I didn't know bunnies were so familar. Maybe they will have a white baby and name it after Auntie Sophie!

Happy Easter, Celeste! Those bunnies are cute, cute, cute! Are you and Brian planning a Bunny Hotel & Condo Association on your property????? LOL

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hi Louise! No bunny condo, the neighbors have that part. We just run a buffet! lol

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

How sweet to see them all 'growing up'! Sophie ... don't you go running off with Peter Rabbit tonight. Your momma would be so heartbroken, and so would your papa!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hi Candyce! Brian put an extra bolt on her cage for tonight. hee hee

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Good man, Brian!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

There will be no hanky panky with bunny tails tonight. Not on his watch!! lol

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Hoppy Easter, Sophie!!

Thomaston, CT

I hope Sophie got a surprise from the Easter Bunny--extra veggies!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Funny you should say that.....she had cabbage for the first time!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Did she enjoy her new treat?

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Columbus just stopped in to say hi and catch up on all the Sophie news--He's quite impressed with her digs and those big white ears! Pixie--tell Brian he'd better keep that lock handy--LOL! She's beautiful! Congrats on your 1 year anniversary! It has been quite a few years for me now--it gets so much easier--keep up the good work!

Ohhhh, Cousin Nut, bunnies are very familiar! I don't think they distinguish between related and not related. LOL!

Your bunnies are awfully cute, Celeste! And Columbus is looking quite adorable, too, Phoebe!

Karen

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh Phoebe, Columbus is even more handsome than the last time I saw him. I think he's grown some too, although he's much smaller than Sophie. There are 2 Lionhead Rabbits at the Petstore and DH fell in love with one the same color as Columbus. I explained that Sophie's breed is much larger. She would always be bigger and therefore kick the crap out of him. lol Besides, I don't want baby rabbits! One inside and 2 out is enough!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Pixie,If it helps, You can tell Brian that Columbus does not like to cuddle! I don't know if it is a lionhead thing, or a Columbus thing, but he hates it! LOL! I found him in a feed store, kept in an enclosure where anyone could pick him up and handle him (often improperly most likely) 12 hours a day, w/o any monitoring. I had a sense that although he wasn't technically homeless, I was rescuing him. He also prefers small spaces--he litterally panics if I remove him from his cage rather than let him exit on his own. He loves it when I rub his nose and cheeks--and he chins me, and anything I put in his cage. And when I work on my violets, he is always interested! When he is out of the cage, he checks in with me frequently--just making sure I'm still around. He is a sweetie! BTW--In the rabbit world, size does not always dictate dominence, although I'm sure Miss Sophie would always be top bunny at your house!

What a beautiful violet!!!!!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

It's called Sunkissed Rose--the blooms are huge!
Here's a tiny mini--Tundra Snowflake--this whole plant isn't much bigger than the flower on Sunkissed Rose!

Phoebe - Sweet Columbus is so cute and your violet is very pretty! My heart has a big soft spot for rescued animals! Good for you for liberating Columbus!!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Phoebe, I would say that the misshandling of Columbus when he was little would be the reason he doesn't like cuddling. Poor thing! Good thing you got him!

I love your violets. I have never grown them. I'm just getting into growing orchids. I have three so far. Watch out! AV's will probably be next!

I have 2 violets, but not as pretty as those---I tend to buy the cheapies, because my houseplants don't do as well as they should! Loved the photo of Columbus----I wish folks would be more aware of animals' feelings!

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

That is what my cats say, too! The feelings thing.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Columbus is just too cute for words. I love the color and the markings.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Hey Karen! We're waiting for you over on the violets forum! LOL! I wish I had a garden like you guys, but not this year I guess. Robin, most of us collectors started with the cheapies--and some are still my favorites. Columbus thanks you all for your comments--he's not too happy with me right now--flipped his dish b/c I didn't have banana for him this am, and I'm out of parsley. Guess I'm off to the store!

They certainly make their wishes known!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

finicky bunnies! Who'da thunk?

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Oh yeah! You wouldn't believe...bunnytude!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh yes! I agree...they make their likes and dislikes known. Miss Spoiled brat will hide in her hutch when she's P.O.'d at Brian.
The dumb a$$ will get down on is knee's cooing to her and apologizing for what ever. I said 'hey...after 23 years you don't do that for me!" ! lol

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Celeste - maybe you could pick up some of those Playboy Bunny ears and get the same treatment Sophie gets!! LOL

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I've got some in the closet....lol(DD's halloween costume )

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Get 'em outta the closed, Pixie.....whatever works!!

Hey DB, you home yet?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Can't complain, he bought me a new clem "Lincoln Star" and a this lavender rose bush called 'Angel Face".
