good pick came along, I waited for Don to come home and discuss it with him, show him the list, wait for an answer from our area coordinator for more info on her, then review it with Don again... and by the time I could get in touch with our area coordinator again, she was already taken... I was heartbroken.
This time, I called Don, said "I found her"... he said OK... I called the coordinator on the phone, she gave me her password to go directly to the AFS site to view the details, and I clicked the HOLD button. Then, called the coordinator, and she's putting the wheels in motion now. Guess I just didn't know how the RUSH process worked.
BJ... your DGD will be disappointed!!!!!!
Maybe... but I won't.
I hear you BJ!! ROFL!!
Fantastic Family Jaye, thanks for sharing photos!
Thinking of you LK, (((Hugs)))
I don't want to be reminded how much kids eat.....I am so happy my kids are out a footing their own grocery bills now!!
BJ, congrats on getting your new student lined up....whooohooo a Crafter!!! Are you going to have fun?! Of Course the Garden help has been nice too......
Stay Safe and Dry Marion.......you could just crate up the cat and take it with you......
yeap, except there are 6.
You will need a Condo Crate!!!!
Condo Crate!!!! Lolol!!!!! Too funny!!!
Yes, Mike has been a lot of help in the garden... and I will certainly miss him when he leaves... I've grown attached to him already... but I knew going into this that I'd have to let him go at the end of the summer. I'm sure his mom wants him back too.
Speaking of which... his first track meet is today in 2 hours... I promised to be there with my camera... better get my rear in gear.
Hello everyone. I am back from the Hospital!!! I was told to be there 30 minutes before his 9:00am appoitnment for registration, and I was, then we sat and waited, and waited. I finally got up and ask what the problem was. Well, the orders i got from the Dr, for the CT scan was not detaied enough. There were some missing code numbers, so we sat another 30 minutes, waiting for the Dr, to call in those code numbers. Noone in the office could supposedly get his medical records. Only the Dr. could do it, so at 9:45, I told them to reschedule me for another day, and we left, Dad was fasting for this appointment, and he was hungry, and cranky. We left there at about 9:50, got all the way home, and I got a phone call from the hospital, we need you to come back, the Dr, wants this test done today, and we have the info we need. So back to the hospital I go, and had to wait another hour to be worked into the schedule! We got the test done, and stopped at Sonics for lunch as soon as we got out of there.
I swear, they have been doing this for years, you would think someone would knw they have to have these stupid codes!
Now we need to wait till next week for his follow up appointment, and get what ever the results are!
Needless to say, my morning did not go good.
And the reason he needed to be fasting is because some old people will get sick after eating, when they lay down flat on the table for the CT machine! Have you ever heard of that!
OK, I am done ranting!
Who has the Bailey's? Jax are you holding it? LOL
Jaye, your family is so nice and happy looking! Thanks for sharing them with us.
Bj, it is hard to believe how much groceries have gone up lately! WOW! Gallon of 2% milk is more than $4.00 now! Bread is like $3.00... it is rediculous how pricey things are getting!
I bet your Granddaughter will love another girl to play with, I bet they get along just fine!
Marion be careful in those storms. We had a little rain here this morning, but just to settle the dust.
Donna sorry thet lady did not follow through, and buy all your plants, but I know it will all work out somehow.
So what is everyone else up to?
Hello to everyone else I missed. Stacey, Cindy, Joyce...
LK
Well, it's like this with my DGD... she's too busy.
Like, this Saturday she was suppose to take the PWC course at the Coast Guard station to get certified to drive the jet skis without an adult with her. She has a UIL meet Sat morn, and can't make it... So, guess Mike will take it by himself. If it's not UIL, it's Power lifting meets, or something else. Seems they don't get together as much now, as they did in the beginning... I'm really proud that she's staying busy... but I can't make decisions for what best at my house around her wants and desires.
SO THERE...
OH, LK... that's awful what they put your dad through this morning... glad he finally got some food in him...
Yep... I think food prices started spiking around last November when I remember going to buy Brown N Serve rolls for Thanksgiving dinner... they were $2.79... what WAS 79 cents the last time I bought them.
I know Don and I was spending about $300-$400 per month on groceries a year ago... and now (with price gouges, and Mike here) we're spending close to $800-$1000... that's rediculous... OUR MORTGAGE isn't that much.
I thought that high gas prices last summer had drivin the food prices up because of the trucking ... but since the fuel prices have come down, the food prices haven't... now, I don't know what to think.
Good afternoon! Went MIA last night, had thunderstorms and Dave was awake so wanted to chat with him, hardly see him anymore.
Working hard over here, or hardly working, not sure lol!
I hate it when I click on send and I don't mean too.
I love the pretty pressies and pictures! Me and Dave need to get some pictures done, haven't had any since our wedding. Maybe for our 5 year anniversary, don't want to wait til the 10th anniversary, that's too far away.
I get so fed up with Doctors and Hospitals.....I have finally learned we don't go near either without, computer and/or reading material, a craft project (I did yesterday's mushroom waiting for Laura's MRI) or something to keep us occupied.....it is absurd!!
If the prices go up too much we will be on the Campbell's Diet.......but have gotten pretty good a getting staples...just what we need for the pay period small amounts and stay fresh, we start our shopping list at Grocery Outlet and $$ Store which is a BIG Savings on a lot of things like canned veggies and frozen meats and fish...then WalMart is the next stop for fresh veggies and most remaining items....last stop is Safeway....2 Gallons of Milk for $3.98 and they have a fantastic Clearance section in the Meat Department so we generally get anywhere from 30 to 50% off on most of the beef, pork and other meat products.....we grab them on sale and straight into the freezer.
Boy did I get put through it today! They scheduled my surgery for April 1, councelled me a bit and sent me across town to the Surgery Clinic. I went from one end to the other, filling out oaoers, getting bloodwork and a nasal thingee for staph. When I was talking to the anesthesioligist (SP), I find out my cardioligist has to OK surgery, and since I haven't seen him in over 3 months, I have to see him before I can have it done! He's gonna work me in Mon afternoon. Another trip! I just hope he OKs it! They gave me a scrop fpr iron, and the insurance doesn't cover it. $15.00. I didn't have but 6. So I got $6.00 worth! Enough to last me till surgery! Now if I can just get gas to go for the surgery!
not reading yet, jest stopping in to say hi.
got a few irises weeded between rain.
Guess what everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wrong
Ok I'l;l tell ya the great news!
Another baby shower present
It's not finished yet.
No, it's not Stacey although she IS working on a marlevous piece of art. It's Mss Betty!!!!!!!!!!!!she's going to do a portrait of Riley when I send her a good picture! Yahoo!
I'm tapping my foot Staceypoo and I agree with Marion, "Perfection takes time" Yes, I can wait, anxiously, but I can wait.
It wasn't until I got Linda Kays rag quilt that I realized my butterfly rag quilt isn't finished correctly. I left too much frassle ends exposed and they only take away for the appearance. So, I'm cutting them down like Linda Kays and I'll wash and wash until I get the same effect. This is the some of the material that Cindy and Jaye sent me. The baby material Cindy sent me, I made burp clothes, blankets and hooded towels out of. Thanks again Jaye and Cindy.
Cindy, is your mother-in-lawtobe in Warner Robins named Cathy? I dreamed I went to see her.
I am so excited for you Deborah!!! So good of Betty to do so!!
AND, I can't wait to see what Stacey's doing for you. Yep, can't hurry perfection.
I've never done a rag quilt. I'll leave that to the experts like LK and BJ. Now, if you need some flannel cloth, let me know.
Well LK.. I'm like Trisha. I pack stuffs to do while waiting at the doctor's office or any med. facility! Unless I'm already ushered into an ambulance!! Do hope it's good news with his CTScan. That's exasperating when professionals forgot what they're trained for!
As for the fasting, I understand that perfectly. Just in case some have GERD, they might upchuck while horizontal.
Sorry you were given the run-around Audrey. Hope for the surgery, it will go much smoother.
I crashed this afternoon! Was so exhausted and my body screamed REST! Cody, I did sort out my threads :D
Lisa, your box went out today. There's a Jeff Foxworthy in it, so you'd understand us better!!!
Wow, Mike's track meet went on and on for 3 hours... I got so tired of those bleachers, I ended up sitting in the truck after his event. Poor thing... he came in last... his first time ever to run track, and they don't have competitions like that in Austria. He told me he was so nervous last night he couldn't sleep, and was so tired and nervous at lunch, he couldn't eat today. So, he didn't have enough energy to run well. Well, that was his excuse, so I'll believe him. But, I got some memories recorded for him to take home with him.
Oh, Deborah... how special is that? Portraits by Betty is one of the best around... I can't wait to see it...
HURRY Fairy Face... we all want to see it.
My computer crashed again... so I'm on Don's again... sheesh. It's just the light that illuminates the screen. Don's replaced it once, about a year ago... and it just burned out again.
LOL... just noticed after I posted that picture... he's got a farmer's tan... didn't have that before he came.
Well, he may have come in last in the race, but I give him a great big A+ for the effort he put into! I bet he will sleep tonight?
That is where I am headed, to bed. See you all in the morning.
LK
