I have to say, I wish I had that dirt. My yard is hard packed and rutted to just short of being a hazardous to ankles. I'm not sure how I'm going to get it to the point I can do something with it.
Nope
That dirt has been rototillered about 6 times and I haven't even planted in it yet
Donna, you should be able to take your tree if you over winter inside…DH’s grandmother has a lemon, and a Kumquat that she kept inside in pots and had beautiful fruit every year….I would love to know what happened to those when she passed….I Love Lemons!!!
You can keep the roots and top pruned to keep it to indoor size ….that is how they keep Bonsai at what ever size they want them to be…anything from a teacup to as large a pot as you have room for.
Cindy, looks like some kind of grub, but I never saw one that big!!
OH Synda, that was a good one!!
Now they are talking snow showers again on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday........
Y U C K!!
Eww, could it possibly be some sort of moth?
Cindy the movie was about these Giant Worms underground that ate people.
Cindy.. there's a place on here for Bug ID... maybe some one there would know... it's really ugly, but I don't know what it is either.
Too cute, Laura... looks like Sage is enjoying setting up her new room.
Well, Ladies... I'm off to bed... the rain and cold has just made me wanting to be between the covers and watch some TV... I'm so ready to get this winter over with... I need to get my yard back in order after all the destruction lately.
Night BJ....
Very very strange critter for sure bu t I have no idea what it is..
I think we can take the tree as you all sadi as long as we keep it in from the cold snowy weather..
Well I think Im gonna get to sorting and cleaning out closets.. Will chat with you all tomorrow..
Hugs
Donna
I did find the bug forum and posted there. Checking out the bug files now.
Nite everyone
Night Cindy...
Night Donna....
BJ, that was at the last house.
Sorry I wasn't on. This is a one pc house. Kel decided it's his turn. Poor guy, he gets on it like once a week :D
I watched this beautiful Danish movie called "After the Wedding". I highly recommend this, and it's in English with scenes in India and Denmark.
It's about a guy, Jacob that runs an orphanage in India. He was forced to make appearance in Denmark, agreeing to an interview with a mega millionaire who wanted to finance his orphanage. When he got there, he found out that this millionare was all the time married to his ex gf and raising his daughter that he doesn't know of..
Need to know the rest of the story... if you have Netflix, borrow the film.
Think I cried a river!
Anything that crawls on earth, please stay away from me!!!!!!!
Well Stacey, like I said, it's not worth it. You'll meet people like that everywhere you go.
Thanks Judy!! Lolol.. Kel says he's pretty sure he can handle that human worm by himself!!!
Donna, God knows what's good for you and your family. When one door closes, he opens a window... I think a sistah said that. I like to say, he opens another world for you. We'll keep asking Him to do what's best for you, according to His will. Can't go wrong with that!
And you'll be closer to the twins and the other half of yours and Max family. And imagine.. that close to Stacey, Synda, Kim and Judy too!
You could also start a tropical nursery there!
Trisha and Laura, I wish there are restaurants or stores within walking distance. I had not lived in a city since I left Singapore, sure miss the convenience. If our vehicles broke down, we'll be depending on neighbors or his very distant relatives. No cab service in this one mule town!
Don't stay up too late you two ;)
Cody.. call me in the morning if you want to. I'll be home till noon. :D
I'm off to bed.. good night ladies.
Jaye, I like Olympia, it's a city but not too big of one, with lots of greenery.
Night Jaye, sleep well............
Synda, think all our sistahs and nieces are indeed a very special group... including you ;)
Night Trisha. And you sleep well too!
Laura, watch out for that swelling behind your knee. Might just be some fluid build up.
Cya'll in the morning!
Jaye, if it's still bothering me tomorrow I'll get it looked at on Monday.
Jaye,i will call you in the morning.Good night
Good night everyone!!!May God bless you all with a good night sleep.
Night Cody Dear, That might be sore come mornin.Took mine a few to get sore.
Cindy, you planted irises - check and see if iris borers are common in your area. that could be one they are deadly to irises.
Oh Donna!!!! GO BUCKS!!! My mom and Dad are both from Pickerington and Lancaster has the absolutely best county fair! It's the last one in Ohio and I haven't been in years! We will make you happy you came home to Ohio!
I had a nice thing happen to me. I had ordered some hellebores from a coop and paid for them through paypal. Well, they refunded the paypal money for some kind of problem and asked everyone to send a check. Well, I was able to do it cause it went on a credit card and didn't come from the checking account, so I said I had to drop out. I was notified that an "angel" had paid for my order and I would still get it. I was FLOORED! I don't think I even know anyone else on there! Wow, the kindness of strangers....
I stopped at an ex-bosses house yesterday. When I was separated from my job with him he had two golden retrievers. They were really, really light gold. When I stopped yesterday, there were 7 of them in his fenced in back yard and 5 of the 7 were white. They were beautiful! Most of them were from Europe. Spain and Ireland come to mind right off, can't remember what he said about the rest of them. They were so beautiful.
It's supposed to be nice today. We're going to go get the rest of the pond kit and rocks...did I tell you about that?
Laura, your new place has lots of potential! I know you'll make it a show place in no time.
Tina, I'm so happy for you and the way things have worked out with Punk boy. :O)
Finally got an unemployment check. That was gone in "poof" seconds!
Trisha, love your picture of the crocus. I have a few that were here when we moved. I need to plant some more to make a REAL statement! I have tulip leaves up but I don't see any sign of buds. If they don't bloom, I'll be digging all of them up. There's something sad about tulip leaves and no flowers...
Love you all!♥♥♥
PS Anyone heard how Deborah's DIL is doing?
Morning. I think. I got out of bed at 2 when I couldn't sleep. Been puttering. think I'm going back to bed.... birds are up singing, not used to it being dark again at this hour.
Morning Ladies
Covered in a deep layer of fog here in jax this morning but my mind feels fresh this morning.. It seems weird that one descision can make you rest easier and wow I dreamed of growing lilacs and a veggie garden in a home I have never seen.. lol
My best friend is going to start hunting for a rental for us in the area and she said she would even talk with landlords for us and explain whats happening and that we are looking to rent and pay a few months in advance to show good faith since our credit is shot now.. Her mom rents a edroom home in th earea for $325 a month????? I knew it was chaep and was hoping for 5-600 but half that would be great heck at that rate we could save enough to pay at leasy 6 months or more. Th etruck rental will run us 500 for 4 days and that woul dbe more than enough time to get it packed, drive home and unpack easy..
Joyce your right about the county fair.. I miss that the most about home well that and the pumpkin show in circleville.. So many things about a small town that just keep making me wanna go home more.. I looked it up last night and the property values are still going up in the area as well as the fact that there are only 15000 people in teh town versus the 1 mil here.. I miss the country..
Sounds like this Buckeye is "coming home"! Can't wait to meet you and hug in person!
Psssttt....don't listen to Kim....she SAYS she's going to come visit, then..she's GONE! (Just kidding, know you had that tooth thingy, but I better be on the list for NEXT time!)
Ya no Joycet you can drive to my house t
Its only 5 hours

Hugs
Kim
PS I have to go back to the Dentist this week My crown came in and they will be tapping for Maple Syrup when I get there something I always wantted to see and Do
LOL your right if I have my way we will definately be comming home.. Visitors always welcome after we get settled of course..
Well, I found out that, that creepy crawler is a Termite Queen and can live up to 25 years.
ewww Cindy .. Its a good thing that you got it out and took care of it.. You did squish it right...
No I put it in a bird bath. I wanted to see if a bird would eat it. I'm going outside to see if it's still there.
It's still there, but not moving too much. Maybe when the birds come out they'll eat it. We have some ravens that sit in our big oak tree waiting for raod kill. The main street is just the side of our fence that leads to the Air Force base, is road kill haven. Last week end I was out there and OMG there was something on the road and it stunk sooooooooooooo
bad I had to quit working. Nothing worse than the smell of dead animals. Skunks are the main thing.
Ewww seriously gross... lol Skunks are definaetly a nasty critter and really bad when they are dead but I havent seen one since I moved here.. We get dead armadillos for the most part..
Well gonna get running have closets t oclean and work to be done..
Huggs
Donnna
Morning everyone!
Cindy, I'm yet to see a skunk around here. Now, possums, we have plenty of. At least they don't stink.
Yep Cookie, angels come in many forms! Especially the unseen ones!
That's the attitude Donna. Keep having hope and faith.
When we're face with circumstances that are difficult, be it illness, financial or relationship.. don't get paralyzed ! Pray, think outside the box, plan for something that will help you out and pray again!
Where ever our place in life may be... keep hope and faith going.
Deborah, report in will you? Let us know how your DIL is.
Hope you all have a great Saturday!
Heading out the door.. see you all ladies later!
