Hi!!
Neighbors dog has been barking for an hour and a half straight.
Cool picture! love how they are wedged into the sun and there's the snow still over in the shadow.

(Zone 7a)

Hey, you!!! Yes, they had to have the sun! LOL

Supposed to be 74º today! Yea!!! Gonna play in it...

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

please do play--it's pretty here but chilly. I'm sure I have lots of junk ot clean up tho.
Dang, now it's MY dog barking...

your cat picture gets funnier the more I look. Its like they moved the chairs over to get in the sun!
Remember to come in around noon for some chips and salsa!

I'm back and hopefully will be on more now. lol. One funeral down and one more to go. Hopefully noone else close to us dies cause we won't be able to handle it right now.

(Zone 7a)

Oh, boy, do I so know what you mean. One more and I'm down for the count.

How was that salsa? Did you like it?

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

(Zone 7a)

That's why I keep coming back. For the IMPROVEMENT.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Is it wrong to take plants from a vacant lot that no one takes care of?

(Zone 7a)

Is it a garden plant? Does someone own the lot? Is it a protected plant? Did anyone see you?

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

wear a reflective vest, carry a clipboard--look official!

commercial or residence?

(Zone 7a)

I'm curious of her answers. LOL

In the meantime...I wish it would stop snowing. I have flowering things that were opening and I'm worried. I don't know what the ovenight temps were.

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

SNOWING?! Didn't you have 74 the other day? Is Utah another one of those 'don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes' places?
We have beautiful but chilly sun today. At least sun gives me energy to function!

(Zone 7a)

Yes, snow and 74º the other day. "Don't like it? Wait 5 minutes."

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

It's an owned acre, don't know who owns it, I've never seen anyone there in the 1 1/2 years I've been there. No one has ever mowed it or anything, so it's solid weeds up to my waist and broken down trees, and I wear 36 to 38" jeans. They were daffodils and wild leek. We dug up a hubcap, a garbage can lid, tons of beer cans, a pair of shoes, and some sort of bottle, all in different places strewn all over the acre. There's an old single wide that has a brug that is growing from the outside to the inside, when that comes out of it's dormant state I'm going to take some clippings off of it. Looks like the old man who lived there a number of years ago had a garden, but it's all a mess now. I've never seen so many beer cans in my entire life. If someone lived there they would be my next door neighbors. The guy across the street was out mowing his lawn and his dog came over to supervise us lol.

(Zone 7a)

If it's just a cutting you are getting and can't find the owner, I would think that would be okay. But don't take MY word for it! LOL

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

My neighbors up the street wanted to buy the lot and couldn't find the owner, we're thinking whoever it is lives out of state, or no where local. We dug them up. Everything was all wound up in Bermuda Grass and other miscellaneous weeds and vines, took us forever to untangle the daffodils. If no one lives there and no one is taking care of the place I feel I'm rescuing them!

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

I doubt anybody would care at all what you're doing in there. You could always throw some beer cans in the bucket with your 'finds' and claim you're cleaning. Most 'average' non Dave's people probably are unaware that anything of interest could be found there.

Tall chicks rule! Fellow 36 inseamer

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Yes!! How tall are you, I'm 5'9". It's hard to find slacks and jeans long enough though!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

If you want long jeans, look in western styles like Wrangler. My youngest brother wears a 38 long and I have been known to steal his jeans. LOL. Normally I'm a 32 but I will go to 38 if I feel like it. LOL.

As for that lot, my advice is to clean it up and plant wildflowers in there. Just do a litlle at a time. Or better yet, make it a neighborhood garden. Lots of easy to grow veggies and wildflowers all mixed up. I think everyone will thank you for it. LOL

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Here's the leek today, hopefully just the leaves are damaged.

I wear Wrangler, have for years. That's the only brand that is long enough and stays long enough.

Here's my Iris, 2 of the 3 plants

Yipee!! Wranglers rule!! LOL

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Crocus. My internet is running very slow for some reason.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

They do! I sometimes feel like a nerd because I'm in the same jeans all the time but hey, they fit!

Tulips?

Thumbnail by crissyr
KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Definitely tulips.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Yay!

I just realized that I didn't take a picture of my Lilies. Duh!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

LOL

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

Ya gotta have jeans that fit. I'd wear jeans every day if possible. Lately I buy Land's End 36 inch. Just got my pair for this year. Some 'tall' pants are just not tall enough. DD buys from a teen place like dElias, but I can't be wearing those pants that ride my hips and are skin tight to the knee! I haven't bought a pair of dressy pants in ages.
I haven't seen wrangler long in stores--maybe I gave up looking too soon. Lee tall and Eddie Bauer tall aren't tall enough. Well they might be tall enough the day you try them on and pull down on them,...then you wash them once and you're done.
I hated highschool and pants not long enough, and everybody wearing platforms, and me 5' 11" already. In restrospect, it was a blessing to have a uniform for the school day!

(Zone 7a)

Your gardens look great, Crissy! Get a pic of those lillies.

I'm plain old 32" inseam. 5'6". Jeans fit me but I'd be in shorts all the time, if I could. The only problem I have is my waist. It keeps getting bigger. Must be all those chips. Nah...

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

how come the chips always go to the waist, and not to other parts that could use enhancement? It just isn't fair or logical.

(Zone 7a)

LOL I'd like the answer to that one, too.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I have to wear business wear at work, so I only get to wear jeans on the weekends. I don't mind the slacks, it's always too cold in the office in the summer to wear dresses, otherwise I would even though I am entirely too white. :(

I got enhancement from gaining 50 pounds, just made me sag and enhancement clothing does nothing but show through my other clothes.

Never wore a uniform to school, straight up public school system here, blah!

Wranglers are found in western wear stores mainly. Don't buy the ones that WalMart carries. My Wranglers I have to buy online, they don't carry a size 14 slim cut women's in the stores. Yes, I wear a size 14 for my waist and Slim Cut for my legs, it really hides big thighs, just as long as I wear a loose top with them I'm good to go.

(Zone 7a)

Terry, you still there, girl? We love you. Take care.

Monday, one of my brothers is having hip replacement surgery. This will be his second. It's going to be fun visitling with him while he's in rehab during the week. When he's done there, I'll be taking him home.

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

Fun fun, as in lay around with him, eating junk food and watch movies? Or not fun fun as in be his slave and listen to whining?

(Zone 7a)

Fun, fun. He's a hoot to spend time with. My oldest bro and my closest sibling. I got to sneak Carl's Jr. in last time and we got busted by the nurse on duty. LOL She ended up watching the door while we had our meal.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL!! That's hilarious! When I had my bladder/kidney surgery my grandfather snuck in a Jack in the Box cheeseburger for me, no one said anything but I don't know if it was even against the rules, I was eating normal food by then. Spent 7 days in the hospital and was dying for something other than hospital food!

(Zone 7a)

Yeah, we have fun together. We like to watch bad monster movies and eat pizza and chips, ice cream and kibitz.

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

Sounds great. I'm sorry my sister lives too far for me to have done that last year when she was in. Switch that to funny movies, nachoes and ice cream an Oreos.
