Considering how big the rose is and how tall the obelisk is I'm gonna need the extra set of hands. Especially to help from getting torn up so much by thorns.

That reminds me. I just blew up the hose at work today. Had to duct tape the hole really good to hold until we can get a repair kit. We have concrete blocks holding up landscape timbers and pallets and I have to wind the hose around them so they tend to get bald spots.

We do that at home! LOL The duct tape, I mean. Not pallets holding timber. ^_^

Got the rose planted just a bit ago. The obelisk is really small around so it was a pain getting it over the rose. Now I have a question. I want it to be able to grow and twine around it more so can I prune it some now and it won't go into shock or should I just wait til fall? I just want to knock 2-3 feet off it so it can twine more. After we get new siding on I can always rearrange the bed and maybe have my dad build an arbor or something so it has more room to grow.

I wouldn't prune any right now. You don't want to shock it any more. Give a 2-3 weeks then do it but not by much. How tall is it now?

Over 6 feet tall.

Give it at least 3 weeks then prune it about 2 feet. It should be fine. I can't wait to see the blooms!

Oh, if you love echies, there is a co-op going on for a new one called Hot Lava. Very vibrant red color. If you want one you need to hurry up and get in there. They already nailed me and only because someone found a pic and posted it. So I got 2 for me and 2 for my grandma. She needs more color in her garden. LOL

Good Morning!! At least this morning is going better than yesterday did. At 9am yesterday my co-worker, the one who I share jobs with, not Miss Cheerful, well let me start from the beginning. Every month she sends an email to me and Jeff letting us know what days she's going to be in late, leave early, and not come in. She sent this email regarding the month of June last week. She calls me from her desk to my desk at 9am yesterday telling me that she has to leave at 4:30 every day this week. She answers the phones from 4:30 to 5, so if she's not here I have to stay. She said, "I guess I should have told you last week. Maybe I'll send Jeff an email to let him know." I wanted to say, "You're darn right you're going to send Jeff an email because you certainly don't want me doing it for you!" Then I started thinking, she's always telling me that she likes me and we're friends and all, friends don't do that to friends. Then she tries to give me her work because she has too much personal stuff to take care of, I told her that if she gave me anymore work I was going to pass it to Jeff, she didn't like that at all and took it back to her desk. Everyone sends in their reports at the same time so in one day I went from having no work to having 10 reports that need fixing, I don't need any more work. I have one that I'm having a real hard time with, so, since she said she doesn't want it, I'm giving it to Jeff so he can call her. My co-worker doesn't like the fact that I pass stuff to him when they're not co-operating with me, and he passes stuff to me that a secretary can do, but that's the way it should be.

Miss Cheerful is out of hormone pills!!!! I'm scared! LOL!!

Oh No!!! LOL Yesterday does sounds bad and I'm glad today is better. Does MC get new pills soon?

This afternoon. It's fine now, since I put her in her place!

Hormones! I bet that's what's going on. I thought maybe my IV really didn't have medicine in it at the hospital. It really had oil. Probably motor oil. I am a greasy girl. Always have been, thanks dad! But now? I wash my face and an hour later I need to rewash it. I always love it when I go up to a make-up counter and I know what I want. I know what works for me and what doesn't. Or, if it doesn't work, I take it back. I had to stand there and argue with a lady on Fri. when I wanted a face wash at the Lancome (my nighttime cleanser) counter. No really ma'am, you need to use this clarifying lotion. No ma'am, I don't. It dries and looks like I have talcum powder on my face. Horrible stuff. But ma'am...and on and on it'll go.

I'm like Celia. I like to weed. I wish I could weed. I am up to being able to do crunches with a 3 lb weight. Other exercises I can only hold a 1 lb. So sad. So annoying. Celia, when you weed, do you usually just give a pull, or do you use a garden fork to loosen the soil so you get the weed? If it's more moist I suppose, I can get the weed. I hate it when they break off. Did I ever say it seems all the houses on this street have maple trees? The whirly-gig maple trees? We don't. I hate those trees. I get maples out the ying yang. And my squirrel friends plant oak trees for me all time. And peanuts. Now that's funny. Weeding along and you give a pull and up comes a sprouted peanut!☺

My mind has like a 2 second time limit and then I forget what I want to say. pepper, you should have put the rose on the INSIDE of the obelisk. That way you can wind it every which way you want to.

Oh and Crissy....I'm a Beauty School Drop-Out (long story). Every time I say, or think that, I think of Grease and start singing...lol☺ Some hair you can and do cut with a razor. My sisters thick hair for instance can be. Mine is fine and it can't be.

Yes indeedy, the Flowbee..LOL I didn't walk out because I paid her (plus tip) upfront. Krista had hers cut first (I stood and watched) and I decided to go ahead and get mine done too. Hers didn't look bad, so what the heck. Of course she has dark thick curly hair and I have thin brownish somewhat curly hair. Krista's looks good. Mine looks horrible. You know how you check just to make sure your sides are even, no matter the length? I didn't until a couple days later or whenever it was. One side's up here, the other is down there. That's another thing that's not really there anymore. My curls. It's flat. I don't like flat hair. I can't get my hair in a ponytail, so that's out. sigh. It'll grow, right? Or should I shave it all off and buy a wig?

I think Pepper said she did plant the rose inside the obelisk. Should be very pretty. OH!!! And my new roses have buds all over them! I'm so excited!!! LOL

That is sad, what an awesome house going down the tubes. Seems like the declining market bit him big time. Dave's still renovating that 1911 house in Malvern. I don't think he'll be working on it this year, we're losing money and it's not even our house!

If I'm inclined to I'll do it both ways, most of the time I just pull them, if they break off I'll wait til next time, usually I'm out there every 3rd day or so pulling weeds.

I had a dentist appt this morning and for the first time since I can remember I got a clean bill of health! Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!

My tat is itchy.

My contacts itch, I need to take them out. My mom is on the phone and she is irritating me. She calls just to talk about her. Even when she asks me a question she won't listen to the answer, just starts talking over me. Then I quit talking and she says, "What did you say?" So I start repeating it and she starts talking over me again, mostly talking to her dog. Don't ask a question if you don't want to listen to the answer. She's always treated me this way and it just ticks me off.

I desperately need my camera, I've got things coming up and blooming all over the place!

I need to get pics of my gardens. I planted dianthis, blanketflower, double coreospis moonbeam coreospis, rudebekcia-one a double bloom perennial and one a regular bloom annual, and I think one other plant to go with the other stuff in th bed where my rose is. Plus I ordered some of the new echies so that will go in there too. It's really gonna be full this year!!!!

Now if it would just quit raining!!!

Pepper, that's so cool you have all those going in! I have Moonbeam and I love them. They're very pretty and dependable. It needs to stop raining here, too. If it doesn't soon, I might lose some things to drowning!

Crissy, how about when you're talking to someone, I don't care face to face or over the telephone, and they suddenly are talking to someone else, clearly not you. I hate that and I don't hate much of anything. I just think that's so rude. At least say excuse me, whoever wants to ask me a question. On the razor, you know those old movies or movies showing it's long ago, and a man goes into the barber and the barber lays the man back in his chair and puts a hot towel over his face? Hot towel first to raise the stubble, then they'd swirl on the shaving cream with a brush....you know what I'm talking about? That razor he has, it's a straight edge razor and it opens up...I can't think how to describe it other than that. Anyway, that's basically the same kind of razor you cut hair with too.

I only wish I knew how to use a fancy camera. I can't figure out how to use a cheap one. The one I have isn't even that old, but the battery is dead after 2 pictures. I mean let's face it, I take crappy pictures. Plain and simple. Every once in awhile one gets thru that's really good, but by and large, ick. Point and shoot, but if by chance it's taking too long, the camera shuts itself off. Then the bird or whatever I want comes back, and the action shot is no longer there, it always goes back to auto. Annoying and just plain sad.

My MIL is in the hospital. John called her today to talk to her. He was back in the house after about 3 minutes. I asked him if the phone was busy or something in her room and he said no, she said her foot is doing better, how's everybody, thanks for calling and hung up. John has an older brother that everyone knows is her favorite. He lives right next door. She lives on the old farm and there's bro, wife and 20 yr old son right next door and I do mean right next door. Maybe 20 ft? They never eat at their house, they don't buy groceries. Now wife doesn't like MIL, but bro is another story. He won't accept anyone else trying to help and says and I quote "she's his problem" and yea, he said that right in front of her about 10 years ago and continues to say it. John could hear him in the background. Trust me no one is jealous (John, his sister, other brother), they all know how she is and they accepted it along time ago. But jeez, it hurts them all. Nothing like calling your mom because it's been a week, but that bro walks in and she has to hang up. He's been gone, what? All of 10 minutes? She does that all the time. I just think it's sad. The sister has 2 kids and once in awhile she'd ask her mom to babysit so her and her hubby could go out. Those kids had to bring their own food. I kid you not. If she hadn't fed them, she had to bring something for them to eat for supper. If they stayed all night, she had to bring cereal, even though there would be about 5 different kinds of cereal on the counter. She would always make sure to pick them up before lunch though, heaven forbid MIL fed them. I'm not used to ALL the favoritism, so it's weird to me.

What's the little dog breed that starts with a p? Not Poodle or Pomeranian. Something weird and I had never heard of it till I watched this show on Animal Planet. Papion or something. It's hard to search when I can't remember☺

Papillon. It's French for butterfly. Cute little dogs.

Hypoallergenic? Could I be so lucky to at least have that? This little dog on the show was a Poodle/Papillon mix. Poor thing looked as if he'd never been outside, didn't have social skills at all, was never groomed...the "owners" were evicted and left the dog there. He wasn't found for 2 weeks. He was such a doll, I wanted him. 'Underdog to Wonderdog' was the name of the show, I just looked.

Oh! I love that show! Very cute show.

LOL I took my contacts out and I noticed they were way up on my eyeballs, wonder why? Anyway, I took them out, put my glasses on, and got motion sick! Now that's insane! My eyes don't itch anymore though!

I'm on Facebook and having a ball, but I have Got to go to bed!

Terry, there are several hypo allergenic dogs out there. Some are even cute. Just gotta know what they are.

Oh and I know what you mean about the other person is talking to someone else, especially on the phone. My sister does that. She will call and talk to her hubby or whoever is in the room but not us so much. Then she sits there and yawns most of the time too. Crazy!!

No rain today!!! I'm sooooo happy!!! LOL. I went to my old job today and got to work in the mud pulling weeds. My jeans got all muddy then my shirt did cause I didn't have anyplace to wash my hands and I was meeting up with a former coworker for lunch with her at her house. So my shirt ended up looking worse than my jeans. LOL. Weeds pulled easily though. Even the dandelions weren't breaking off like they normally do.

LOL I've had that happen, Pepper. I looked like I just crawled out of a mud puddle!

The sun came out!!!

Sunshiney day today!!!! Wasn't even hot either. Which was good since I was running around this morning getting prices knocked down then I had to water by hand this afternoon because I still don't have a new hose to water with.

Time to move on...
