Congratulations, Kim, I'm so happy for you.

Coushatta, LA

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Afternoon Cody. How are you today?

Coushatta, LA

Hello Cookie,i'm good.Just can't wait for it to dry up so i can go outside and do stuff. How are you doing?

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Okay, it's raining a bit here today, but my GF and I are going to hit one of the nurseries. They're having a perennial sale, 25 for $25. I'm sure they won't be big plants, but hey...they'll grow!

Coushatta, LA

That is that you are ok.Sounds like you are going to have blast today.I love to go too nurseries.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

I's pouting :(.......Jaye, it's ok to look as long as you don't touch. Heck!!! Rick looks at naked women online ALL the time. I told him that was gross. He said it's a man thing.

But you are right he is enough.H e has been very good to me. When I had no money and living with my mom he asked me to move in so he could take care of me, because my mom couldn't afford too. He has let me do pretty much what I want, with the house and yard. The other day I was talking about junk drawers, he said well the one in the kictchen needs to be cleaned out. I said "Well, that's your junk to go through" He asks "When are things going to "ours". I almost said when we get married, but I'm not ready to go there again, lol. So now I guess I better start thinking of things as "OURS".

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Afternoon everyone!

Trisha, that sprite looks so cute!! If you're not happy with that, show me how to make one that looks just like that! I can't get the hang of shaping clay :(

Congrats again Kim. You'll be busy checking online as how you want the interior to look like. Any furniture lacking? More room for your AVs!

PTL Donna. Your road ahead seems to be getting clearer. Main thing is Max will have a job upon your return. All according to His will ^_^ He knows what's good for you both!!

Darn Susan, that recipe sounds more like a variation of a baked stroganoff, but with yoghurt instead of sour cream. IT is tasting good especially on veges instead of noodles! Thank you, and I think I'll add more ground beef. So almost everything low fat then? I have to cut back on my sodium.. so I'll use low sodium broth.
Not into bell peppers as that upset my stomach. But I love tuna! Share that one please, and see whether I could modify it.

Can't wait to see how your pond will look Cookie. Love those BIG hardscapes! A waterfall feature added will be just a paradise garden. Will you take pictures as the pond progresses, like BJ did with ther walkway? We can always learn something from another.

Sorry Cindy. Needlework is just as painstaking as quilting!!! It tests your patience. Cody and Judy do embroidery too. I hung my hoop up!

LK, if you're still around to read this, hug BJ for us! Be safe!

And I'm sure it goes both ways, Cindy. You're taking good care of Rick as well. That's why he is good to you. Especially if one has gone through a rough marriage.
I can't complain of mine neither. I always tell Kel is he is one of God's favorite sons!

Hi Cody, did you get the other ears pierced? Had a gf that was told if she pierced her upper ears, she'd be able to control the amount of food she ate. Ended up getting a gastric bypass. Duhh..

It's still raining here, no sun and cold! Must be the whole state if Bonnie's getting the same.

Think I'll crawl back in bed with a few mags...

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Kim... I wish you nothing but good things... As far as 2 % milk I don't really think it would make a diffrence.. I did use the skim milk..
Hugs,
Susan

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Afternoon all, read part before I left the house, and back on here at the Doctor with Laura, so due to CRS please forgive me if I can't remember what I read earlier.....hasn't been the best start to the day.

It is a hard nasty cold Rain/Snow mix right now, dark and dreary out.....it is beginning to lean more to the Snow side of things....

We have our Church Ladies get together at moms tomorrow....our friend Clara won't be there....please keep her in your in prayers....in addition to back problems and other issues she has been in the hospital with Meningitis (non contagious type) they have moved her to a nursing facility, but according to another friend Clara is not doing well....I know she did not look very good when we went to vist on Friday.

Oh Susan, that recipe sounds soooo good! Going to have to try that one!

Jaye, what do you want to make with your clay? We are going to have to start working on some simple projects here one of these days.

Well going over to the Write Robin Storytellers and read the latest installment while I have some battery power....will pop back in if I time and battery, otherwise will talk to you all when I get home.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Tnate-LK answered my ?? last night for me-but thanks anyway....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Is Laura having her knee checked? Sure hope it's nothing serious.
Trisha, right now I'm practising faces. Somehow, I'm not good at manipulating clay. Must be my nails!! Lol!!

I like quilting.. no bumps to deal with.. all flat!!!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

That's awesome Kim! Yay!!
Be careful digging, I don't want to hear about any injuries

It won't make my happy face wwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

had to take time to read all this. Turning out to be a decent day after all. Had great exercise class, but after class, the next instructor kicked 3 of us in the deep end out of that area, then she never used it. what was with that?

Ruth wants to go to Olive Garden, Bevin (oldest) had made arrangements to get off work in time to join us. Mom and Dad usually don't eat that late, probably not coming but may anyway since the ACC tournament is finished. Bevin just informed me she's making the cake. She's quite the baker. wow, no one ever told me I'd have kids some day that would make their own birthday parties then let me lay back and enjoy them. I kinda like this side of things! will just have to record Dancing with Stars and give up voting this week.

Man I wish I was there with LK and BJ.

That recipe sounds scrumptious. gonna try it. have to figure out how to get rid of some of the colors, though, or my picky eating Randall won't touch it.

Cindy, Randall is like that. became my best friend long before he was a lover. I couldn't let him move in, and I was never going to remarry. oh no, not me. One day he looked heartbroken, almost crying, said he really wanted to marry me and if I absolutely wouldn't, then he was going to have to move on and find that dream elsewhere, and not come back because he loved me too much and it hurt too much that I wouldn't have him. He didn't actually leave, but it got me looking at things with his eyes. His dream was having a family, and I was going to lose my best friend. a month later I said yes. my ex thought of everything as his, Randall thinks of things as ours (or Bonnie's in the case of irises) and everything he has as something to give me. some guys are just good.

oh, and I've always wanted to make a waterfall that leads into the pool, but haven't a clue how to do it. Joyce, I'm going to be begging for lots of photos during construction!

Raleigh, NC

just have to tell somebody, gotta tell my sistahs

Ruth Jean just came out of the bedroom dressed for dinner (casual) but we spent all afternoon de-ratting her hopelessly tangled hair and it looks great. Then she put on earrings, for the first time, with her hair pulled back to show them off. Oh she looks so grown up.

(teary now, gotta go)

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I can just see her, Bon. How sweet!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

How wonderful to be 17 nowadays, with great parents like you Bonnie.

I remember having low self esteem at that age... remember that Janis Ian's song "At Seventeen".. where she calls herself an ugly duckling? That was me too :D

I know Ruth will grow to be one secure, confident, beautiful woman!

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I'll be getting an MRI in a couple weeks. I have to wait for a referral and make an appointment. I've had knee problems since high school. When we were in the UK and walking 10+ miles a day I was taking 2400mg of IB a day, 800mg three times a day. Not good for my liver, but it let me do what I needed to. This was something new though. The Dr. said that the MRI would show anything that they could do surgery on and if it didn't show up on the MRI we could talk about other treatments. I do hope my insurance will cover getting it fixed; it would be nice not to worry about my knee when I want to do something.

Now my ankle is still having issues from when I sprained it earlier this year. I was really surprised that my ankle got poed and not my knee during the move. But, under far less heavy work my knee started feeling like there was a ball inside the back of my knee, different symptoms from my other issues. That started Friday, it would come for awhile and then go away. Yesterday it started up just with trying to get my living room sorted, nothing that should have been worse than walking, and got bad enough I had to stop; that's when I decided I had to go to the doctor.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Ooh Laura, I know exactly how it feels!
I was having problems with walking for a while. No knee pains, nor hips.. just couldn't walk for more than 5 seconds. Had to rest after a few steps only when I'm outside... my legs felt like lead! I couldn't explain to Kel what had happened.. just couldn't move. I dread shopping.. Kel had to drop me off at the front of the store, so I wouldn't be left behind, walking! Or I'll just stop abruptly after a few steps, to take a breather. No pain at all.. just the feet weigh like a ton of lead!!
Guess when I'm in the house, I could take my time, but when walking with Kel, I can't keep up with his strides.
Then I started reading up on the side effects of my meds. One said that I would have problems walking!!! Imagine that. After my doctor switched to another brand, I can act normal again but still couldn't drive for long. Thank God, Kel believed my complains.

I do hope the insurance will take care of your knee Laura. If you had to go through surgery, better that than being encumbered by a bump knee. Good luck!

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

It is wonderful to have people around you who accept what you say.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Yes it is. Sometimes Kel questions my sanity! That's expected, cause I can go to the extreme highs then, a sudden gloom!!! But when it comes to pain, or not feeling up to par.. he believes me, cause he knows I won't complain unless it's unbearable.

Well Laura, family's there to support you and prop you up and help you make whole;)

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

HI Everybody~~~~~~

Was on early this am, then left for Curves had a wonderful workout started my fit and trim workout was able to see the computer how I'm doing. I excelled in every area except for my left leg which happens to be my bad one due to degerenating disc. Burned up 417 calories, ^_^.

When I got back home I had noticed some large prints in my garden. I told Rick that it was one huge dog. Then Rick says well it was in the other yard also, so I looked out the window and I noticed some black laying in the dirt walked out to see, COW PATTIES!!!
So this afternoon when I went up to get the mail I saw the manager and talked to him. Sure enough a cow came into our mobilehome park. Paul (manager) said it was a BIG black and red one, and he had called CHP and Animal Control. CHP got PO'd at Animal comtrol because they wouldn't do anything about it . Paul said he didn't know where it came from, I told him that there is a whole big field of them behind the mobile home park. He didn't even know they were there. They've been there for almost a month now. Goes to tell ya what kind of a manager he is. I think he spends more time drinking than anything. His nose is a big purple blob, ew.

Got the results of my colonoscopy (sp), I've got diverticulitis, was told no red meats, seeds or nuts very little at a time, lots of fiber. My brother just had 4 inches of his colon removed from diverticulitis.

Some daffs in my yard.

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Well lets put it this way, it's nice to have people that at least believe that you believe what you're saying. My sanity is questioned regularly, but few people I know think I'm lying.

My brother wasn't very good about being supportive, loving, yes, but was really good at saying the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Raleigh, NC

i have been accused of that often, Laura, and I'd love to get better.

As a child, my dad made a saying for me that he said just about every week. when I set off to Boston for college, my middle sister, the artist, took a sheet of school bus yellow poster paper, used black stenciled lettering and created my own reminder to take his place. Looked like a road warning sign "Engage brain before putting Mouth in Gear."

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

lol, I suffer from that occasionally.

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Eveing Ladies..

Sorry Ive been gone all day but Max has had me very busy sorting through our closet and washing clothes before packing them away.. We kept out some things for the next 2 months but are ging ahead and packing up all teh long sleeves and anything we dont wear on a regular baisis.. Talk abut spring cleaning.. lol The attic is mosty empty except a few items and my closet well wow I never knew there as a floor in there... Tomorrow I will box up the items on the top two shelves after we go through them but most of it goes with us so its just organzing everything together.

The nieghbor informed us that she has a healthcare client whos house is in bad need of repair and that they had a gentleman offer to donate all the work for any repairs since th eman cant afford to keep it up. She says it so bad that if code enforcemant came in they would throw him out so we decided to donate any building supplies we have to his home.. We have tile we were going to use in the bathroom, grout , concretet baord, a few sheets of drywall, some older fixtures that we never got to install and a few other items that we bought so long ago I couldnt even imagine trying to locate a reciept for.. We also have a wheelchair that we are donating to him since he is renting one for 65 a month out of his disability.. Feels good to be able to help someone out even with all that is happening to us.. I cant find reciepts and most of the items were bought on clearance or off craigslist (lover doors and ect) so I figure as long as its for a good cause then we can do what we can.. Besides Im not leaving it here.. .

I have another grower comming in from Alabama and she wants most if not all of the plants that are in the ground and she is also takking the pots we need to remove.. Im excited and so is she so that will be a nice little bit of help with the expenses of moving..

Will try to catch up but please exuse my rambling over the next few weeks as Im kinda running in circles.. Taking my time and doing it right though, no worries I wont over do it I promise.

Huggs
Donna

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Donna, it is hard to keep up and pack/move at the same time. We do understand. Let us know how things are going as you get a chance.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Donna,
You and Max have big hearts, that is so sweet of you to help someone out like that when you've had so rough these past few months. Makes ya feel good when you can help others out, doesn't it? One question though, why are you waiting two months to make the move? Because of the house?

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Cindy, two months is the minimum amount of time I'd like to use to move. I don't know what they're thinking, but I hate having to move quickly.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good night LK, glad you had a good day....get a good nights sleep.
Oh, and there is a new room set up for Cedric....

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I saw it, but will save it for BJ.
Thanks

LK

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Cindy we are waiting that way we can put back enough money to make the move and pay a few months of rent when we arrive. Since we are giving the house up and going we can save everything Max makes over the next 2 months along with waiting on our income tax check to be deposited into our account. That will give us time to pack everything properly and secure a truck as wel as get my liscencse transferred so I can go to work soon after we get there as well. We need t oget the ol d88 pick up tuned up and new tires too or it wont make the trip home. Also the kids will be done with school in May for the summer so we sont be dropping them into a new school for only a few months. Personally I would like o go alot sooner but Max says we need to wait.. He makes alot of sense and doesnt want to have to rely a=on anyone for help when we get there. He is still so proud ut knows this is whats best for our family.. Im hoping if we get everything done maybe I can get him to agree to go sooner but that will all depend on what we get done and how fast.. And of course how much I beg to go home.. lol

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

You won't get kicked out of the house befor then will you?

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Shouldnt .. we havent even been to court yet but normally you get 30 days after court so we are hoping we have enough time.. But again thats why Im packing now and getting jobs lined up..

From what I hear ecause there are so many forclosures right now that the system is back logged and some peopl estay for a really long time even after being served.. I dont want to over stay but am trying to plan this move as best we can.. Trust me if I coul dget Max to go sooner i would..
