LK-that is the dahlia pattern-isn't it pretty-I want to do it in Black and whites and then make the outer border out of the spider mum fabric...and Audrey-Mom is right-that is why I wanted the templates-for 96 squares, I will need them too-some of the fabrics-the accent ones-I will be able to do lickety split, but the others, not so much....

Tante-you are welcome:) There is another pkg coming from mom and me:) I found something I thought you had to have and we pitched in on it:)

BJ & Bonnie-looks fun!!

If I did decide to join the batik block swap, I already have the pattern-found it in a mag Auntie M sent Mom and mom said from the directions looked totally easy!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Posted that just so you could see what a quaint little town we have. Quaint but very interesting shopping!! Of course, anyone is welcome--especially if you want to help with the festival. Almost finished with the big push then a breather until the 19th. I miss you ladies!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Marion, do you have the fat quarter fabric pictures yet?
I know your busy, but we would love to see them.

Thanks Jaye, sounds like you enjoyed your day.I hope you enjoyed that movie it is good.I was out side today and planted my Camellias that needed to be planted. It was a beauitful day today so i was outside enjoying it.

Well good night everyone!!!!Bundle up and stay warm tonight.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Night Cody.....looks like we may have a good rain coming in. They had thunder storms all around us today but we had sunshine or light clouds here....it was wonderful to not have to move stuff in the rain in an open truck!

Coushatta, LA

Good night Trisha,i wish it would rain here it is so dry.At lease you got a break today from moving.

Mornin Girls

serving up hot coffee and hot water for tea or cocoa with fresh bakery goods *S*

Thanks for the words of encouragement yesterday it sure helps to have support someplace.
these people just don't get it yesterday one of the gals under me on my team put across the radio a comment in regards to another driver on my team...I don't know what the deal is but driver #1 has seemed to have an issue about driver #2 and the way she parks and such.
I have talked wtih both of them and talked with #2 about the parking and she is within her white lines and is even trying to move over in the lines to give #1 more room as they seem to think they ned alot of room to go between the buses.
#1 always sounds mad at the world and defensive when ever you hear her or talk to her ...the boss man and T3 the route person and driver hire r person talked with #1 last night on it and of course my name came up as she did talk to me and I told boss just what had been said to me the way it was said and what my action was on it.

Ya know I do not care ....I really don't care what your skin color is we all bleed the same color and our insides are all the same some just have a better tan then others...so race does not play a part in my job to me at all ...there is good and bad in all and when someone new join s us why can't others be nice and introduce themselves and offer a hand to help them out if needed instead of taking on the "I've been here longer so I am better then you" or the "dang yankee comein into my territory from outside of Texas" ...geez we all came form someplace else in the beginning.

anyway I am not going to let these negative things keep me down I'm just giving it all to the lord and doing as he guides me to do.

Everyone have a super day and be safe
(((((HUGS)))))

Good Morning ladies!!
Thanks for breakfast Phyllis.. here's praying behavioural quirks will soon improve at yours and Crissy's workplace! Another good advice in the Good Book is, love those you rather hate, in doing this, it's like heaping hot coals on their heads..

Well I did post something last night before I went to bed, but DG gremlins ate them up :(

Enjoyed the movie.. you're right Cody, it's a good one!! We laughed so much, even Lola was fascinated!

Niece, you're already spoiling me tooooooooooo much!!!! I

Trisha, hope you can take some rest today. You're not in your 20's remember :D

Will be busy, busy, busy today. That dreaded 2 letter word!! Have a good day ladies!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Well it's time for me to head to Curves, TTYL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning Phyllis and Jaye, thanks for the coffee.
I think we all have or had one of these persons to work with. I hope you find a solution soon.
Trisha you were up late last night. Hope you get the moving done soon.

SO what are you all up to today?

LK

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Morning !!!

Well, they're on the way to deliver my pavers this morning... YIPPIE...
We started digging yesterday to lay the walk way, but decided pretty quick to rent a skid loader. It would take us forever to dig all this by hand... and renting the machine would be cheaper than hiring it done. So, probably this weekend... and also a "yippie" is that my oldest son called to say he'd be here this Saturday to help...

Phyllis... just childish bickering is all that is... the less it's fed into, the sooner it will end. I'll never forget the time I worked in an office where a new girl was hired, and another lady that had been there 12 years didn't like her. She was very vocal about her dislike for her. The boss insisted that none of the rest of us get involved, and about 3 months later, they became really good friends. The older lady felt threatened that the younger one was taking part of her job away. As it turned out, the older lady realized that the company was just growing, and the boss was redistributing the work load.

Well, got to get busy... ya'll all have a good day.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning BJ, glad to hear you got your pavers on the way, and that your son will be there to help out! Don't forget the before and after pictures!

LK

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, yea... I always forget the before pic... I'll go do that now.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Phyllis, BJ's right, just childish crap. I'm not sure what's wrong with my office's bickering, it's not really bickering, just flat out annoying.

I'm listeneing to XM Sirius Radio, 60's music, and they're playing "Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" I haven't heard that song in years!

Jaye what movie was it?

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Yes BJ, before and after pics, I forget to do that altogether, then decide to take a picture 2 years after the fact lol!

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

I am still here girls, nothing really to say same crap different day.

One good thing not sure I mentioned it before but Punk boy is now living with my oldest daughter(not his mother) and she is Due the end of August first of September. Her actual due date is September 1st which is Punks birthday he will be 6................gosh how time flies.

He is doing SO MUCH better in school now, he is not getting into trouble as much as I told him last weekend that if the school called me I would come up to the school and let his little bottom know what is wrong. He told me Monday (I get him off the school bus everyday after school) he didnt get into trouble cause he didnt want nana to give him a spanking.

Just doing some sewing, gardening, hatching chickens, collecting eggs.

Have a great day 75 today and 87 tomorrow. :)

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Morning everyone......hey, it's still morning! We had sun for a bit...starting to fog up for a bit but the sun should come back, at least for a bit....the rest of the week is supposed to be mostly rain.

Phyllis and Crissy, a big (((HUG))) to you both....one of the reasons we gave up our our jobs with the big bike companies......decided no amount of pay was worth all the bickering and infighting that went on.....don't miss all the stress at all.

Sage spent the night last night and we are getting ready for school. She didn't even give me any grief about brushing her hair and putting it in a pony tail.....of course I have threatened to take her in on payday this week end and get her a very short haircut if she isn't going to brush her hair properly...I cannot abide hair that looks like a rats nest!

Sound familiar Tia, she's brushing her hair well so grandma #1 won't brush it for her and #2 won't take her in and get her a very short haircut!

Dad will be picking Sage up for school soon....
Mother in law isn't too happy...told her we need to go to Curves early today....Nine O'clock...oh my! Generally she considers 10 to be early....but I told her it's that or I can't go.
We have our annual Church Bazzar this weekend. One of our friends who usually works to get things set up is sick, so mom and I have bee recruited to help.....then it is back to Laura's to see what we can get done before they leave for Seattle. Sage has her visit with her mom tonight then she is back over here for the evening.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Morning everyone!! Well, afternoon by now;)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LK, since you ask... I'm washing, drying and ironing YARDS of quilt fabrics. In between that.. checking online for security fixtures.. waiting for Maid M. to post pics...

Found some great patterns online.. like I need more with the books I have here.

Hi Tina.. glad to know you're still in the coops!!!
If I were to have granbabies, I think I'll be just as firm as you and Trisha!

Thanks for the dmail.. gonna take care of that Niece! So, what are your plans today?

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I dunno-I was up til 6am reading a book this am-have the other 2 in the series and want to devour them as well, but I am watching an auction that would get me all the books by this author and if so will have to return the other 2 books I bought yesterday....have to go to Joann's and see if the fabric I got last week is now on sale to get a partial refund or return it all;) Need to figure out what to make for dinner, get some vacuuming done-have other things I should be doing, but not really feeling 100% yet from Monday and last night, so not sure what all I will accomplish today yet...just doing your fabric Tante??

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

I don't know if you can really call it bickering here either it's more of a jealousy thing or an issue fo stirring up rumors on people that are not true at all just because they see you talking to someone on a daily basis in an office and they dont have any idea what the conversation is about

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Stacey, why do you need to return your fabric? You change your mind?
Hope you get rid of that headache soon!
LK

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Niece, did you get your package from Kel?
Or are you still in shock over his selections??? Lol!!!

Phyllis, why not do a reverse psychology on them. One day just include them in the convos and pretty soon they'll leave you alone :D Insecure people are always paranoid ;)

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

You can return cut fabric? Boy not down here you can't patterns either.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Ah I love hugs, thank you so much!!

On my end it's a competing issue, she wants to compete with everything and everybody, especially me! I work for the Government and considering the market right now, I'm glad I do!

She got all over someone today because they're not eating Low Fat stuff, like She is. She says that everything she eats is no to low fat. Yuk. I think I'm going to compete my way downstairs to the deli to get a piece of chocolate silk pie with mounds of whipped cream.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sounds like a grand idea Crissy! Have an extra serving for me!
BTW it was Beverly Hills Chihuahua that we watched last night. Some kid shows are truly adult entertaining as well.

Stacey, you're lucky if they accept cut fabrics. Even the quilt shops around here don't do that. Once cut, no returns.

For those that are curious as to where Tina in MB is.. she's having the cruds :( Another sistah fallen victim.
Sis Kathy, hope your whole family has recovered fully.
Sistah Judy, I do hope you're okay.. not for you to be this quiet!!!
Guess we'll be doing cruds report until spring comes around.. then we'll be doing allergies report!

Think I've pressed more than 50 yds. Right shoulder about to give out.
It's about time to get steaks ready for Kel to grill when he returns.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I will be very upset if Joann's has the fabric I got last week on sale and won't take them back or make up the difference-I haven't cut it yet-still the way they cut it-I know that other stores do as long as you haven't cut it any more...

I won't return it if they pay the difference if it is on sale-it looked like form their ad it was...

Tante-I haven't gotten my mail yet this week-tomorrow I will as I have to go grocery shopping...

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I've heard that is a cute movie! Oh good grief, she's walking around the office talking with her tongue hanging out of her mouth, that's attractive.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Hi everybody! Sorry I haven't been on in a while, I DO read, though! I've just been in an awful slump, but I think I'm coming back up a little, now! Dr. gave me Buspar for my nerves yesterday, I slept till 1:00 PM today, and I can't hold my eyes open right now! Wanted to work on my quillow, should have been through with it! Think I'll take a wittle nap! As soon as I get some sound sleep, I think I'll be OK. I'm going to see another dr. tomorrow about my sleep apnia. I almost strangled to death night before last. This stuff is getting worse. My throat closes up and I stop breathing. Some nights I wake up every 30 min. 'cause I don't breathe. I think there's an obstruction somewhere in my breathing passages. He'll find it, if there is!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Oh my Audrey that could be dangerous, I'm glad you're waking up. Let's hope he finds it quickly.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Have that checked Audrey! My throat closes up some nights, and I know it's due to GERD. Sometimes I wake up gagging!!! Scared me every time.. until I get some air.. a little at a time. When my head stays propped on two pillows or when I'm taking my Protonix, that won't happen.
Take care and when you're through with that quillow, post a pic will you?

Crissy, at least you still have your sense of humor!!

Coushatta, LA

Woohooo indeed Cody!! Mocha must be happy to finally join her family!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

It's a good thing Crissy can take that lady in stride and laugh. If not Crissy's blood pressure would be sky high.

Glad Mocha is better!

You ironed a heap of fabric Jaye!

I just finished scrouring down my kitchen cabinets stove counters and dodads.

Coushatta, LA

Hey Jaye, yes she is.We have been loving on her everyday any way.I'm just glad she is healthy and with us.

Thanks Deborah.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL I'm always smiling, I've had people, especially negative people, say, "Why are you smiling and laughing all the time?" Because I want to, we only live once, why be down about it?

I'm too young to have blood pressure problems, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! I do have an ulcer, it doesn't bother me too much anymore but about 10 years ago I thought I was going to die from it.

OK, it just keeps getting better. I just got word that my mom called my dad on what would have been their anniversary date and said, "It would have been our 37th anniversary today!" They've been divorced for 10 years, my mom has been remarried for 10 years and my dad's been with his current girlfriend for a couple of years now, Why in the World would she do that??? They talk periodically, her husband used to have a problem with it but not anymore, and his girlfriend just takes it in stride and doesn't worry about it. But Why in the World would you Do That???

My parents have literally taught me what not to do.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

There you are Deborah.. I was just wondering if you hadn't ran away with a baseball team!!!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Deb-when you coming to scour mine??

Cody-that is great and I am sure she will be happier to be around you all too:)

Coushatta, LA

Thanks Stacey,i'm glad she is able to be around us now.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Crissy, at one time your parents like each other enough to marry!!
Well, people would call it strange, even my old church wouldn't understand. BUT my ex and I still talk. He calls to see how we're doing, will do anything if asked. Even gets along with Kel! Supposed to come down in a month to visit! We weren't meant to stay married, but we get along as friends. Talk about burying the hatchet!!!

See me later everyone.. steaks are done..
