Garden photos of '09.....#6
Looking promising, Jen. Not familiar with sunny twinkles. Very macho sounding.
maybe this weekend some snow will melt and i'll see something in my yard
from last year i HOPE!
never heard them called that before Jen.... can't remember the name of them... but the prior owner left me ONE of those... I am surprised it did not multiply
is that not Scilla or chionodoxa? I know that plant. just give me a minute to clear the foggy brain!

lol.... glad that i'm not the only one!
^_^
yeah that's the one!
That one is not familiar to me. I thought it was another minor bulb.
Sounds Russian. That's why Jen has it!
Beautiful, Sherry!
I like how sometimes the flower color pattern matched the foliage. Other times it's a nice contrast.
Thanks Victor! I so wanted to be able to step closer to get a better look at some of the plants!
that's true. It seems to be that the black and red ones have it happen the most. I wish that it would actually last through the summer, but we'll take what we can get!
all very pretty RC
Can't complain about the bloom length. It's very long. And it starts through the snow!
Thanks Allison. You are both up late!!! if you're going to be up longer, I will be putting up a few more pictures in a bit.
Mine don't like to start in the snow. the Micha will. the rest of mine are wimps I guess! :-p
Jen....nice Puschkinia! Mine came up late last year (early April I think) but I planted them late.
First white crocus bloomed today. A surprise because they are in a corner between the front and side porches. Not much sun. I didn't think it was a good place for bulbs but the squirrels must have. That's the only way they got there.
I was surprised about the sedum and Victor said they emerge early along with hostas and dicentras.
I checked the other sites ,no hostas but dicentra is just peeking.
We still have frozen ground 1 inch down.
The next couple of days in 40's and 50's with predicted rain altho not much, should bring some of the plants up.
No sign of new bulbs but they are all on the side of the house that hets sun later in the season.
It must be such a treat for the eyes to go to the nursery.
Thanks for the encouragment.
I was up late... but slept a little later this morning... love them all but this one I realllllyyyy love
