Pretty rose, Celeste!

Sharon - not yet......leaving here on 4/28 and arriving at the farm on 5/6. Packing........see what we did yesterday? I had to have Hank dump the gorgeous petunias and my pole beans with flowers on them. Sniff. I'm tellin' ya.......I wasn't meant to be a snowbird.....too hard to leave things!!! LOL

That is hard DonnieB but you must think of the prettiful things that are anxiously waiting for you to get back to NH.

Thomaston, CT

Let us know how 'Angel Face' winters for you, Pixie---and take a photo of the clem--and of course, Miss Spoiled One! Sorry you have to break camp, Louise, but the air is fresh in NH, & there'll be daffs & tulips!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

You are both so correct! I am actually looking forward to getting back to the farm. Here is today's progress......LOL This is the Big Moment for us snowbirds. Once the Yakima goes on top of the car, the neighbors start calling to get together one last time. We just got back from dinner at our collective favorite waterfront seafood restaurant with one couple.

Um DonnieB I seemed to have been missed on the invitation to the the collective favorite waterfront seafood restaurant. Just sharing that cuz I'm a little bummed out bout it :( Unless there was no plane parking available? It would be ok it that was the case.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

You have been missed here in NH, Louise.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Maybe we can create a map of Louise spottings on her northward migration - like the hummingbird one!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Great idea!!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

lol-good idea

Thomaston, CT

Hard to say good-bye to good friends!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

LOL, Dahlia!! Fly your plane on down here, and we'll go out to the restaurant again!!

Thank you so much, Candyce! I've missed you guys too!!! We're both at that place where we're ready to see our Northern family and friends!

I've been so weepy today, on this 2-month anniversary of losing our Molly. After doing so well for awhile, I guess it's just all the packup of things and constantly coming across her things. Rats, my eyes are so swollen again. Ugh.

Victor - LOL - don't you worry - I will be checking in from a few hotels along the way. You get that Eastern Seaboard map ready!!!! You've got Jan and Jen on board already! LOL

One week from today, in fact, and we're outta here. I think we're both pretty ready to go today! Tonight we are having dinner with my niece; tomorrow night there's a small riverfront mango daiquiri/superb banana cream pie gathering in "the gazebo" at sunset at my neighbor's. We're bringing shrimp cocktails to add to the strange mix of delights!! That's the way our next week will go.

Robin - you're so right! We are so fortunate to have such fun, kind friends here - of all ages. We will miss them.

Celeste - I think you should wear those bunny ears to the next NE RU!! LOL

Thomaston, CT

I know what you mean about feeling sad after packing up without Molly, Louise. It was so difficult seeing our wolfhound's things after she was gone. Airedale Rescue sends out a twice-yearly newsletter, along with tributes to the dales who passed. One person wrote, "....often there is one (dog) who connects with us at a level beyond all others." I know that's how you felt about Molly.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

It's still hard when I come across Phoebe's things, or come accross something I know she would really like, or reminds me of her. It's been almost 2 years now---she was the one dog....

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Sigh! I miss Florida. I didn't go this year, because I went to Texas instead. Texas is really nice, too, though, and I would much rather live there than Florida, if I was choosing a spot to live down south.

It will be very hard for me when my Patches passes. I will miss her dearly. She is so sweet, and has been the perfect dog for me.

I can't believe it's been a year since we lost our lovely Livingston. She really was my best friend through a whole lot of stuff. *sigh*

Now that we have Roscoe I guess we'll just have to train him to be a confidante!

Thomaston, CT

My Suey is the one I talk to---my dale is not much of a listener---especially if he's doing something he shouldn't which is pretty much of the time!

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I talk to Wallingford - but I really don't think he listens to me. Sigh.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I'll bet he does listen to you. He just stores what you say all away in his little kitty cat brain and then brings it out at a later date.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Un huh! More like blackmail me for treats!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

LOL!
I hadn't thought of in that way! Too funny!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

I like to think that all of our special, beloved pets are in pet heaven having lots of fun together. It's nice that so many of us share such feelings and truly understand how each of us feels when we go through it. My heart just aches whenever I hear that someone has lost their fur persons, and I have tears now just thinking about Robin's wolfhound, Phoebe and Livingston as well as Molly and our other precious pets.

Thomaston, CT

Another quote from the airedale rescue newsletter-----"Rainbow Bridge Crossings" "Gone from our sight, but never from our memories; Gone from our touch, but never our hearts"----that is comforting to me, Louise---I hope to you.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Yes, it is, Robin. Thank you.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I have some very exciting news! My Holly did not die from the harsh winter, Mamma Bunny made a burrow under it.
Sophie is an Aunt many times over!!!!!
5 we think, 3 that are tans and browns and 2 white bunnies. One has Sophie's pink eyes, the other white one does not.
I'll load some pictures later, right now I need a shower from a good day of yard work.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great! Congrats.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Yahoo! And the Sox are winning! 16/11--bottom of the 8th!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Wow, Celeste! You are a Grandmother again.......and again, and again......That's so cool! Can't wait to see the pictures!

Amsterdam, NY(Zone 5a)

What will happen to the white bunnies? Will the mother abandon them as Sophie was abandoned? Is it odd for there to be so many white bunnies in the wild? My Susie only has tan babies.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

dbsmith, these were not "wild bunnies" the grandparent of these bunnies were someones pet at one time. They were let loose outside and they multiplied. So they are wild domestic bunnies.

OK so I was wrong about the numbers! It seems we have 5 of the tan, grays and browns and 2 white. One with Pink eyes like Sophie and one that does not seem to have the pink eyes. I counted 7 (I think) this morning.

This was taken last night thru the window/screen ect. there are 4 here.

TOOOOOO cute!!!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Oh Celeste! I love that one! The markings are so pretty!! You are one lucky lady. These bunnies know who to turn to when they need a helping hand.

North Augusta, ON

Adorable!! I'm in love with the multi-coloured one, he/she is gonna be a looker!!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Oh! They are all beautiful! I love the one with Brian and the one that resembles Sophie. You know, we are gonna have to name all these kids now...Keep the pics coming when you can please!
