Don't forget to send your old books and magazines to Lisa (CountrBlueLady). She's so in need of literary company. Even some letters will be good..
Meet my youngest niece.. Nurin Qistina (Nooreen Kissteenah) and her sister Dafinah (Dahfeenah).
Before Sheila's pregnant with Nurin, Kel already predicted a pregnancy and a girl to boot. Guess what.. all the denials.. then here's Nurin, unplanned!
How have you been doing Laura. Finally getting used to the new home? Got your garden planned out yet?
Jaye the nieces are beautiful little girls!!!
Got Laura's MRI done today....don't know how long it will take to get the results from her Doctor....
Everyone in Storm country stay safe......
That's out of the way, now hoping for something that can be corrected.
Trisha, Cody just dmailed me.. she's fine.
Forgot to thank you Trisha on my nieces..
We have 4 nephews and 8 nieces. I've only met 4.
Will try to post more of my family pics tomorrow. Hope I won't bore y'all.
Going to bed... if I were to get some aprons done tomorrow!! Lol!!
Night everyone..
Mama Jaye, those are some beautiful kids.
Good night love ya sweet dreams.
APRON APRON APRON LOL LOL LOL
Well Kel keeps me company. So, now we know you, Rob and Alex are still safe in Louisiana.. we can go to bed!!
We love you!!
WE LOVE YOU BOTH TOO.GOOD NIGHT MAMA JAYE SWEET DREAMS.
All of you take care and have a good nights rest....love you all
Good night Trisha, you do the same love you too.
Jaye, yep quality not quantity. The house is getting there, but still a lot of work. I dog sat last week and have been a bit below the weather recently. The garden is a little daunting, maybe I'll be less intimidated come spring.
Good morning sistahs and nieces!
Yep, I'm up early.. got to accompany Kel this morning!
Juice, milk and fruits this morning. Of course, coffee too for you caffeine freaks!!
Laura, don't 'overstress' yourself when it comes to gardening. List the flora and fauna you'd enjoy, and go from there. Ask yourself too if you don't mind spending a bit of time on their maintenance. Let us know what you would like, and maybe we might be able to send you some cuttings or seeds.
Lisa, one box going out to you!
Have a good day ladies!!
Now here they are in everyday garbs. In a row.. stretched out on the floor. Who would have thought of that for a family portrait?
Yep, Julia did!!
Gonna post more of Jaye's whacky family.. later..
Edited to introduce the family to you. Click on the pic...
Firzanah, Farizah, Fariz, Julia and her husband Rashid.
Yep, all her kids' names begin with F..

good morning all! I made it! I just followed the smell of spiked bailey's! Kinda got a hangover, but it's time to start Spring cleaning. So, I'ma off to tear the kitchen apart and clean from ceiling to tile floor. That should take a couple of days, huh? HHhhmmm! maybe I should start with another cuppa!
Yall have a good one, now!
MORNING LADIES !!!
Jaye... You're sister's kids are just adorable... she's beautiful... and her hubby is a hunk... Whoever came up with that "lined up on the floor" pose is a creative thinker. When my neices were young (oh, I guess some 25 years ago) my sister had a photographer come to the house and do a family portrait of them all up in a tree in their back yard ... each sitting on a tree branch. I have no idea where she came up with that one.
Jax... When I spring clean my kitchen, I always start with the coffee pot... so I have to empty it first... one cup at a time.
Jaye - you have a beautiful sister and BIL and her family is adorable. I once knew a familty with nine children and all their names started with R.. Darned if I could remember them all now though!!!
Morning everyone.
Jaye Thanks for breakfast. Good coffee. You must be very proud of your family. They look very happy.
hey BJ, how you doing today? You get your sleep, or did you wait up for Don?
Laura, it takes so much time to get settled into a new home. Please post your list of plants wanted, and we will all check what we have to see if we can share.
I will be missing this morning, for Dad's CT scan. I should be back after lunch. Then we get the results next week.
I need to get several boxes to gether for mailing too.
Later
LK

NOPE LK... I was awake when he came home... I got started watching a darn movie and had to stay to the end... was 12:30 before it was over... and fell right to sleep after that. Then, could hardly crawl out of bed this morning... woke to the sound of Mike getting his breakfast... so I had to throw his lunch together in a hurry.
Morning Sista's
Sorry I went missing again and I guess I should explain myslef.. lol There's no way I could catch up as I see we went through alot of chatter yesterday but will try to read through later..
I had a great day yesterday.. My friend Christina (here) works at Arbys and they decided they wanted to re-do the landscaping and she had the boss man call me.. He is a really nice younger guy who rives a bg dodge truck.. lol We get along great.. Anyway I ended up selling him baby sago palms in 1 gallon pots and 6 ruy lorapetalum bushes that I dug up from out front and delivered to the resteraunt (spelling?) after I picked up Tristen yesterday.. Was nice and sadi he may want more stuff but he had to get the frot re-done before he worked on the other side of the building.. I made $75 and a free meal for Tristen and I when we delivered the bushes. .
Finished up one whole side of the truck all primer grey now--- yipppeee Now to start work on either the front and hood or the other side.. lol we painted the bumpers and rims black too.. The truck is starting to look so much better.. Max is taking care of the mechanical work to it alittle at a time.. Has been tuned up and now has new front brakes.. I couldnt believe the cuts in the old pads they were really bad but she will now stop on a dime...
Jaye your sisters family is a very good looking bunch and I pesonally love the family photo done that way.. My sister does occasional pictures but she loves taking photos so normally they are her shots..
Luara glad to hear your house is comming together.. I will be in your shes shortly and understand it takes time.. Just do as much as you can without over doing it okay..
OO I think I saw in th elast thread we were tallying hieght? I was 5'9 when I got my ID but now I think I have shrunk to 5'7... lol Unless Im wearing my boots.. Normally Im in flip flops or no shoes at all..
Heres a pic of my sister and her goofy hubby..
Sounds like you are getting things taken care of, and making money while you do it! Sounds like you got a plan that works well for you.
Please don't worry about trying to catch up with us, we know you are so busy packing household goods, clearing the garden, painting the truck... Geesh, that is a lot of work. just pop in now and then, and let us know how you are doing.
Do you still have plants left? I think you said someone was coming to buy all you had?
(((((((((HUGS))))))))
Geesh, I can't spell this morning, I need more coffee...

Will do LK I like to try to keep up but my mind is running in circles.. lol
I have 2 people comming after plants today and I have to find out where I can go get a bood test done for my barber lisene transfer.. I called solantic and they tol dme I have to go to the health dept.. But the transferrred me 5 times and hung up on me,,, grrrr I think Im going to try to call a lab core today.. I dont have a regular doctor nor have I been to one in years.. lol
I am with the other ladies-if Donna, Laura and Kim need any plants, the first place they should look is here-I am sure that for some of us sending some splits would be totally doable!!
BTW-DONNA-I wanted to tell you the DL farm here puts them in paper bags-I know you are trying to save room and thought maybe that idea would help-just throw a smidge or dirt in, put in the DL and then when you get to your destination, you can mist them:)
SO am I the midge of the group then with Laura?? I am like 5' and a 1/2 or so:( Mom is like 5'1 or so-only a hair taller than me....and talk about hub caps-mine are so saggy I might just need feed bags instead!!LOL
Holding my cup for some coffee please.
What a beautiful family Jaye!! I can see you grinning from ear to ear with pride--you have excellent reason to do so.
Keeping positive thought for your Dad Linda Kay. Please keep us updated about the reports.
I think my plans for the day have been changed due to the weather. Not looking so good! We are under severe weather watch and flood warnings--odd as we haven't gotten the rain yet. Oh well maybe it is on it's way--my yard sure hopes so.
Oh ever so happy you found the trail Jax--would hate to lose you again.
Need to go rotate my laundry but will be back later --be good.
OOO-I forgot to say how much I liked Jaye's pics-shame on me-what beautiful families!!
I'm feeling a bit guilty about something... and I guess I need some affirmation from my sistahs. Don doesn't offer a lot of support on these things.
I mentioned yesterday that I spent $300 at the grocery store. Well, one of the reasons is that the price of groceries have skyrocketed in the last few months... I know that. Another reason is that we are feeding a 15 year old boy now... and WOW they can eat.
BUT... I had to have a talk with Mike last night about some of it. I've asked him to cut back on the amount of juice he drinks. I don't buy the cheep stuff, and not the "fruit flavored" stuff... 100% fruit juice here. He's been drinking about a gallon of juice a day, and around 3-5 fresh fruits a day. Now, mind you... I'd have pulled my eye teeth to get my kids to eat so healthy... but this is a bit extreme. I've asked him to cut back to 2 glasses of fruit juice, and 3 fresh fruits a day. I also bought some of those sport drink packets he can pour into bottles of water... they're full of vitamins and protein, and cheaper than juice. Was I wrong to ask that of him?
Believe me... I'm not complaining that he's eating healthy... I'm all for it.
He doesn't eat sugary cereals... just the whole grain stuff that's better for him... and of course, those are more expensive. He rarely eats candy, chips, and only drinks sodas when we go out to eat... I only wish most Americans would eat as well as this kid eats.
Also, it's actually cheaper for him to buy his lunch at school... but, he doesn't like the cafeteria food, so I pack his lunch every day... twice the expense. Again... I pack healthy lunches... and I'm not complaining... it's just getting really expensive.
BJ you shouldnt feel bad for asking him t ocut back a bit.. My kids woul deat and drink me out of house and home as well if I didnt request them to limit what they do.. Heck I bought 2 bunches of bannas just 2 days ago and there are only 2 left and I havent had the first one.. He has to understand that things cost money and you are not made of oney so dont worry yourself so much over it. Im sure he understands..
LK sorry I didnt respond earlier about the lady comming after plants but the one who was supposed to come down dropped off the face of the planet.. She emailed and said he was trying to locate a trailer and then she said she didnt think she ws comming and now n o word at all. So i have been locally selling what I can and spreading the wealth with my neighbors for the m to remember me by plants.. lol
Stacey I think I have figured out the transport on teh daylilies but thank you for your advice.. You never know I may have a few that pop up last minute that need moved.. lol
Well I need to get moving and call my florist friend as today is my grandmothers birthday and Im the one who always arranges a bouquet for her. Im hopeing the florist will allow Bella in long wnough for me to pick out a few flowers and then I will arrange them at teh barbershop while getting my sister to sign the card.> She calle dthis morning and said she would fund the flowers and card as long as I did the arrangment and took them over to her..
Huggs
Donna
BJ-a few ways to cut some of that $$ is buy frozen juice-WAYYY cheaper and still the exact same juice...do you have a fresh produce store anywhere nearby?? Their produce is usually 50% cheaper than the grocery stores....and no you weren't wrong at all. Maybe get him some sugar free jello that is in fruit flavors, if you get the box and make it you can get like 4 servings for about $0.75...not sure if that helps, but thought I would offer the suggestions...
Well, Stace... the closest Farmer's Market is in Dallas... an hour away... That's where we stopped last week and loaded up on armloads of fresh fruit last week when we went to the museums. It's all already gone. I can't drive to Dallas every week for fruit.
I do keep jello, because Don loves it too... Those little "to go" cups are $1 for 4 of them, and go in their lunches. I also make the boxes of jello on the weekends...
Nothing takes the place of fresh fruit... it's just flat good for you... but expensive as all get out when you consume so much of it.
Another thing... since Mike's been here, and I've kept all that fresh fruit in the house all the time... Don's eating more fresh fruit... which is a good thing... so, now I feel like a heal even saying anything at all.
LOL-I was just trying to think of things is all-maybe you could make fresh fruit/jello pops-how yummy would those be-in the freezer-YUMMY!!!
That sounds good... maybe I'll do something like that this summer.
Hello everyone!! Thanks for the lovely comments on Julia's family.. I'll let her know :D I have more to show off. Just want you all to know YOUR other sisters and aunts!! Lol!!!
Donna, you have a lovely sister!
Hope for good news for LK and her dad. Don't we wish one of us is with her?
Stacey is right BJ. Frozen juice is just as good. When Zi was here, she bought gallons of fresh juice and milk and she said the prices here are incredibly cheaper than Europe. Food.. clothes.. petrol! Even fresh fish!!!
Only thing high here were meds, as France is a socialist country. BUT, she won't let Kel pay for the groceries. But then, you already know that her 4 kids were here too.
Until we showed her Minute Maid she was convinced nothing better than fresh!! You should hear her scream! She was trying to find chemical after tastes!
As for jello.. she can't believe how good the sugar free jellos are for Siti, who's a juve diabetic.
This is Sam.. second in the family. Her husband is Khalid. They are both living in Dubai, UAE.
Sam married Khalid when she's 42. Mum was so against the marriage, but she waited only for Khalid. She thought she'd never marry, cause Khalid married another. Until his wife died.
Mum relented.. you see, Khalid's mum and mum's kids are second cousins. There was a lot of opposition at first...now we accepted them. No children, but adopted 4 'Tsunami' kids and they are all studying in a Malaysian college. They are footing their tuitions and board.
Maria, third in the family. All I know about her job, is... she and her husband both work at the airport.. something to do with electrical trouble shooting.. Son Adam is at a Singapore Polytechnic, taking aeronauticals engineering. He's my #1 nephew. 20 years old and still not into girls. Daughter Anita is a sweetheart. She's a shutterbug, incredibly brilliant and love to mother her little cousins. They were vacationing in Philippines.
Now should you ask where's Maria's whackiness.. Since Sam broke taboos..
Maria, unbeknown to the family, won a singing talent competition when she's 12. We didn't know about it, till we read the papers. After she won that, she quit singing!!! It's like, she has proven to all of us sisters that she's the better singer!! Lol!
My what a lovely extended family we all have. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Rumbling getting pretty loud, think I will shut down til this passes.
Be careful Maid M. Is Kim home with you? Make sure your cell phone is charged!
Kim is at work, cell phone charged. This just goes with living in FLorida. Rumblings loud but no rain so far.
Wait till hurricane season starts.. think you should take a trip to Canada by then and stay there!!
