Cathy wow your really lucky that your family is ok.. Im sorry to hear about your house but that can be fixed much easier than family being hurt..

Been a busy morning with Max away working days (for today at least) and the kids at school.. I ran out paid the power bill, went and paid home owners insurance (last payment for a few months at least), went to dollar general for carpet cleaner since Bella ates the carpet in teh dining room, got gas in the truck and have started in on cleaning the house. Next up is the carpet..

Well I better run I get more done with the house empty..

OK Sewing question I am going though my closet and have struck it rich with Holy jean most of them are split in the butt the knees and all other parts of the jeans are fine on a couple of pairs I try ed a iron on and when I wash they come off and stick to my butt. I do have extra that can be cut up should I turn them inside out and sew patches won't that look dumb.

Kim, My son had some like that. My aunt Lisa sewed patches from a Segrum 7 felt/velvet bottle holder. All the young guys his age thought his jeans were the 'bomb'. You might try it with plain fabric and use that same plain in a scarf or hair bow. Will look like they were bought that way..

I meant to say plaid or another material you like : )

You could do it like a rug quilt too and make more patches on them that weren't there just to enhance the look.

I'm out of ideas now.

There's some strong fabric glue you could get at WM, Kim!! Then when you're at the sewing/crafts dept. you can get a few embroidered patches. They're iron on stuffs!! Lolol.. I can see Kim making sure she got her cocktails by her side when she's patching!

Cindy, sometimes I wish Kel knows how to sew. Then he can help me with all these projects I have around me.. but then, I might end up ripping what he had sewn :(

Morning (Afternoon) everyone! I don't want to move today but guess I have to....need to see if I can get some things done around here before Laura calls.....curious to #1 See how much they got done last night, #2 See if the work is getting started on their bathroom floor so they can get completely moved. I need her to get moved because we have a lot of projects we need to get done and we need to get our work shop sorted out and get going on them!!

Cathy hope you get good news from the doctors.....so sorry about the house....thankfully you all are safe. I really would have someone check the structural integrity of the house very carefully, before they bother with the roof......won't do much good to put on a new roof if the rest of the structure isn't safe.......will keep you all in our prayers.

Well niece Cody, we have Stir Fried Veges with Beef, Pan Fried Dumplings and BBQ Pork Lo Mein. Got so much left overs.. so there's enough for supper too. AND, the kids had Chicken Teriyaki on sticks... must never forget them!

Cathy everyone is right about your house, once the roof is removed like that the whole house could just fall in, as it was put to me. I don't understand how that could happen, but I don't build houses, and there's a big reason for that!

I was packing for my business trip and my three year old daughter was having a wonderful time playing on the bed. At one point she said, 'Daddy, look at this' , and stuck out two of her fingers.

Trying to keep her entertained, I reached out and stuck her tiny fingers in my mouth and said, 'Daddy's gonna eat your fingers,' pretending to eat them.

I went back to packing, looked up again and my daughter was standing on the bed staring at her fingers with a devastated look on her face.

Well, off to check on the chili then I think I'll paint my nails with some new polish I got. Just felt like spurging at the drug store. Saved money though, I could have bought the polish at a department store and spent alot more for it. My reasoning anyway.
