Trisha-It is OK
Cathy-I agree with Trisha-when you first got on here, you were much more upbeat. Lately it seems that some of the things that you post (few and far between) are almost a verbal diarrhea......all we are saying is that we miss the Cathy of old and am hoping you can find her someplace.
Well, in my drunken stupor I have 3 pages of my grievance letter written and am almost done I think-I need to reread it tomorrow and make sure I make sense before finishing it and sending it-I will be dmail you Deb!!
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞102
Just 3 pages, niece? Legal size maybe! So you must feel much better!
Cathy, this too shall pass..
Tomorrow comes early and I'm off to bed. Sleep well my sistahs..
Good night Jaye.
Sleep well everyone....I have to run to the store....no coffee for morning.......:(
Stacey, sounds like the letters my DH writes.....3 pages is a short one for him!!
Gonna try a small changing pad first. Good idea to go small first (thanks Jaye). Has anyone ever sawed off a finger using a rotary cutter? I just sawed off a finger nail :(
I bet you can find Camellia talk in the California forum. I haven't heard anyone mention camellias on Midsouth but there has to be, I'm just not going into the right threads. know a lot of people, especially in the tropical climates, that grow them. They are all over the Central Valley and Bay Area in California.
Good for you Audrey! You go Girl!
Debra I'm a nerd, I didn't even think of it, I still don't know very many people here and am so used to doing everything by myself lol! Dmail me your phone #, I'm always looking for something to do while Dave's asleep during the days.
LOL Trisha!
Well, I had a better day today once I got over the morning, which didn't take all that long this time. I'm still not 100% but I'm working on it.
Oh I was going to say something to someone and forgot. I'll try to find it tomorrow, I'm too tired and 6am comes awfully early for me.
Does anyone want to spend the night with me Tuesday night? I'm very afraid of this severe weather we have coming and I'm sure Dave will go to work and I don't want to be alone. I need a babysitter :(
Luv Ya'll!
a walking foot? Do I have one? How can I tell? My sewing machine came with a few feet I just don't know if I have one. This sewing gets complicating when terms like walking foot are supposed to be a given. I don't have any already learned experience on any of these given terms. Boo Hoo woe is me :(
I went shopping for fabric for the Think Spring quilt block and saw so many pretty things that made me think of you all.
There was a wonderful bright green material with red lady
bugs about the size of my thumb nail scattered over it. Cute as could be.
Then there was material in two different background colors with lovely dragonflys all over it. They looked almost like fairies floating across the material.
Then I came across a light yellow and green fabric with snails, crickets, beatles, amd ferns all over it. Couldn't pass that one up and had to have it. Don't have the ghost of an idea of what I will do with it but it seemed so Summer and gardens and I am all about anything I can get that reminds me there still IS going to be Spring and Summer sometime this year .
I picked up a piece of fabric that reminded me of my Valentine swap buddy and quick put it in her box that goes out tomorrow. Hope she likes it along with the other things in the box.
Oh Crissy, I was all ready to come keep you company but DH said NO......he doesn't like your weather either...but I will keep you company online....know it's not the same but best I can do right now....
Deborah, look in the book that came with your machine. Mine has pictures of all of the things that came with the machine and names for them. I don't do my own quilting and never did. My baby quilts I tie and I did that with the T-Shirt quilts, too. The big ones I send out to someone who has a machine to quilt them. If you really want to quilt yourself you really should take a class if you are close to a good quilt shop.
When your quilt top is completly finished you place the backing on the back of the quilt top, take the fabric for the back of the quilt, right side DOWN on top of the right side of the quilt top and sew around the edges, leaving enough room at one end to turn the quilt inside out. Turning is called "birthing" a quilt. When you are finished, turn the quilt inside out so the top is right side out, the batting is in the middle, and the quilt back is right side up on the back. Close the hole that you used to make the turn. Now you can either quilt it by hand, machine, or tie it.
Sorry if this is too much information and you already knew some of this. Wasn't sure where you were having the problem.
Morning everyone..
I think I need coffee to get goin today.. Im sore from the last two days of working outside..
Morning ladies... I know I missed a lot yesterday... I didn't read a lot of it... so if I missed anything I need to know, someone tell me about it, ok?
I spent the day with Mike yesterday... He helped me clean up the side yard... we raked and burned all the limbs and debris from late fall and winter that's been piled up. Then, when we were too tired to move anymore, we came in and watched a movie... took a break, and watched another movie... before we knew it, it was 9pm, and were tuckered out...
So, I missed you all... and there's no way I can catch up this morning... you could have said some awful things about me up there, and I'd never know.
Don's home today, and I had planned to get him to help me with some other things outside... but it rained last night, and is still raining... so I don't think we'll get those things done... but I have another list started that we can pick from.
More coffee... bbl.
Good morning, everyone!
Trisha, how is Laura today? Bless her heart - hope she had a REALLY good time before she fell and hurt herself. Thank goodness she didn't break anything.
BJ, how did Mike enjoy his day with Don? I may have missed the post if you told us.
Well, Don said he was wide eyed and really impressed by all the TV equipment on the truck... Mike said he had a really good time, and everyone there was very nice to him... and the two things he will remember the most is the parking lot with all the Mavericks cars in it, and standing inside the American Airlines Stadium... LOL... I think he enjoyed himself, but he was whipped when he got home.
Morning Ladies,
I would like for all of you to meet my cousin Susan.

Deborah, you have to keep your fingernails and fingers out of the the way of the rotary cutter. They can do a lot of harm. Be careful please!
Stacey, keep us posted about your letter going in.
Crissy, how is your tummy doing? Feeling better?
Jaye, I love the basket, and everything you placed in it. Oh the sauce is great. It is more sweet than we expected, but it is very good. Thank you.

For explaining that. I'm still reading other forums
I like to scrapbook, knit, sew and crochet. I always have to many things going at once. I like playing games on my DS, my grandsons got me hung up on that, but its fun. I live in a small town and everyone is really friendly, I know the post lady by her first and she knows very ones name in town. I have lived here for about 8 years and love it. I am retired. I worked as a bookkeeper for Red Lion for many years then I went back to work with the mentally handicapp adluts. I worked part time at a house where the young girls had been on drugs and drank. They were trying to go straight. I taught them how to care for their children. So as you can see I have had alot in my life. Oh yea I have 14 grandchildren and my husband and I are hoping some day for the 15th from our daughter. We have 5 kids, 2 boys from my 1st marriage, 2boys from his 1st and then we were blessed with a daughter.
I also love dogs and most another kinds of pets. I have two choc labs that are house dogs and if I have my way I would have more. But my husband keeps telling me 2 is enough. Well I guess I have told everything and hope to enjoy this site.
Sissy, you have to post pictures too. We like to see pictures. Some day when you are all gussied up post a pix of yourself. I have some pictures I could post but then you will kill me when I come up in June, lol...........Do I dare????????
Oh haha you know I don't like my picture taken
No Cindy I don't think so you stinker
LOL... Cindy... don't scare her off yet... Ok?
Sissy... we're already enjoying you... you're crafty, you love dogs, and sounds like you have a sense of humor since you like to play games with your kids... you'll feel right at home here.
Well... got to get my day started... Walmart run, Lowes run, and a clay project to work on later... Oh, and gotta find out what Don has planned for us today... I think the weather blew my plans out of the ballpark.
Kim, glad you got your 2009 swap box and that you liked some of the articles that were put in for you..trying to find something for each and every holiday wasn't the easiest off season..thank you for asking, I'm doing much better...
Not sure there was a direction on the candle dipped piece but where you put it if you use the hairdryer from time to time you'll get a lovely scent in that room...
Enjoy!
