see I love the heat I am one of those people that never sweat and just get darker in the sun I can take over 100F before I even look for shade, I was made for tropical country but got stuck born in canada lol I was in floriday in july and it seemed I was the only one out at 2pm sitting out in the sun lol everyone else was inside or at least in the shade what a waste of good weather

Consider Death Valley for your next vacation.

Victor....that is prunus mume "trumpet" . Ok not really a flowering "cherry" tree, but how many can really tell the difference in the ornamental fruit trees?? :-p

Scicci. It's really good that there are folks that like that sort of heat. It's good for Texas!! I can tolerate the stuff. But, I don't prefer it, that's for certain!!

I asked the doctor about it and she says it has to do with very low blood presure the cold skin and that the bugs dont find me since she explained that they sense body heat to find dinner lol
hubby says my hands and feet are dead from october to may since they are always blue and cold
I have socks and slippers on and they are still frozen hahahhaha

hahaha......

that's sort of like my vocabulary with four letter words. rarely heard during normal conversation. However, when upset.....well, let's just say others are usually surprised.

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

I am ravaged by mosquitoes. I get huge welts from them.

Good morning!
After a beautiful week end that felt so much like Spring, we ended up with six inches of snow and ice again yesterday. How depressing!

On Sunday, I just couldn't resist walking out to the back hill with Anna. We wanted to see if anything was 'green', or if it had even melted there yet. Sure enough, we had a small patch of beautiful looking mud, with one day lily shoot just barely peeking up. Now? ... oh well.

I just had to drag out my photo of my Valentine-blooming Amaryllis, to help me feel better.

That's a cheerful shot! Karen---what part of Texas are you thinking about? It's such a huge state, I'm sure there's a huge variety in weather conditions. Our friend's daughter lives in Austin---she'd never come back to CT.
