Everyone but me has gone to bed :o( Even my family... Oh well I have other stuff to do.
Geez what a bunch of night owls we have. LOL, I'm lucky if I can stay awake past 9:00. As a matter of fact I went to bed at 8:00 right after I watched "Survivors". I have tried many times to stay up later to try and sleep in, pppfffhhh all I do is toss and turn.
Talk about gray hair. I had been coloring mine, but I've decided to let it grow out, JUST to see how much I have. My temple are totally white. I think my Dad compeletly white when he was 35.
Morning all
Well I think Im finally getting over this nasty bug I have had all week .. Maybe now I will be able to focus on getting a few things one.. Dont worry I wont over do it and make myself sick again.. Today we are takiing the bird to my friend who is gonna take her donw to tampa to try to sell her.. Breaks my heart but we need to do something and Max doesnt have time for her with the crazy hours he has been working anyway ( I cant touch her or barey get her food without being bitten).. Gotta get Maxs check today, hit the store for essentials so I can d o laundry and ect after he wakes up..
Need to color my hair too! Sad at 30 years old I have a white streak down the center of my head.. My sister ( years older) finds it halarious.. I just tell her its becuase I ived my life and she still has a ways to go.. Shes one of the lucky (in her opinion) ones who married the first boy she ever really was serious with at 17 and has 2 kids and lives way above their means.. I just hope it doesnt all come crashing down on them the way life happens to us..
O MY GOSH My nephew turned 17 this week and I forgot how sad am I .. lol
Say a prayer for Punk boy and my Oldest daughter today. They go to court for Guardianship today. Its a tough judge and it is possible that they take him into the system to investigate. If that happens he will go to foster care for the Min. of 2 weeks. He has come so far being with her the past 6 weeks.
Tia sending up prayers for your DD and GS.. May the judge see the changes in the last few weeks..
Huggs
Good Morning!
I need to color my hair again too. My dad started going white when he was about 30, and I've been going white since I was about 30. I'm about half white half brown. My red highlights went white!
Well my next door neighbor is doing better and I think she's ready to make a decision. He still hasn't been home, which is good. I asked her if she's even talked to him, she said yes and he said he'll stay out of the house except to get his things, they're going to meet somewhere on Saturday and have a chat.
I've got to get my coffee going and start work.
TGIF!!!!!!
I wanted to say before I clicked on Send, judges can make the wrong decisions very easily. My thoughts and prayers are going out to Punk Boy and your Daughter, and hoping the judge sees the changes he has made.
Today's Friday the 13th and the office is freaking out LOL!
Good Morning All
Synda is that the Geico guy? lol
Well this is the Day My Dad comes home so I think I should go up there. and I will go up there Things are moving so fast I am just happy its going the wright way.
Sending prayers Tia all will work out for the best Please keep us informed
Well I have to gi heat up some coffee be back later
HugsKimmy
Morning peeps !!!
Gray hair... I don't know why people think they have to color it. I believe it's God's way of identifying the wiser of us. I think gray hair is a distinguished trait.
I started going gray in my 20s... started just above my ears, and crept up to the crown of my head till it met in the middle. Well, not quite... I have one spot just above my forhead that refused to to turn... so, I'm leaft with a streak of light brown right down the middle when I pull my hair back.
My little brother started going gray when he was 11... when he graduated from high school he was salt and pepper... and when he got married at 25 he was completely gray... and it really looks so good on him.
Speaking of hair... going to get mine cut today.
Gonna be busy... Don's home... Mike's gets a sport physical today... gonna rain... gotta get some groceries in the house...
Tia Tina... seems like they'd rather place that baby with a relative rather than strangers... do you think they'll let him stay with you while they investigate?
I sure hope they do. The state is funny sometime. There is a "dad" involved so the courts do not want to take him away from him, which he is not much involved with Punk. the dad is suppose to get a letter signed that it is the best for Punk to be with his aunt and he has no problem with it. But we will see if he did that or not. The DHS said IF they got involved they would take him into state custody to investigate the "new" home he would be in. The DHS was called by the school because of when his mother had him he was tardy to school or missed school and smelled of "chemicals". They said if the mom were to get him back then they WOULD get involved. I am not sure if they have sent their review to the courts or not. They did a walk thru at my house and at my oldest daughters house.
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. We will know around 10 am. I am a nervous wreck. My oldest daughter asked me NOT to be there in case her sister does show up and she will get defensive. We got into a knock down drag out last time I seen her. And I will do it again.
Morning! and BYE - gotta fly to get my fav instructor in aquatics class
Morning everyone!!!

So if the dog is still having problems please post and let me know and I will see what I can help with...I just want you to remember I am not a vet. I may be able to help... How old is the dog? Kimmie glad to hear everything is going well!
Big (((((HUGS)))) Susan.....get out of that shell and back with us soon.
Crissy, Hope things work out well for your neighbor.
Jaye, what are you up to today?
Waving to everyone.
I have to take a drive out to the dump with Bill's mother....she is trying to get some things cleaned out of her garage.
Friday the 13th already reared its' ugly head on me!!! I need to tell you all what had happened to me this morning.. so sorry you all just have to read this before I go on to the more important stuffs!
This morning, when I alight from the box truck @ WM to do a little shopping, a tissue flew off from the truck's floor and onto the road. A couple stopped me before I can land the other foot and pointed to the tissue. Well, it was just ONE small used Kleenex tissue, and I just sweep it off with my foot away from oncoming traffic in the parking lot. They were aghast and threatened to call the police on me and said I was littering!!! I told them that I can't bend and it's just a tissue. Not happy with my reply, the man again threatened me... Not to give them anymore of my important time.. and we were already in a hurry... I called Kelvin who wasn't paying attention in the truck.. pointed the tissue and asked him to pick it up.
The wife hurriedly pushed her husband when she saw this BIG GIANT AMERICAN.. and they literally ran to the store!!!!! They thought I was a Mexican in the first place :*(
I ran into them again in the store, and noticed the hard faces they both have. Truly felt sorry for them and knew right away they must be some unhappy people. Left them to the Lord, and 3 minutes later, my day returns to normal, when I met 3 quilters!!!
But Kel came into the store after he'd finished with picking up supplies, and was looking for the couple.. wanting to confront them. Told him it's not worth it, just to let it go, not to be as stupid as they are.. just over a tissue! You see folks, he heard of discriminations, but now that it happened to me, it kinda 'slapped' him on the face. Kel said, if that man was a gentleman, and hearing my explanation, could have picked it up himself and threw it away.. instead of calling me a "Cucaracha". (Is that the right spelling?)
Okay...the important stuffs!!
No way I could leave you without your gift, Laura. We all know life happens, and I truly don't mind 'inheriting' you. As for you looking like a teen and wanting some grey so you'd be treated as an adult. Well, I sure like to have a young body for my juvenile mind!!!
YES I do rely on Aunt Clairol!!! I can't be walking around with a mop of grey.. at least I don't dye my hair blonde!!
Donna, my oldest nephew turned 20 tomorrow. Wonder how he would react to an Aunt with red hair!!! Lol!!
Tina-Tia.. I hope it's favorable news. Punk Boy needs to be growing up with his family and not strangers.
Kim, a big hug to you our sistah!! The good news of finally owning your first home, and now, your dad returning! Lesser stress.
Susan, when you don't feel up to talking, you can just type a hello. No need to respond to anything. Need a hug.. here (((((((Susan)))))
I certainly hope that your new doctor will work out for you.
Hi Trisha!! Hi LK!! Hi Crissy!! Hi Cody!! Hi Judy!! Hi Deborah!! Hi Maid M!! Hi Synda.. and to those that I might miss!
I know Debra's busy planning her 3rd RU. So.. who's going?
We've been missing you Stacey.. hope you feel better. Please don't disappear too long.
Sis Kathy.. time for you to resurface.

Hello everyone. We are back from the trip, and all is well. I just have to make workers comp happy with a doctors visit every 3 to 4 months. So we go up and have a great meal at Outback Steakhouse. Steaks were so tender last night, and dad enjoys the ribs!
It is still raining here, and cool, but no complaints, as I know it will be hot soon enough!
Kim, congrats on the house! You will be settled in, in no time.
We won't talk about greyhairs here. I color mine all the time, and change colors when I feel like it. Right now it is light auburn!
Now I can't remember all I read, but hope you all are doing well, and staying out of trouble!
LK
Never had ribs at Outback. Got to try that.. I know the steaks are good. Kel's favorite place would be Sticky Fingers.
Is anyone here near tucsan, arizona? I am going to drive out there in a few weeks, and was just wondering if anyone is close by. My Dads Aunt lives there. She is 86 years old, and he wants to see her, before too many more years go by.
Laura, welcome back. We missed you.
LK
I lost y'all again! We've had snow and sleet here sinceThurs. It's warming up now, 41*.
My daughter, Lisa, came Sun. night and stayed till Wed. night. We really had a good time!
I have a staph infection on my back. Dr. gave me STRONG antibiotics. UGH!! They make me sleepy! None have ever done that before!
no no no - you keep all that sleet, Aud- we don't need it! TN always sends us their weather.... drat! it's cold raining here, so maybe it's on its way already.
Jaye, ain't no way baby that you look Mexican! someone needs new glasses. LOL folks like that - they are the Pharisees of the modern world. Girl, you are so much better than them, and I just adore your words to Kel.
Prayers for Susan and Tia. And for Kim that she doesn't have a stroke worrying over this home purchase.
Glad you had a good B'day Phyllis. So, did Banderas show up? (giggle)
BJ, I thought your hair looked great. have managed to lose my camera! I'm praying like mad I didn't leave it in the rental car. otherwise I would have posted those photos. My hair, on the other hand, is far too long in your photos. Didn't realize I need a cut so bad. Mine is usually more like a man's cut - too many years working security, it's just easier.
With your diabetes, you better take all the meds Audrey! We're slow to heal and fast to get infections! How is Lisa doing?
Yep, keep the snow... sleet.. ice.. It's cold enough here already. In the 40's but feeling like 20's with the winds.
Bonnie, I be proud to be a Mexican than a Pharisee!!!
Yes, it is so trivial..
Tia, they have my prayers.
Crissy, I’m 30 and they’re turning up. They aren’t noticeable by others yet. I mainly find them because they’re thicker and more kinky, grayish silver for me.
Susan, I at least don’t mind you dropping your problems on me. I’ve been there a lot and it does help to talk.
Jaye, I’ve always been a contradiction. I go back and forth between being a teenager and a critical matron.
Thanks again for the gift!
Linda, thanks, I’ve missed all of you.
Here are top 10 reason to wish winter away
10. The birds are getting hungry and birdseed supply is getting low.
9. Muscles are aching from too much snow shoveling (and there's no room to put the shoveled snow).
8. Can’t tell if that’s snow on the car or road salt.
7. Sweaty feet from wearing boots all the time.
6. More hours of daylight! Get out and enjoy.
5. Too many movie/TV nights. No more couch time. Let's get outside and enjoy
some of nature’s entertainment.
4. Green grass is a much better and happier color.
3. The ability (and desire) to go outside without bundling up in layers. ^_^
2. Smell of spring flowers and the return of leaves. ^_^
1. Fishing/gardening and baseball season. ^_^
I'm so ansy to get to planting that I thought I'd better check with the Farmer's Almanac to make sure there won't be any more frost dates for my area. I found this that might interest some of you.

RAIN,RAIN GO AWAY COME BACK AGAIN SOME OTHER DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
again I say, not to disagree with y'all sweet gals, but I've EARNED every one of these grey and white hairs, got them after fifty, and I flaunt them. Mom (82) "treats" me (she insists) to a pro hair coloring before Christmas each year.
However, I may have to rethink this. I got ma'am'ed coming out of the Y this afternoon. Inside, I'm just one of the girls...
Jaye, our YMCA is about 99% caucasian. In AOA, we are an affable bunch, but I've noticed some are less so toward different races. Yesterday I said a welcoming hello to a new dark face (usually Jenny does this, but she wasn't there) Today I encouraged her to join me in the deep end, but she wouldn't leave the shallows. After class I apologized if I pushed too hard. we talked for over 30 mins. "Mary" is a hoot. New friend?
When it comes to people, I'll take a welcoming smile over whatever skin traits they have any day. Guess it helped being a Jones girl growing up. Let the rest keep up with me....
I have never thought of gray hair as a sign of wisdom-some of the dumbest, most ignorant people I have met are gray haired.....
TANTE-I am with Kel-I would have found that couple and made them feel very dumb for the words they issued upon you with no just cause...then I would have skipped-yes skipped-away singing La Cucaracha!! Whenever someone is mean to me that is bascially what I do-make them feel stupid for their actions and then skip away merrily as if now I have peace and they are the ones unsettled...
I AM STILL SO UPSET by that mean couple-and SO WHAT if you were Hispanic?? Hispanic does NOT equal illegal alien as some ignorant americans think!! My BFF is hispanic and I love every ounce of her, her family and her heritage-if I was claoser I would come pick up uncle Kel and we would find them!!
And I would have dropped another kleenex if I were you and then walked away....I might have wiped my butt with it first too;)
Cindy-I think a nice seating area would be wonderful in that yard space as it is so shaded...
BJ-the daff in the middle pic looks to be pink charm-it is a very dark pink...
The reason the yard workers, white and hispanic don't take off their shirts is that it is actually cooler-the sun is not heating their skin, so a breeze will cool thier shirt, it protects from sunburn which yes even hispanic workers can get, and helps to prevent skin cancer....
The Story Tellers are getting ready to begin a new story. They are really good....you should bookmark this site...and go back and read their first story if you haven't already..
There are to be NO Comments on the story thread, they give a link to their comments site if anyone wants to comment on anything during the story......
I really got sucked into the first one, now I can't wait for this second one to start!!

Well, Todd and I were both born on the 13th. I was born on 13 June, and Todd is 13 November, so it is a lucky number for both of us.
