I was reading very thing and It sure is scary to think of the tornados.

I made elk sauage yesterday after I met you all. It is the second batch we have made. The first one german flavored and 2nd was chorizo. And it snowed again, everything turned white but by 3 in the afternoon it was gone, THANK GOD!

sissy, have yu tried to make elk jerky? My brother sent me some a few years ago, and it was so good. He also had some elk summer sausage, (like slim jims)? It was all good.

Yea I have tried the jecky and we wanted to make some but we don't have the equipment yet. Next year if my husband gets an elk, we are going to but the dehydrater. i was reading an email that arejay sent me about giving me seeds but I really don't like flowers that grow in the summer and then in the fall you have a real mess to clean up when they die back. So I will have to think about that one

Well, I guess gardens are not for everyone, but most of us here love the colors, and lovely scents, and the joy of growing something. You might want to give it a try, and it is not that bad of a mess to clean up in the fall. Maybe you can start with just a small area, and give it a try?

Tater its not that I don't like the flowers and their beauty, but at my age I would rather be doing the things I always wanted to while I was working. I love knitting, and sewing and making all my xmas presents so if I work outside very much I don't get to enjoy these things. I do put in a vegatable garden very year and can the vegs.
Well Ladies I have to run now it time to start my day rolling.

Well, today will hopefully be a good day. I am getting my car fixed, and then DH and I are going to a movie-Tues is $6 movie day at this one theater by where he works. We are also going to have lunch at his work as it is free:) I also just got an email back from my old District manager-when I had gotten my last check it did not include the hours I was promised for my last week there, so I had emailed him yesterday and he got back with me today letting me know they are mailing me another check for 48 hours-that is very good news!!

Tomorrow I will start my spring cleaning and my seed sorting and sewing-I am excited-I also have a few projects I am working on too-like my Welcome Spring swap pressie and some stuff for me:) I had my lazy peice of crap week, so tomorrow I start getting things taken care of so that on Monday I can be all ready to tackle the world of resumes and job hunting!!

No problem. Life is too short, by all means do what you want to do! A lot of us here, are house wives, and we do what we want to for a change. Some of us still have to work, but thier day will come so they too can do what they want!
What kind of veggies do you can. That is a job in itself! My Mom used to can a lot, I just never picked it up. Wish I did.

I am enjoying the girl toy very much! Thanks. No matter where I go, someone stops and comments on it. I was at wal mart the other day with Dad, and an older gentleman followed us out to the car, so he could have the electric shopping cart. He looked at me and said, you don't look like the type of person tohave such a "snazzy" car! I just smiled, and told him I love my snazzy car very much!

Aw-an old man said it was snazzy-how sweet!!LOL

Jaye, I had to laugh when you asked if we had an underground shelter. It would take dynamite - we live on top of rock, rocks, and rocky rocks. LOL! Actually we are behind a hill that provides protection. Our house is very solid and, if need be, we all go to my closet with blankets, pillows, flashlights, a radio, and cell phones - DH, the two dogs and myself. The dogs love it!

Yes I am scared of the tornadoes but Dave is going to stay home with me tonight, he finally got mad at his work. he's worked 3 1/2 weeks in a row without a day off on 3rd shift (graveyard) and he's the only person who pulls parts on 3rd for several different departments, totaling about 20 guys. They kept him so busy last night he didn't have time to make a cup of tea, let alone drink it or take a lunch break, then when the dayshift guys came in they told him that he's lazy and needs to work more. Oh he was pissed and said staying home with his wife making sure she is safe is more important than being yelled at for not working when there are 3 people who do absolutely Nothing, plus lie on their time cards and never get in trouble for anything. Not Good.

That chocolate cake looks so good I want to eat the paper I can print it on.

You're welcome. Someday maybe I can be a housewife. Yea right, I tried that when we moved here, I lasted 2 months and I was going out of my mind.

Oh, I wanted to say that I seem to be doing better today, have only had 2 minor cramps, one around 7am and the other around 9am, but haven't need to go to the bathroom, so Yay!

Morning Everyone,

Had an early doc appt with a nerve doc for my hands. After all the zapping and making my hands jump all over the table he tells me it's arthritis not carpel tunnel. I told him I knew it was and had been telling my doc for a year now that, that's what it was. Dang those little zaps hurt, plus he stuck me with little needles and made me bleed.

So now back to my doc for her to refer me to another doc to take care of hands, hopefully. I need them fixed before May so I can bowl in a tournament in Carson City.

Morning all I can only talk for a little while this morning, have dentist appt at 8/

tater, I like to plant tomatoes, potatoes, cucumber, and squash, but the old man get carried away and plant any thing he can get his hands when its time to plant. we make pickle , bread & butter, dill, sweets. I like to can stewed tomatoes and relishes.

I wondered where you were yesterday purpbutfly, I had to call your mom to find out how to do something on Tory's sweater. Its a good thing I am starting it now. Might get it done for xmas haha
