Well this is a first for me... I am the first person to post... Well I did house work all day today and it does not look like I did a thing... Well I am still waiting for the snow... We had some sleet and a few snow flurries but nothing much... The winds are kicking up now ... Most of the schools are closed already for tomorrow... I can drive down the road about 10 to 15 mins and they have like 3 inches but not us here...
I really liked the baby diaper cake... Great idea.... Ok going to rest my back... LOL I will be back tomorrow and I hope all are doing well...

That's right, Jaye... if Paul Harvey and my mom got married, I wouldn't even exist... they'd have had other children... but not me... LOL.
Wasn't meant to be with them... I suppose.

We got about half the rocks sorted out... and I have the rougher ones in the vibrating tumbler now to try to smooth them... it'll take a couple days... but Mike and I agree that it would work, because that's how rocks get smooth in nature by rubbing against each other in the river... so, we're just simulating a river in the tumbler... right?

Rest up Susan. Where are you driving tomorrow?

Jaye, did you get a lot of sewing done today?

Typical for our area, we got a pretty dusting last night and it was all gone by noon today.

Quiet day today. Spent a good part of the day finishing my quilt top. Got it done and is ready for Friday's class. Took a short nap. Just finished dinner. Will sit down for some tv time, then off to bed. I like these lazy days.

Hi Jaye, you asked before.....Samatha is doing well so far, her court date isn't until later this month....we will pray for a good outcome.

Laura and I spent the day ferrying boxes to the new house then getting more things ready to move. My son in law and his boss just got to the house from work, my son is there and I figured with my back feeling the way it does the best thing for all was for me to bring Sage home with me and get her out of the way. They will pick her up when they are done for the night. Sure hope they get most of the big stuff tonight!

Just a quick check in tonight. Im wiped out from all teh running around .. lol

The gang just picked up Sage. It has been a long night....the guys took the first load of furniture to the new house....Dave, their friend with the truck, managed to run into the neighbors car:( (Great way to get off to a good start with new neighbors) I guess they got it all worked out and Sean said the neighbors were very cool about it..... but in spite of the mishaps progress is being made, I think they got most of the really big stuff tonight....I will know when I get there tomorrow.

BJ - hang on - Randall called to say they were expecting up to 5" of SNOW - dag gone it all - tonight. (I got the email on school closures before he heard!). Roy here says (after retiring from the airlines) that it will cause flight cancellations and delays, and I may not be able to get through to Raleigh - it's possible I'll end up on that there couch. Otherwise, I'm flying out on Tuesday morning and will be in Dallas before you get up, unless you've got chickens - jmmmmmm which you do........well, I'll be there early at DAL.

Linda Kay - I've managed to wrangle a car for tomorrow here, but don't have permission yet to drive it out of town. they need me to take Pat to a doctor's appt., and be a patient's advocate to get them to rethink her stitches, but that's my last full day here. I've been doing "couples counseling" all weekend and I'm beat. I'll call you in the a.m. and we'll talk.

Tried to read more - but after about 20 posts, lost track. admission - Pat and Roy took me to Texas Roadhouse tonight - I came sooooooo close to jumping up and line dancing with the waiters!! don't tell my doctor - I drank too Margaritas - the first was sweet "Roadie" - unexpected = I had to order a regular one. I don't really drink, so I had to eat extra rolls with cinnamon sugar butter, and peanuts before the salad. the filet was melting butter beef, and that was the best baked sweet potato I've ever had! I've gained at least 15 lbs.

The good thing about having too many projects going on... one can always pick up something else, when your attention span's kinda burnt with another!! So... answer to your question. Yes, Debra, did managed to 'pre-quilt' but not for a quilt :D

BJ, do you have extra belts for the tumbler? Last time when you got ambitious with your tumbler, it burnt a couple, didn't it?

Good thing it's just the car, Trisha.. and not the house!! You and Laura must be relieved, those big stuffs are moved out first while the guys are there. I remember years back in Singapore when I was a kid.. when one relative decided to move out, the whole clan showed up, with trucks, cars, vans.. all the manpower available at no cost. Then after the move, plates of fried noodles will be passed around! Us kids and cousins had fun making new acquaintances in the new area.

Supposed to be high winds tomorrow, but no snow.. Good news there. Other parts of NC are already hit with snow.
Bon, I know it's snowing in Raleigh... some say about 6 inches. I rather face snow than trying to counsel couples like you do!!! Kinda dangerous grounds there :D

So to all that must travel in bad weather.. please be careful tomorrow.

Well I can not sleep anymore so I came here to say WE HAVE SNOW... I don't know how much as I am in bed with laptop and have not gotten out of here yet... I am going to now as I will load the wood stove and go outside to see the pretty white snow... I will take pictures later to show.. Out of my window it kinda looks like it is still snowing but will see in a few.... Hope everyone stays safe if you are getting any bad weather...

Good morning all well it did snow here but not much today I will be home and start to work on my house as the cleaning goes I can't even get in my closet so I have taken a before picture and when I am done I will take and after picture thats the first of the closets
Well yesterday was a good day I went to the Nursing home about 10 yesterday and was with my dad till 3 we stayed down in the physical Therapy room till 3 he wood work out buy rolling this feet and doing arm lift we were also watching a movie that I got so that was good he is getting better and want to break lose from there but they are rated 10 top Physical Therapy in WI so he is going to stay and see what will happen on Monday and it is getting better A little at the home and than Tuesday we have a meeting with all so we will see.
Than after at Nursing home went to my Mother had to pick up drugs and sherbet for her and she has never had a DVD player so I went to walmart and got a small one for her after trying 2 TV that are old I couldn't get it to work I try the new one and it worked great its a small TV but she will be able to watch movies. She is doing OK still doesn't feel her self quite yet but it takes time
OK I am wide awake so off to work I will go

Morning Ladies... sheesh, I didn't want to get up this morning !!! Was way too warm and comfy in bed.

Jaye... the rotating tumbler burned up it's motor... wasn't a very good one. So, Don bought me a vibrating tumbler, and it doesn't use belts... it's quieter, and faster than a rotating tumbler. More expensive... but it has less parts to go wrong with it. Hopefully it will last longer than that rotating one.

Darn, Bonnie... Just get to Dallas, and stay with me till the snow goes away in Raleigh. Mike will be staying home from School on Tuesday because they're taking the TAKS test (State Standardized Test), and they don't want him to take it... so he'll just skip school that day.... Then Wed, he has a Track Meet, and Don and I both will go to that. Don and I both will be home Thurs and Fri, but I think we'll be getting our taxes done one of those days. And that's all the plans I have this week, I think.

Oh Debra!!! How beautiful Lauren is and what a great job you did on the album. I love the picture of her putting the Staffordshire dog back…immediately I saw a little 3 year old girl that got caught in the act of touching something that was forbidden. I almost cried…Enjoy this day when it gets here. It will be your day to shine as MOB as well. You will have so much on your mind, but please take the time to enjoy it with those close to you as it’s something that will live in your memory forever.

BJ, I think you’ll do fine with your students…you get what you give…and she isn’t giving a lot, seems to me!

Kim, I’m so sorry you have had all that with your parents. I know how hard that is. Love your pictures…

Deb, you are a burp pad sewing queen!!! Miss you girl, hope you’re planning on being at BJ’s in May.

Oh LK, I love the little hummer. Can’t wait for them to get back here, but it will be at least Mother’s day before we see them here. :O(

Well, I survived!!! I babysat with Kavin yesterday while Mommy and Daddy get rooms ready for the new baby coming in 9 weeks. Turns out there were plenty of play things...candy dish, coasters, cell phone, remote control...plus the few things that Nana does keep stashed in the basement. Plus he brought his own toys too, but didn't have much use for them.

Christian (DDIL) told me he would probably take a nap if I would lay down with him. So after lunch, I said let's go lay down. I told him to shut his eyes about three times. Within 10 minutes he was asleep and within 11 minutes I was asleep. Two hours later, he woke up and I woke up. :O) I like that kind of babysitting!

Seriously, he was a joy to have, though he did haul off and smack Abbie (one of the cats) in the face with the cell phone. Not sure where that came from.

He is 22 months old and we measured him on the Grandkids Measure and he is exactly 3 feet tall. He is a monster. He said the older girls where he goes for his babysitter call him "Tank". I just call him KJ. It's pretty funny. I have always called him KJ, but no one else does (well, Bill does sometimes) and yesterday, every time I said KJ, he said KJ right back to me. It was pretty cute. Oh Nana's are silly....
enough.....

Mom's doing pretty good. She's still awfully weak and has no appetite. She doesn't want to move because she's so weak, and I told her if she doesn't move around she isn't going to gain her strength back. Anyway, they told Dad to bring her clothes, cause she's going to be having some therapy. They'll get her stronger whether she wants to move or not! Dad still has it bad in his knee even after the cortisone shot he received. He said he thought he'd wait till Mom got home to do anything about it, and I said better to do it now while someone else is the primary care giver. He said, we'll see. I said, Listen to your smart daughter.... ;o)

I had a nice visit with my daughter yerterday. Don't get to spend much time with her because she is the store director of the Pendleton Albertsons, Busy, busy all the time! I had to hide her sweater Im knitting, almost forgot, but got it put up just before she got here.

I sorry some of you are getting snow but I guess its better you than me, I lived in Colburn Idaho for 4 years and hated it when it snowed. It always managed to drop about 8 feet!

All you guys showing your puppies to us makes me want one to but my husband would wring my neck if I brought another dog home, we have 2 big chocolate Labs now that are home dogs. They are great he said that they are enough, if I had my way I would have a dozen, I love dogs

I am excited about the spring swap! It will be my 1st, I can't to see what everyone gets. The swaps sounded like so much fun when Cindy was telling me about them. Has anyone heard how Cindy been doing with diet and weight lose?
I haven't seem to be here when she is.

I love Chocolate Labs and Great Danes! So I have the biggest breed of cat LOL!

I hope everyone stays safe with all of this snow that's falling all over the place. I've never lived in an area where it snowed, and I love the snow, but I can tell ya that I wouldn't want to shovel it.

Oh that reminds me. My daughter had to have her Golden put down. She was having seisures and had started losing control of her bladder. She also had hip problems and they had started to carry her everywhere. So sad. Anyway, they had her cremated and when they went to pick her up there was a flyer at the cemetary. It was looking for a home for two lab mixes. One black and one yellow. The people were losing their home and they couldn't keep them. They wanted them to go together and the lab rescue couldn't guarantee that they would. Lisa said they felt so bad for them but they had decided not to get a dog for awhile. Hmmmm...we'll see if she keeps to that!

hi all, don't know how long I will be on, puter keeps locking up on me every few minutes. so I have been cleaning house a little. getting around a little more since I got the Zazzy. Gp to neurosurgeon on March 10 to find out whats going to happen

keeping these short in case puter locks up again. house is a mess since the storm and so is my truck. insurance adjuster will let us know soon whats going to happen. I didn't know my truck was so bad till I got the carport off of it and got the truck washed. I cried for hours when I saw all the scratches

the storm lifted our roof, twisted our house and droped the roof back down, I know we are getting a ner roof, but don't know whats going to happen to the crackes in walls, ceilings, and floors.

Sorry to here about all the things that are going wrong I hope that all will turn out great and you have extra TO TAKE A SMALL vacation to recoup from being all upset

Morning All,

Was here early this morning but no one else was so I watched my shows before going to Curves. LOL, I got to working so hard and fast I had to slow down got my heart rate up to high. Came home went to the hot tub, had breakfast, now I'm going to go do some crafting, although I feel like sewing.

Fogot to say...Today was day for of exercise so I don't think I've lost much. The 19th in my weight in date so we will see then. LOLMAO, Rick couldn't get into his good jeans last night. On the way home from Chevy's he had to undo his belt and zipper. He said "Yep time to work out on the Bowflex, yea right we'll see. I'm going to work out on it tomarrow and see if he does. ^_^
