Getting ready to leave for Curves in a few minutes...
Just had a nice long post disappear into the ozone so will have to catch up again later....
Susan there are lots of brands of Polymer Clay....started a thread on the Crafts and Decorating Forum that has a lot good information on different clays http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/953584/
Pipe tobacco smells great but unfortunately pipes are just as bad for you as any other form of smoking...but would be great to mix with clay or make insect spray for your plants.
Have to run....talk later.
Sweet Interruptions 107
Too funny Joyce... so, I won't tell you I just had to come in and change into shorts... was sweating so bad I couldn't see out of my glasses.
BUT, I'm about half way done with the chipping and shredding... then comes the hard part... sifting through the composted part to get the biggest chunks out.
I forgot to say, I love your quilt Debra... you're so talented in putting all those different patterns together.
So glad that Mocha is better... giver her a hug for me.
Yep, Marion... good help is hard to get around here too... however, he did tell me that he might not get back until tonight... he doesn't have a vehicle right now, and has to depend on someone to bring him home... so, he said if he didn't get a ride Sun night, he'd get his dad to bring him home after work this evening... his dad works int he same town he spent the weekend. So, all may not be lost.
But, I usually do have a problem getting help to show up too... seems like NOBODY wants to do the things I don't want to do (or can't do) myself.
Stace, he was suppose to be here at 8am... his dog was here, but he wasn't. Sweetest Lab I've ever met... and very well mannered.
Ok, back to work... I feel like I'm on the downhill slide now... at least with the pile of chipping/shredding to do.
BJ-I will cross my fingers that he shows tomorrow:)
She is just to cute... Almost all puppies have wormes... I love her face...
Hugs,
Susan
Donna, thanks for the comment on my pond. It's in need of TLC right now. But while it's raining I'm not going to mess with it. But I'm hoping to get some plants and seeds around it tomarrow before the other storm comes in. A town close to us the main road way is major flooded right now. And some CRAZY person in a small car tried to go across and got washed part way down stream.
Cody and Donna, would both take a good pix of yours pups. Kind like a mug shot. Have something I want to try and make.
Cody, Mocha is sooooooooooo CUTE!!!!! :( I want a puppy pom :(
Thanks Cindy. Why don't you get a puppy? They are some much fun to love on.
When I moved in here with Rick we had 4 dogs, both of mine died, one of his is close to seeing doggie heaven,Bear well he will probably be around for awhile. I want to wait until we find some property and move. Then I want to get a toy Pomeranian.
Geez, Mocha's toys are almost bigger than her, lol.
Cindy, when is went to the vet last week. She only weigh 1lb and 3oz she is tiny.
a sunny good afternoon all!
Y'all know, there are so many wonderful folks on here now, I get about 20 posts down in my reading and forget what I wanted to type in as responses - so I remember only the first four or so. For instance -
Susan - my baby sister's MIL is in Danville and she goes there a few times a year, once in a while I go with her. maybe I'll see you some time. But I didn't know Danville was also a tobacco town. As a kid transferred by IBM to Raleigh, I was fascinated with the NC towns that I'd seen on billboards: Durham, Winston Salem, Raleigh. Danville, huh?
Jaye - I have this unerasable mental picture now of Ken up in heaven. "I go to prepare a place for you" has become a place at the table surrounded by platters of Chicken Fried Steak, gravy and biscuits like I had at the Bluebonnet Cafe!! And ol' Ken there, knife and fork ready with a big grin on his face!
BJ - ok, you've convinced me. I'll put a pair of jeans and an old tshirt in my carryon bag, but you'll have to loan me a pair of work gloves and muck boots 'cause I didn't pack those! I'd love to come help with the compost! What I wouldn't give after a week cooped up in an apartment to get out in a garden!
Y'all are making me miss Hope so much. Wonderinf if Hope should have a new doggie buddy. Not little dogs - I tend to step on those. Hope is showing age - wonder if she could handle having a pup around?
My friends are thinking I'm crazy. I'm ignoring things they take photos of on this trip, and I'm taking pictures of fountains (I want to add a water feature) architecture, plants (what are you taking a photo of, they ask curiously?) and landscaping!
Mocha is soo cute.. She really is tiny..Is she a Teacup? Bella is 12 weeks and 15 pounds but the vet said she was alittle underweight due to her worms before she was treated.. She is putting weight back on fast though.. They say in a month she will double her size.. I cant wait! She goes back to teh vet th eweek of March 2nd for her 3rd set of shots..
Cindy what kind of photo do you need? Here is photo album of pics on my photobucket account..
http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l202/ladybarber101/Bella/
Thanks Donna, yes she is a teacup. It is scarey having her on the floor, because she stays right up under my feet. She will fellow me everywhere i go.It's funny because her beening so tiny all you see is brown bolt when she runs from room to room.Mocha, will be 10 weeks tomorrow, and weigh 1lb and 3oz.She goes back to the vet on the 4th.
Bella,is a real cutie pie.

TY Cody,,,
I understand that under foot thing.. Bell aloves to trip me when we are running in the yard..lol
Lik ethe smaller puppies I just never had anything smaller than a terrier.. Always afraid I might hurt them as I d tend to be a bull in a china shop..
Hello!!!!
I just want to post a few things before I go back and lay down. This cold or flu or whatever it is really bit me good.
Cathy I hope the insurance is good to you, I didn't think it got that bad where you are at either.
Jaye I am so sorry for your loss, but I know how it is to look back on someone else's life and see all of the good and bad, I've done that with my grandfather daily for the last 11 1/2 years, he is in a better place and looking down on you.
Debra I love that quilt! My grandmother used to sew them by hand, me and about 10 to 15 other women helping her, she used to put them on a huge quilt frame and invite a bunch of women over and they would sit, sew, and chat. I could never make a quilt by hand, let alone by machine lol! Have to own a machine first!
I'm so glad Mocha's getting better!
I Called in sick this morning. After I typed my post last night I got a fever that wouldn't go away. I took medicine and more medicine, all fever reducers, that did nothing. It wasn't very high, maybe a degree or two, and I get a fever if I get the sniffles, so I went to bed. The alarm went off at 6 and I said, "Oh there ain't no way!" I still had the fever I thought would break in the middle of the night, that's what they usually do for me. Set my phone alarm for 7:45, it went off, I called work, then left a message on Jeff's cell phone and told him I wasn't coming in but if he wanted to call me back he could, of course he hasn't. My fever broke at 9 this morning with no medicine and now I have a sinus headache. I feel better just getting rid of the stupid fever. LOL when I called work Terry asked if I was going to go to the dr, I said, "No, I'm not going anywhere but back to sleep!" My cold was actually on the local news last night, identical symptoms, and said Do Not go to the dr for it even though you feel like you're going to die, it's a virus and drs can't do anything for it. They called it something and I don't remember what it was, the something Bug.
Thanks Donna, that is what I want. So Cody post a good pix of Mocha so I can copy it.
Hmmm... Mug shots of dogs... now, what on earth is our purple butterfly up to?
Very pretty, Fairy Fingers... looks like you're ready to cut out your quilt.
you really like them BJ-I have been waiting for an opinion...............
Those fabrics are very nice! Your rag quilt will look pretty, when finished!
LK
I am si glad you approve:) I was nervous picking them out....phew-now I can stop sweating!!
OH, I love them... you did sooo good picking them out...
When you're ready, maybe you'll join one of our fat quarter swaps some day. You coordinated fabrics as well as anyone else.
You are very welcome Donna.
Thank you Crissy.
Sure Cindy you can copy the picture of Mocha if you like.
Stacey,go for it those are pretty.
Tink, great job with the fabrics! That is going to be one nice, bright spring quilt. So LOL, I knew we would get to you one of these days.
Cody, Mocha is so adorable. So happy she is improving and best of all--you still have her!!!
Major computer problems today. Seems the new one I just purchased doesn't have the things listed on the sheet nor told to me by the sales rep. Guess it is back to the store tomorrow to have a friendly discussion with the people. It could actually be misboxed at the factory also but either way--it is back to the store!
Been a tiring, exhausting day so I will bid everyone good night. Be safe all.
thank you for your feedback-I wanted bright, but I wanted the other fabrics to be complimentary back fabrics with the tink fabric being the main pieces-it is going to be 4' X 5' 4", so it is either 48 squares for just the front or if I want both the front and back to be the same, then it will be 96 sqares-8"finished squares...
Thanks Marion.She is doing good.
Stacey, you are braver then me to do that.
Good night everyone!!!May god bless you all!!!!!
Good night Cody....love ya..
Good night Trisha, sleep well.Love ya too!!!

Good morning.
Great fabric choices, Stacey! Love the colors.
I want to put that little Mocha in my pocket and sneak her home with me. No, I wouldn't do that to you or your son, Cody. (not unless given the opportunity) lol!
Jaye, safe travels to the funeral today.
Had a big turnout at DD's shower last night. Will post a photo later.
Off to take some meds. I spent all day cleaning house yesterday and got carried away. Vacuumed heat/air vents, etc. Couldn't sleep last night due to headache, earache, sore throat. Sounds like my allergies are fired up. And need to finish cleaning today. Only got it 1/2 done!
